I don't mind Neuv and Arlecchino getting so much love from MHY. I do mind how selective they are; it seems they are entirely fine with leaving some characters absolutely ass, while others get everything.
This is a gacha game after all, they thrive on players' fomo. Making all characters relatively good means that you can pull whatever, and less profits.
Cloroform (yk) seems actual dogwater rn but I hope they mass buff cloroforms damage once the arlehype dies down.
I'm quite alright with characters strong in lore be also strong in gameplay.

The hero's journey started with the first beta video and how (relatively) underwhelming she felt at the time, and after all the reworking nightmare, it finally culminated into this. God bless.

The DMG from the beta is same it did get buffed but came back to normal, the only buff she got is that the kit finally became less complicated and actually playable

@@phorealthistime6165 Oh yeah, it was absolutely fine. A fair amount of people were just underwhelmed by her due to her being a highly anticipated character and especially bc of her then hard to understand kit.
Arlecchino is the true speedrunning character in genshin. She benefits from fast clears, and since her highest dps teams don't include a shielder or a healer, the longer you stay in battle the higher chance she dies. I love it
But before her lyney also had a speedrun kit... has no interruption resistance so you also wanted to kill the enemies before they stagger you.
Every pyro dps is a good speedrunner

I've been trying to figure out how to get double swirl and still vape C2 and this helped a lot.
A character that trades durability for offense, like tgs said - for me it's legit some of the most fun mechanics in any game. Being a glass cannon destroying enemies while getting destroyed in return for a single misplay. But it's not even that, having a character like her makes me feel like I'm actually playing instead of just blasting everything with my neuvi or hyperbloom comp, definitely refreshing to see!
ikr water cannon is easy, but less satisfying compared to slicing enemies up with a big red scythe

And this is the very reason I'm quitting genshin for Wuwa. The gameplay in wuwa actually feels like you're fighting enemies that seriously want to keel you. One failed dodge and you're dead. There's also a character in wuwa that trades durability and survivability for damage. I think her name is Danjin. I saw testers literally sitting with 1 HP to access her maximum damage potential so it all depends on how good you are at piloting your character. The embodiment of glass cannon.
In concept it sounds very interesting, but in practice, personally, I don't find NA mashing very fun 😅

@@febbbm2002 I skipped Neuvilette and Furina to C1R1 Wriothesley. I already soloed abyss 4.1, 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5 with him. No plans on getting Neuvilette but will definitely get Furina and Shenhe for my Wriothesley.

Honestly I feel like I don’t even really care anymore how good characters are in this game, the game’s old enough by now that I have the tools to deal with pretty much anything the game could possibly throw at me already. Character likeability and gameplay fun factor feels like the only things that matter when pulling for new chars these days

This, good damage is more of a Bonus as long as a unit doesn't feel terrible to play bc of how weak they hit. My Abyss teams are now simply Arle on one side and Neuvi on other side because both of them feel good in both regards to me.

For Spiral Abyss I'm on the same boat. I just use Rational with C2R1 Raiden and C1 Neuvillette with C6 Jean and C0 Zhongli and Furina. Might swap Zhongli out now that I have C1 but so far that general team just wipes every abyss no matter if I have poor rotations or whatnot. Though I wouldn't mind saving for a better teamwide healer than C6 Jean if there is one? Baizhu I guess?

I love her as well! Been running Arlecchino, Yelan, Sucrose, Bennett in abyss and swapping sucrose for layla in overworld. She’s tied for my favorite character in the game alongside Alhaitham.

They kinda killed his burst, it used to be good to the point that you were able to use it as a sort of nuke(?) with 3 stacks

@@isoundout iirc, his burst was nerfed by 20%, but that’s pretty much it. He didn’t change much compared to his V1, maybe by few precent. A little sad, but burst is not even his main source of damage. So saying he was nerfed in half is a stretch to say the least

I've seen more people talk about Neuvillette stans complaining than actual Neuvi stans lol. Hu Tao mains are the only ones upset from what I can tell.

