do you know if your parts car came with the original 16" rims or the 15". other question is that did the all the brackets, brake lines from the b6 a4 fit onto the c5 a6 calipers?
The B6 a4 1.8t that I had came with 16" rims originally. The C5 a6 has 3 different types of brakes 1997-2001 2.8 V6 came with 288mm vented front and 245mm solid rear 2002-2004 3.0 V6 came with 312mm vented front and 255mm solid rear 1997-2004 2.7 TT V6 and the 4.2 V8 came with 321mm ( 2 piston caliper )vented front and 255mm solid rear 1997-2004 4.2 V8 Sline came with 321mm ( 2 piston caliper )vented front and 269mm vented rear. It would be hard to fit 312mm from the 3.0 v6 came with 16" rims ( it will not fit 15" rims because the rotor are too big. ) For the brake line not sure if it is the same or not ( the length of the line might be different do to the different suspension set up ) Caliper brackets from b6-b7 will fit on to c5 ( If you really want to upgrade your brakes get the B7 a4 caliper's and rotor 321 mm vented front and 288mm solid rear ) If you have any other questions let me know. Thanks for commenting.
It all depends on where you got your mounts. The parts car that I have is a 2002 c5 a6 3.0 that came with 312mm in the front and 255mm in the rear. If you wanted 320mm in the front I would recommend looking at a c5 a6 2.7T because it comes with 321mm in the front. At the same time it would be worth it if you changed the caliper with it because the 2.7t came with the 2 piston caliper. But it if you dont want to spend too much that I would stick with 312mm. The caliper bracket wont fit 320 mm. Thanks for commenting. Let me know how it goes.
What about the abs sensors? Do they need to be switched as well?
If I want to upgrade my b6 to 320/288 and use a4 b7 3.0tdi/a6 c5 2.7tt brakes will they be just plug and play?
Yes
Just get the caliper mounting brackets from the B7 or the C5

My A4 B5 1.6 (1999 year) have 280/245mm. Can i use a6 c5 312/255 plug&play or do i need any modding?
Can you upgrade the front to 320 instead of 312 mm ?
