Steel standoffs for the glass, and movable mount trays. Basically a revision of the case might be worth 170, but as is maybe 150usd. The quality and durability on the c70 is legendary and id like to see this case carry the legend forward but falls short plastic standoffs holding glass sheesh no bueno.
So I've been using this case for 6 years with multiple builds and it's still going strong today. I disabled and removed the RGB hub, using a front 360 AIO and the cooling is alright as well with a 5950x currently. The tempered glass is such a great tint that even if you leave some cables around, it's not showing. I've been shopping for a case for a long time but can't find anything that looks this good. Absolute beast of a build quality as well. Not a single tiny amount of damage on any glass panels, and I haven't been too nice to them either.
Yeah same here, just about to go through a refresh and change CPU cooler and fans as mine is dying, but the case has been superb and I expect to be using it for several more years!
I really like this case. The cable channel was much more difficult to deal with than talked about here but the end result was pretty sweet. The case looks just amazing once it's completed. It was well worth the price tag in my opinion.
just bought this case....looks amazing a good investment in my opinion. I'm glad they listened and put a cable management grommet at the bottom of the MOBO through the power supply. Very happy for my first PC build.
i have this case and the power supply shroud is fully covered and it has cable holes at the bottom for those small cables. i think they upgraded it a lot.
if you have a spare Corsair 400C laying around, could you check if the tempered glass panel fits on it? I'd like to ghetto mod it to replace the ugly acrylic
No it doesn't, first of all the tempered glass version of the 400c is the 460x, not the 570X. And secondly, there are some structural differences between the cases besides the panels. The OC3D review of the 460x explains it well.
I ordered my 570X the other day to replace my massive EVGA DG-86. Wanted a smaller and lighter case and one that shows off my RGB more. My friend has the 460x but I didnt want to get that one as it does not support 140mm fans or my 280mm radiator. (H110i) I am definitely looking forward to moving my build into this case however, I will be doing a couple things to it. 1. Cutting parts of the PSU Shroud to better manage the wires that go to the audio and USB2 headers. 2. Removing an ssd cage to add my Commander Pro 3. removing the integrated LED Controller. 4. Custom making a plastic cover to cover the open space on the side of the PSU Shroud.
cause this case isnt just for anyone. i dont understand why u need to be weird about it. i think this just add another choice for some people. if they think they need it, they buy it. if they are like u, then they wont buy it. its a choice.
Paul, first of all, thank you for the video. My first thought was that it looks very nice, but after you finished the build I had so much to complain about, that I don't think I would ever buy this case. If a company decides to make a case with clear view on the back they must make all necessary moves to compliment their choice. For example, It should have a removable back panel for the psu shroud so that the extra cables of the psu will stay hidden from the back view. I would also like another removable panel in front of the back of the motherboard, probably with ssd mounting points, that could also allow extra cables to be hidden underneath as they pass through. I would have never removed the reset button, although the missing hdd led is somewhat ok. I totally agree with you that the psu shroud should have openings for the cables connecting to the bottom of the motherboard. Finally, there should be a better way to route the cpu power cable.
On a serious note, if I built in this case I'd take out all the HD mounts I didn't use, lay down a very thin sheet of card with a vinyl wrap over the metal parts that have those holes so it looked like solid material as opposed to pieces of metal slotting into other pieces of metal.
Steven J I love both these cases they both look amazing and they do have the same radiator support which was I want more off but came to anything about it but I don't know which one to get
I have my wires taken care of, so i dont mind it, personally i love it because i have the phanteks leds in my case, and it reflects off my wall perfectly
At around 1:50 I finally realized what I want from a PC case. I want a case with good airflow, but the majority of the ones that are tend to look like crap. Beyond that, I'm not a fan of tempered glass or acrylic. What I want...is a case made of filters as panels, or at least filter front panel and metal side panels with a filtered cutout over the PCIe slots. They're translucent, but don't attract scratches or fingerprints. They provide airflow, but don't look like some rookie designer got happy with the pattern feature tool in their CAD program. And (obviously), they keep dust out of the system. With a decent looking design for the support structure, much like this case, they could look quite nice as well. The Fractal Design Meshify comes close, but I'm not a fan of the mountain range design.