Hutao mains are one the cringest fan base out there (not all of them ofc)
If anyone didn't notice. The current Abyss buff is basically a 60% buff to Normal and Charge Attacks if you're using any anemo unit to trigger any swirl reaction.
So yes, The dmg inside the abyss is inflated. So before pulling you might want to consider what will happen if the abyss buff doesn't favor her kit.
You also need to understand that her c0 has no resistance to interruption. Which means you need to run her with a shielder if you have skill issues. This compromises your dps in exchange of comfort.
The main point here is that;
- She might "currently" deal amazing damage
- Need to dodge/i-frame for maximum dps if you don't have a shielder / C1
- Reduce her dps potential by adding a shielder in exchange for comfort
- You will most likely waste your time trying to find that perfect no hit, maximum dps run while Neuv and hu tao mains are already done w/ the abyss so they're busy doing resinless behavior in someones teapot.

I clear mine with lvl 75 talent 8-5-5 with a frickin gladiator set with green pogo stick.
Also new mechanics means new support, there is a chance to have good BoL support in the future
@@diwucalberich462 You should also know that Arlecchino's Talent priority is the same as Neuv. Her E and Q doesn't increase her dmg output significantly. (In fact one of the main flaws of her kit is that you don't want to ult as much as possible to retain BoL. It's kinda a waste not to see such beautiful animation)
Her normal attack on Masque of the Red Death on Talent level 8 is 205.8%. On Talent level 10 it becomes 238%
Still pretty far from that 60% dmg buff, but it is indeed something i didn't consider.
U also didnt consider that both neuvilette and hutao are also getting a boost from that blessing.
I did but this is an arlecchino guide not a dmg comparison via abyss.

@@mitzuneyes, but we’ve already seen their performance in other abysses, where they don’t get the buff. And for Arlecchino by an incredible coincidence we can only test her in a very inflated state during her banner. I’m pretty sure she will still perform great in the future, but we need to test it
Ngl, at first I wasn’t crazy about what is essentially melee Yoimiya. But then i took off the shielder and went balls to the wall and its a lot more fun to play on the edge like that

If you have thona just use him with arle. Baizhu is fine for neuvi if you have him instead

I had been playing with a Chevreuse comp and not because it's the best but because it's quite a bit of fun. I've only got c0 for Chevreuse but not like I can do anything about that. I have a c2 Raiden, c4 Dehya and then c0 Chevreuse. I wound up getting Arlecchino to c4 and with a copy of her weapon. Since I have c2 all I really need to do is proc an overload and then I can go straight into attack spam. For having meh artifacts I am still doing some pretty decent damage. I used all of my resin resets on leveling her up so farming the new artifact set is going slow and I have had some tragic rolls. She is a pretty fun unit to play and stuff is dying pretty quickly even though I need a lot of work on my artifacts.
I do feel that when you said you liked her too much. I was only needing two cons and I wound up buying the 100 dollar top up pack. The first time I ever topped up in a bad plan to get more cons. Got a 5 star pull but failed the 50/50 only to get Tighnari. I will likely never forgive him :D 100 dollars for a character I don't even use. Just two more cons is all I need and wont happen until some rerun banner some months down the road.
In the end what a pull session the time she came out. 350 pulls and I got c4 and her weapon. I didn't think I would even make it to c2 tbh. I'm not complaining but I can still be mad about spending a hundred dollars and doing so poorly. O_o
It definitely costs more than $100 for any cons tbh. As for tighnari, he's a great unit, especially c6. I'm 2 cons away T-T
@@nobody-xh6ii when it's your first pack it's enough for one unless it takes you to hard pity and you are low in on it. I never topped up before Arlecchino. Only welkins and and the BP so I had all of my first timer packs. I spent 165 dollars total. If it wasn't so insanely priced I'd whale in this game. I work at a gas station so I ain't spending thousands of dollars per character.
I have Tighnari at c2 now. I never use him nor dendro set ups really. Dendro is great but it's not my playstyle. I only want to lock him in a room with Cyno and let Cyno tell dad jokes all night. 100 is a lot for someone with a normal job to burn on a gatcha game. I no longer have the urge to c6 anyone anymore. Seeing my Arle hit c7 and turn into 25 glitters that was rough though. Worse than hard pities like Raiden was putting me through. Arle spoiled me compared to my Raiden pulls.

