    Day 66 on the carnivore diet.
    I started with ribeyes, eggs, ghee, and beef tallow, but since day 43 it has been only beef, salt and water for SIBO, histamine intolerance, leaky gut, and celiac. Main symptoms were bloating (I didn't realize how bad until I started carnivore and now experience NONE) and rashes everywhere.
    I only eat at around noon and at about 6 pm, and total food for the day is around a kilo, or 2.2 lbs of beef. I don't snack and it is not a struggle at all, I really only start to feel hungry when lunch and dinner time are near.
    My rashes got much worse for the first 6-8 weeks, which is why I went strict beef, water, salt, to eliminate the possibility that eggs, ghee, or tallow was part of the problem still in my diet. Since I knew about oxalate dumping and the detox process I stayed the course. As of right now I hardly have any fresh rashes and what is left is drying up and healing. 11 years living with this problem after strep throat and 2 rounds of antibiotics.
    I have tried long term the Paleo diet, vegetarian, keto(but while vegetarian), and a diet that was personalized by a nutritionist, and I have never felt this good at any point in my life physically and mentally. Fitness and diet have been important for me since before the problems started, but the diet part I was getting wrong even though it was considered healthy.
    At about the 6 week mark I noticed that I felt stronger and more in control during my workouts than ever before. That hasn't stopped yet. I'm able to add extra weight to every workout, and I'm barely sore the day after. I can't believe the gains I'm making on this diet. I only take 4000 IU of vitamin D, and a few drops of iodine for supplements daily. When I started I weighed 165lbs (I'm 6 feet tall and 39 years old). Weight loss was not on the agenda, but I weighed myself today and I am 154lbs. 11lbs in 2 months. I can't even hide my abs if I tried, they just stick out all the time😂
    Before I began carnivore, I started a treatment that a team of specialists made for me based on all the bloodwork and tests and was taking over a dozen supplements during each phase of treatment. The funny thing is, literally the first thing I was told was that I was eating TOO MUCH red meat! Now that is the only thing I eat! I don't even know how much I blew on supplements, but it was significant because I live in Latin America now and they aren't cheap to get here. What a waste of 2 years following the treatment. Now my "supplement" is eating organ meats a couple of times a week (make sure to get chicken liver mixed in, it is very high in Vit C!).
    I plan on continuing the lions diet until my skin is completely healed. Then I will look at slowly adding more carnivore foods one at a time to the diet to make sure I tolerate them before permanently adding it. I might end up ketovore in the end because I'd love to add things like avocado, coconut and coconut water to my diet. Whatever I do, it will be a diet that keeps me in ketosis, because damn, I can't believe how good I feel on no carbs!
    I share my story only in hopes that it will give someone else who struggles with mysterious health problems the courage to give this diet an honest try. I'm convinced that anyone who does the diet for 6-8 weeks will realize that WE ARE CARNIVORES, or at the very least, ketovores, when times were tough and meat was hard to come by.
    Good luck to everyone on their journey to optimal health!

    This video gave me the courage to throw out all remaining veggies in my fridge. I’ve been carnivore (beef, poultry, tallow & salt) for just a week, but in about 4 days all Edema is gone from my left foot. It’s so wonderful to walk without pain, & see all the swelling gone.
    We’ve been so brainwashed & manipulated by corporate & pharmaceutical industries, that own everything & keep hammering us with advertising that reinforces our incorrect beliefs and our addictions to starch and sugar.
    Oh and I also gave up coffee and decaf. First day without coffee I felt very depressed, but slept better and felt better the next day. And RUclipsr Steak and Butter Gal taught me a trick that works great when I get a sugar craving: eat unsalted butter! I started with one room temperature pat & ate 2 more until the craving subsided. Cold butter works too. Also I cook a bunch of bacon ( my only processed food) & I leave in a covered glass dish in fridge & for a “treat” I’ll wrap some bacon around my butter & eat that! So good 😊

    What are normal cholesterol ranges on carnivore and low carb diets?

