the grill looks better on the gls model, not a fan of the body colored grill on the gsr unless its in black. the side profile of the 2024 triton looks amazing , much better than the older model
Looks a heap better than the older model mate. Awesome that blokes been selling Mitzi’s since 1983. Really good review on the triton Steve, might help a few people make a decision 👍
Thanks for the comment I thought the same… always different in person 👍 And yes how good is the interior… it was my favourite part Thanks again for having a look 👍
Great review mate , i never really pay much attention to a standard front end and grill because you can make it look so different with a bullbar. The big question is though, does anything frighten this triton 😎
I love Mitsubishi vehicles, good honest warranties I had the ad blue system in a Mitsubishi 10 t truck it was the best emissions system, no recycling exhaust gases back through the motor that was a uro 5 system the add blue could be a good game changer for Mitsubishi as other manufacturers seem to be struggling with emissions, I have a 2020 triton and the latest Hybrid eclipse cross Very happy with mitsubishi servicing customer care. My first new mitsubishi triton 4x4 ute was in 1996 had it for 12 years trouble free , service your mitsubishi on time buy mitsubishi and you shouldn't go wrong , people quit often treat there vehicles or machinery like crap and then blame the manufacturer for breaking down, does not matter what brand it is
i prefer how the gls looks compared to the gsr, i rather a black grill, i also like this blue color , not a fan of orange. the front of the older triton looks more suv like and the new triton looks more rugged and truck like, the side of the new triton looks much better and the interior is a huge improvement. i would purchase a triton over a hilux any day, while toyota has the accolades for offroad , the triton can match it on any course. on slippery wet tarmac roads the triton will have the best grip. since you can drive in 4h full time it has the Super Select 4WD II system , this allows you to drive in full time 4wd on tarmac which cant be done in the hilux, You can switch to 4h on the hilux but its only meant for dirt gravel roads at low speeds. the isuzu d max cannot match the triton either. i have seen d max wrecked by losing control on wet roads. the hilux also failed the moose test meaning it cant take corners quickly , it flips very easily . these are factors to consider when buying a ute if you are coming from driving a front wheel drive car. the best ute to get is a triton because the level of grip on the road will be similar. ill also point out only the v6 ranger can drive in Awd like the triton not the bi turbo model. i wont buy ford because they break down alot and are unreliable. car expert v6 ranger needed a diff replacement after only a few months. and that is just the beginning of the horror stories with ford. some engines in the ranger raptor needed replacing.
@@unproadventures4142 I bought my MQ GLS for $35K drive away in mid 2016. Drive away for new GLS now from $63670 ( dealership price ), an 82% increase in less than 8 years, a bit rude IMHO!
Personally I'm not a fan of the big grill and headlight styling but all newer 4wds seem to be going the same way. Also not a fan of some of the sharp lines on them where they could have used a nice smooth roll. Good to hear they have improved on previous models though and having things inside that are easy to see and control is a good thing, you hear heaps on new 4wds how you need to change heaps to engage 4wd, turn off traction control etc etc. I have heard a lot of people say they dropped the ball after about the MK Triton so hopefully this brings it back into play.
With the competition toughening up their front end Mitsubishi still sticking with a dynamic shield which doesn't really appeal to the commercial ute segment much; maybe the SUV's. It's been said before, many like the front end of the Ranger, Hilux and Dmax with their bulky look which I thought Mitsubishi might have leaned towards but, once again , they're sticking to their guns and looking after those who are already fans of the Mitsubishi's and not new buyers so much. I've got the previous model and it's okay, and this MV looks so much better in every way, especially with its interior. Good engine refinement getting rid of all that lag that was terrible when towing and even trying to get through roundabouts without getting killed by trucks. Let's see how it goes up against the competition in the real world. So far it's looking pretty promising looking at other reviews.
@@unproadventures4142 It was a good review and showing the offer road prowess was interesting I think with the extra wheelbase delete the jittery ride that was inherent in previous models, no more l j design 😁
Sorry I think you are mistaking me for a professional channel The car only got off the truck a few days before so there’s no towbar fitted & I don’t have access to a 2.7t van either sorry 👍
Have people forgotten about the 12k+ extra price tag?. I bought my gls in 2020 for 48k now there asking 60k?. I understand it has improvements but i just dont see the justification for another 12k sorry. There is still alot from the mr triton in the current gen. Mitsubishi better be careful they dont out price themselves out of the market
Thanks for the comment Totally agree with the price hikes as it seems to be getting out of the more budget range Thanks for having a look at the video 👍
Everything has gone up since 202O even milk has doubled in price. The new triton is great value if you compare it to new competition, like it was great value when you bought yours. If you think it’s expensive now,, you’ll be blown away in 2025 when the new tax comes into play. I get it thou, when I was a kid my parents paid 60k for a house…
I own a Hilux but happily own the new wider longer Triton - is the engine a NissanNavara cousin now which could be a Renault? I’m asking because the new Mitsubishi Outlander is a rebadged Nissan XTrail which has been plagued with class action suits across the globe because it’s basically a Renault which like all French car makers has poor reliability.
Nissan/mitsubishi do have a partnership But this is solely a Mitsubishi it has the 4N16 engine which is continued on from the previous 4N15 Thanks for the comment & I hope the reply helps Cheers 🤣
@@unproadventures4142 thanks URA that’s good to know as the Mitsubishi engine has been reliable despite the turbo lag which is addressed now - I’ve previously owned many Subarus with their impressive AWD system so well aware of Mitsubishi’s excellent ‘on the go’ Super Select system and improved chassis - it will be interesting to see if the new 2025 Navara has the same engine (because they will share common DNA) or keeps the Renault engine.
Nice one mate, best looking triton ever. Cheers Steve
Cheers muddy
As always thanks for the continued support mate we appreciate it 👍
Great video! Love the look of the grille. Interior looks awesome like you said. Big improvement!
Absolutely I think the interior is a strong point
Thanks for the comment and having a look at the video

Great video as always - big improvements from the previous model which was needed - cheers

Glad you enjoyed it 👍
At first I wasn't sure about the looks. But in person it looks great. The interior is a huge improvement and in leather is super comfy

Yeah very true
I can’t wait to see one with a bar on the front
Well I did my best to frighten it 😅

Great video like always. I like the new look it’s got a nicer front
Cheers for that & glad you enjoyed

I can’t argue with that
As they are good rigs and the best warranty
Cheers for watching and leaving a comment 👍
Nice mate be interesting to see them with some mods
Cheers mate 👍
Mitsubishi is the greatest number One king tittle in offroad rally championship faster and heavy duty for long distance endurance😅🎉🎉❤😂
There’s no denying that
Cheers for watching 👍
The front end I am not sold on. I like some features but not a fan of the square lines. Great video 👍🍻
Cheers Dave
I knew a mitso tragic like you would tune in
I’m not fully sold but I reckon with some bar work etc they will look tough
@unproadventures4142 hahaha, shhhh, I would never ever buy a diesel mitsubishi.
