Heading into our 3rd year with out Bad Boy Maverick Zero Turn Mower, I share my experiences, both good and bad, along with maintenance item part numbers, and whether I believe this mower was worth the money.

Im in my 2nd year of cutting with my Maverick and love it. Trac Seat came in today and will install this weekend. Hopefully my back thanks me.

Just bought a 2024 with 60 in deck.we also have a 4yo new Holland workmaster 25s with 60 in beck that has been in shop more than out is a real lemon we still have it for hills as it is 4wheel drive.

I have the exact same mower but 60 inch. It is really good. Deck is really solid, No complaints. It beats the Cub Cadet I had previously that was always having problems.

I really enjoyed that review , I am looking into purchasing a maverick in the near future; the only thing that you didn’t mention was the hydros or the transmissions; are they a sealed unit or are they serviceable? The machine looks like it’s build like a tank. 👍

Did you install the seat ride tensioner, or did it come on it when you purchased it? The 2024 Maverick doesn't have it on them. You can purchase what they call "air ride" seat like on the Maverick HD at a whopping extra $850. I'm picking one up this week, but not going to lay out that kinda $$ just for a seat. The HD model comes with the better seat and some upgrades, but not worth an extra $2k in mho. Amazon has the tensioners for about $179, but some reviews say they see no difference in the ride after installing it !? Thanks for the review!

Yes I did install the seat tensioner. I don't recall the cost but it was no where near $850. I believe the HD also has the optional striping kit. My opinion with the seat is that the bigger the driver, the more noticeable the difference.