8:42 hold on elegy and freedom buff do not stack its written in their description. You can only use 1 weapon from that weapon series.
The ATK% buffs don't stack, but the other parts of the passive do (EM buff & normal attack damage buff).
As someone with massive dyslexia I appreciate having her damage numbers spoken allowed. It’s hard for me to see the difference between 20k and 200k with everything else going on in combat, and I’m never sure if my characters are actually doing funny numbers or I’m just coping lol.

She requires a higher skill level to use, but also has a higher damage ceiling. She's like Lyney, high risk high reward. She can dish out insane damage, but one misstep and you're done.
Spamming left click and doing a rotation after pressing e like 70% of the other characters is not skill .

@@sohambhogale7700 yeah exactly I used her both with a shield and without and I font have kazuha so my team was a medicore team of Xingqiu, lynnete for vv and bennet and I got hit at times but I could mostly dodge since most moves the enemies do are easy to predict and tbh she was doing 90k per normal without vape cuz my forgetful ass forgot she had only 19 em so basically all the buff were just vv set and bennet and she still destroyed it. I'm trying more teams tho like rn I'm on arle, bennet and yunjin and zhongli and she dishes out 100k normals still. Still need to get her talent to 10 and yunjin to 90 and max burst for more dmg. Also tou can use 4 star shielders too, diona and Layla, beidou for overload, c4 yanfei, Thoma they all help. Obviously not as string shields as zhongli but Laylas shield time is 7s and cd is also 7s and since Arlecchino doesn't lose her infusion if you switch her out you can just re apply the shield back. She also has the syringes shield after zhongli but yes you lose dmg but uts still enough damage to kill everything pretty quickly
@@sohambhogale7700 I meant the fact that her best teams don't include a shielder, so you have to know how to dodge and manage your attacks. She is also a selfish character at higher cons, who doesn't really need a team, and that is where the skill part really comes in. It's not like Neuvi, who actually is just hold down left click and close your eyes.
Just for me, i only roll for dps char that can be useful to my acc in a long term. So i always roll for sp first then get dps on their first rerun if that char can still be strong after time not temporary

Both are strong asf and I have both at high investment but people also are forgetting that Arlecchino has much more supports already rn that she can use as she's an atk scaler and does normals attacks (can be buffed by Yelan + elegy) while Neuvillette only has Furina and Kazuha (who can't even use elegy since Neuvillette is an HP scaler) which puts him in a slight disadvantage and even so, he can still compete toe-to-toe to Arlecchino.

@@ammarnk9260 yeah but even in this video itself, he says that Sucrose with TTDS is competitive enough if not even better than Kazuha for buffing Arlecchino which just tells how much ways/options you can have to buff Arlecchino. Neuvillette doesn't have direct buffers for him and again, even Arlecchino can also use Kazuha whilc Neuvillette has less options.

@@ammarnk9260 did you not watch the video? Also I just talked about Sucrose with TTDS being an on-par replacement for Kazuha for Arlecchino. I was pointing out that Arlecchino has access to a lot of versions and array of supports while Neuvillette really only has Kazuha and Furina that are f2p accessible units.
Just bring double anemo (kazuha/venti, kazuha c6 faruzan on elegy) , then the 3rd slot is flex depending on wut reaction u want to do and what enemy type u are facing. U can bring any healer or def unit/ buffer thats cryo, hydro, electro or pyro

When I see arlecchino I'm sad for wanderer. He is strong but needs so much investment into his team, weapon and artifacts when arlecchino c0 is strong out of the box.
At least they learned the lesson and stopped releasing resource expensive dps but it's sad that wanderer is only godlike after like a year of farming to remove his shackles

I got her and her weapon despite being a "complex" character to play. Alhaitham was the same in the beginning but became 2nd nature in the end.
I saw Clorinde and her playstyle and made me reconsider Arlecchino for early count.

I'm shocked to see her doing 100k like it was a normal day for her when the traveler barely does 1k... Playing with her feels like using a boss to fight enemies. She is THAT good.