    • @CoachStephen
      @CoachStephen  Год назад

      Vince, that's a good question, although it's more about ratios then discrete data. Essentially you want low trigs and high HDL. The trigs to be lower than HDL appears to be a reasonable indicator of lowering the incidence of all cause mortality. This is something I can over if you book coaching as the numbers are very individual.

I was led to believe that is absolutely necessary for the health of our microbiota which make up the majority of our cells. Joel Greene calls it a necessary nutrient. Carnivore stool tests seem to show less diversity. So is this ok since carnivores have the microbiota that they need or is is of concern since lower levels are linked to disease?

    Carnivore 6 months but triglycerides are 340. What to do?

    • @CoachStephen
      @CoachStephen  10 месяцев назад

      @cookingbydarlajames8489, Hi, thanks for the question. What were they before carnivore? Do you have a full set of labs? Any symptoms. In short, from the information I can't diagnose or advice. I can give you the mainstream view.
      A triglyceride level of 340 mg/dL is considered high and outside the optimal range. The normal range for triglycerides is generally less than 150 mg/dL. Elevated triglyceride levels can be caused by a variety of factors, including:
      1. Diet: Consuming a diet high in refined carbohydrates, sugar, and unhealthy fats can contribute to elevated triglyceride levels. Excessive intake of sugary beverages, processed foods, and fried foods (in seed oils) can be particularly problematic.
      2. Obesity or overweight: Being overweight or obese is often associated with elevated triglyceride levels.
      3. Sedentary lifestyle: Lack of physical activity and leading a sedentary lifestyle can contribute to high triglyceride levels.
      4. Diabetes and insulin resistance: People with diabetes or insulin resistance (a condition where the body becomes less responsive to insulin) often have elevated triglyceride levels.
      5. Certain medical conditions: Some medical conditions, such as kidney disease, liver disease, and hypothyroidism, can cause elevated triglyceride levels.
      6. Genetics: In some cases, high triglyceride levels can be attributed to genetic factors.
      7. Medications and alcohol use: Certain medications like beta-blockers, diuretics, and corticosteroids can increase triglyceride levels. Excessive alcohol consumption can also contribute to elevated triglycerides.
      It's important to consult with a healthcare professional who can evaluate your triglyceride level in the context of your overall health, medical history, and other risk factors. They can provide personalized guidance on lifestyle modifications, dietary changes, and potentially prescribe medication if necessary to help manage your triglyceride levels and reduce your risk of related health issues.

    If what Dr. Chaffee says is true about plant carcinogens, toxins, etc., how is it that people have cured cancer following raw vegan diets? Furthermore, how is it that other animals (the ones we eat, like cows) eat only plants (as herbivores) and the plants don't seem to hurt them in any way? Finally, if human beings are carnivores (if that is our species specific diet) where are our fangs, claws, etc?

    • @CoachStephen
      @CoachStephen  6 месяцев назад

      We do have canines(teeth) by we used our brains to catch animals, throwing spears etc. So we do have sharp teeth and we didn't need them. I don't see any cave paintings of humans jumping on animals and biting them to death. The fangs argument is simply ridiculous. There are Carnivore fish and even caterpillars. It's not worth trolling out that ludicrous question.

    • @oliverhawthorne3434

      @@CoachStephen Hmmm, re: fangs, you may have a point ... as there are even carnivore plants like the venus fly-trap, though they are clearly equipped with mechanisms to catch their prey as part of their physiology.

    DIABETES is a huge Impact Market… I do hope the Confrence goes well and many people benefit.
    Everyone should be aware that Diabetes is slated as a market for Social Impact Bond investors with huge potential $$. In this paradigm, it is not seen as something that can be reversed with diet, but a chronic ‘for life’ illness on the rise.
    I am cynical that these type of investments have the best outcome for people with diabetes at their core. The defining metrics will be set for max ongoing profit.
    This type of investment opens us up to being constantly monitored by wearable tech and even our (SMART) environments to provide data to drive this new type of economy that is fast emerging. Constantly ‘nudged’ and scored. BEWARE.