I am SO grateful that Arle is ridiculously strong because she dies so easily, lol. I have her signature (for the drip) but I'm pretty sure I could clear Abyss even using something like White Tassel.
I plan to get Xianyun on a rerun and try to run her in a Plunge/Vape team. The thing about Arlecchino is, at C0, there's nothing in her kit that necessarily incentivizes her to use her NAs exclusively aside from her Bond of Life buff, and that buff gets smaller the more NAs you use (nothing else causes it to go down). Her Signature's damage buffs are all universal, her artifact set's damage buff is universal, so she's still receiving the full effects of most of her buffs by using plunge attacks. My plan is to alternate plunges and NAs, the latter to ensure that her BoL level is constantly changing so she can keep the buff on her artifact set active. I'm not sure if this will be her best comp necessarily, I just think it would be fun.
Plugging during bol gives her the spikes the same way it does xiao and if you are near a rock/boulder you'll see blood splatter. It's interesting!

i was wondering if a team composed of arlechino (with atk% sand) ganyu (for her ult only for cryo application) layla for shielding and cryo applicator) and kaxuha would work? I think arlechino like may pyro units are missing out because of the lack of existence of a cryo xingqiu.
I dont mind if future dps outdamages Neuvi tbh. His tankiness is such a QOL

It is a difficult choice i decided to no pull Neuvillette because i just find the gameplay to repetitive (i play a lot with him on my girlfriend account) and it is fear with Arlechino, but with Clorinde, i fear that she will be a glorified electro dps which i have all the previous one already!

Pretty much , although she is still strong even with Zhongli , but just not as impressive as when having kazuha or sucrose
Her damage is a bit stronger than his, but Neuvillette’s much more consistent and his range of attack is much bigger
Plus he can ignore enemy shields which is huge

I've skipped kazuha all those past 3 years and the recent banner was the time I finally pulled him. But neuvi's AoE was just so good that I never needed a crowd control unit at all in abyss (holy spin tech)
A character that makes me feel like I don't need kazuha AT ALL, thats the real best dps

Rotation for Kazuha C2: Arlecchino E > Yelan Q E > Kazuha Q > Bennet E Q > Kazuha tE > Arlecchino CA.
This is what I use and it works consistently, but hopefully TGS will answer. He might have a more optimised rotation.

Big thing tho. Neuvilette DPR is way higher while Arleccino DPR is actually pretty low. If we get an abyss with a lot of waves, she will feel a lot worse than him.

This. She's probably the most strongest now in terms of damage, but damage alone doesnt make her the "BEST" dps. Her "best team" with Kazuha, Bennet and Yelan is kinda not comfortable to play, at least for me. I'm also not sure about the claims that she's a speedrun unit, those speedrun showcases likely have a tons of retries which defeats the purpose of speedrun. Having a comfortable team with 1 try is better if you want to do abyss as fast as possible.
@@archeb If you're gonna speedrun, Lyney is better. He has higher damage than anyone else if he does get his rotation off (which may take a lot of reties).
I skipped Kazuha AGAIN because I only had enough to guarantee her c0r1, but I ended up getting c2r1. I'm very happy and I definitely stand by playing it safe, but now I gotta wait months for his next banner to team him with Arlecchino 😭 hopefully they put him on Chronicled Wish before then
I do love her but unfortunately, I can't actually play her in her strongest teams so I will never reach that high ceiling. I don't have a great reaction time so timing things right and setting things up properly and also not dying in the process is... Impossible for me. Teams like hyperbloom or my Scara team (with a shielder) are just a lot more consistent for me.
But even so, Arlecchino is definitely a lot of fun for me and that's the most important part!
Neuvilette is still the best dps because he has HP, auto heals himself and his laser is just the most broken thing in the game, although the laser gameplay can get boring after a while
But arlecchino is close 2nd for sure, no denying that. Spamming normal attacks is easy and she doesn't care if she gets interrupted and can swap anytime it is needed. The fact that she is squishier is the only reason why she is a little bit behind neuvilette otherwise it's equal

Honestly if a new abyss comes out with Hydro Tulpa, Lectors, Abyss Mages, and Hydro Concecrated Beasts, Arlecchino is the better option here.

Haitham is 2nd best, the one real dps that actually doesn't care about interruption, for all you really need to worry about is getting the mirrors out.

Arle being able to swap out anytime admittedly is pretty good though for emergency grouping.

Dps comparison is pure dps power, and if we are comparing dps, arlecchino is DEFINITELY on neuvi lvl, around a bit worse in some PURE aoe situation AND better in ST. But if u compare pull value or overall value of character, then neuvi is honestly better for the average player becuase of his tanky hp and self heals. Arle is squishy af
But if your skilled enough, arle def has a HIGHER ceiling than neuvilette, like really. Arle has been competitive even in aoe situation against neuvilette without her bis arti set OR weapons, which is impressive. She can definitely outdmg neuvilette with bis artifact set overtime in some scenarios
No lol. She has damage loss over time and requires certain teammates. 1 or 2 instances of more damage does not make her better then Neuvillette. He has a better kit in general. Neuvillette has a few good ftp weapon options, and is op at C0 and C1. Where she really needs more cons…Arlecchino may be second, though my Alhaitham is very good too. So far I like her a lot… but better than Neuvillette, not on a number of things. So no, she is second best.

Everyone talking about her damage potential, and here I am fighting the urge to pull because I just like her as a character within the story after confirming that yep, I still like/love her after story quest and want her with Neuvi (and eventually Clorinde and Navia) so I can have a team of hyper-competent characters reminding me to stop playing and go do work. LOL
Joking aside, if I felt I had the skill to actually use her... maybe - eventually. But my priorities at the moment are Baizhu and Furina. She is not the best nor comfortable to play, not being able to heal without her ult will mess up a lot of rotations and might result in her dying too.
Hu Tao still good if not great and her with Xianyun and Furina just makes aoe a joke as her aoe plunge can hit harder then father's 1st auto.
If you like her then pull, but remember that Natlan is coming and so is Pyro Archon.
Arle is just being hyped for now, Pyro Archon however will be another story.
Pyro archon is 5 Patch Away , thats more than enough time to save for Murata ,and even so , archon are usually off field dps or a support ( only exception is Raiden ) , might as well pull arle if you already have the support
Just use thoma with arlecchino. If you are dying as arlecchino because you aren't using E > Q >E then it's a you issue. I've only died a few times from messing up myself and not paying attention to what's going on.
Genshin community truly isn't able to voice complaints about the kit or suggest improvements. In spite of developers who have demonstrated zero concern for their player base are nonetheless fiercely protected.
You guys just blame others for not being able to play a character that even dies while doing her ult because there are not enough iFrames, instead of acknowledging that they made her handicap by preventing her from using any other kind of healing but her ult.
Her Passive that could've been "her bond of life will not be reduced even if she is healed" which would've been a better passive than "not being able to heal by anything but her ult".
If HSR devs were these afraid of Power Creeping Seele/Kafka or something then we would have never seen Acheron released in game.

Personally I think she’s the 2nd best dps in the game after Neuvilette and I find her more fun so I pushed to C2R1 and have no regrets. Insane character. Better than Neuvilette? Absolutely not. He just has too many things going for him all at once.

I also don't see enough people talking about the range of her skill. You push her skill and every enemy in a tri-state area gets tagged with Pyro and blood debt.

I am loving Arle so much; you know who I also love? Zhongli! The most comfortable (and braindead) team with her, at least for me, is Zhongli, Kazuha, Arle and Benny boi.

Its like playing hutao but without zhongli. Most people dont do that but now hoyo forced them they have to. It will be interesting seeing people restart a lot and then change team because they realized they cant do it.
Just to mention on another note those CN speedrunners are using Gladiators and not the new set, and plus they don’t have her talents crowned due to the weekly lockout. You will see her get A LOT stronger and potentially more gamebreaking than Neuvillette.
Compared to Neuvillette, another benefit Arlecchino gets is that she can be strong against Hydro-immune enemies like the Hydro Tulpa and chambers with Hydro Abyss Mages or Hydro Lectors. Having a character as strong as Neuv but with a different element is a GREAT thing.