You can get all your components, measure the exact distances between everything and make or buy custom cables of that exact length. Bammo wammo no extra cables. Also, go through and cover all the gaps between the sheets of metal with card and maybe vinyl wrap as well to make it all look like solid metal and there you go.
I love this temper glass hype. I literally bought a $30 case because I hated all cases 2 years ago. Now everything is getting a modern sexy look. I'm just waiting to see which one to get, as everyone is making them.
I just saw this case on new egg this week. I am so happy so see a review of it! Your timing is impeccable

That cable routing at the bottom of the motherboard is a deal breaker for me. Its just so stupid, I can't believe it, somebody there at Corsair was sleeping on Mondays.
If you use a mATX board, you can probably drill a hole behind the mobo to pass wires through. If you use an ATX like the video, there is no space between the mobo and the shroud. And I want to see pictures of the people stating how easy it would be to drill a hole in a painted piece of metal and then touch it up to look like it was OEM. Just stop. That oversight and the fact that the top rad mount does not support their own 280 is a dealbreaker. Like you know there is a motherboard going to be there. Why not move the mount holes over a tiny bit? Yeah yeah it wont be perfectly symmetrical but at least it would work. If it HAS to be symmetrical, make the case a tiny bit wider until it does fit your own cooling systems. Off my list of options.
@@jzero4813 Hello. A bit late to the party, so I have no Idea if I'm going to get a reply, but - this was also a MAJOR dealbreaker for me, because I think the case for the price is amazing.. question is, HOW do I know if I'm getting the updated case with the "fixed" power supply shroud passthrough or the old one? Does anyone have any info on this?
@@galmubi5406 The updates were made within weeks of release, and that was three years ago now. Anything on sale now must all be updated cases, surely. You can always call the store and ask...
Those were common complaints I suppose since I bought this case and they added a front panel to the shroud and a cutout, not sure about the radiator though.
You know Corsair had actually listened to sense. I bought this case a week ago. Happy to say there's a slot now on the power supply shroud to bring in more cables in from the bottom. They've also realized the mistake of leaving the shroud open and are selling a special cover on their website.
Tharindu87 They are?Oh wait,I have a the dark base Pro 900,and always get excited when problems on other cases and hardware get fixed for some reason :/
Nice video Paul, I have this case and the comments I got from my son was "poor cable management dad" I got this case when they first came out and wish I had seen your video because you had some great tips on how to set it up especially since the case is pretty much transparent on all sides it needed to have your tips to make it a clean build. I had to replace the motherboard and my son is coming over to help me redo my build and hopefully do a better job of cable management but with your tips and my son I am pretty sure it will come out nice. Thanks for you and your video I am sure it will come out nice.
I just did a build in these case. Pros: @t is the most bueatiful case I have seen. (Personal opinion, yours may be different). 2.Perfect quality, no complain at all. 3.Perfect balance between airflow and dustproof thanks to the high air flow design and high qaulity dust fliter. You don't need to run fans like crazy to keep things cool while keep things clean. Most cases on market have stupit front panels which chock the airflow and make front fans useless, but if you remove them, you will have dust build up problem. 4.Good water cooling support, you have the space to mount a high reservior at the front. 5.Many spare parts can be find on the corsair websit with low prices, don't need to worry if you accidentally break something. Few complains: @t is very difficult to move around, you can't find a place to lift the case, and it is way too heavy when all the glass panels are installed. (It's the price of being so beautiful right?) 2.There is not enough top clearence , many people complain about that. If you want a top radiator, go get the thinnest you can (XSPC TX radiator is recommended, ultra thin with good performance). A 27mm thick H100i radiator will just be able to fit, anything thicker than that will run into your memory sticks. If the case can be just 10mm higher, it would be perfect. 280mm radiator on top is just not an option because it will hit the mother board for certain. @t doesn't suppoet 360mm radiator on top despite it has the length to. Actaully you can mount the front fan tray at the top (they have the same mounting holes) and it will be able to have a 360mm radiator at the top. I don't know what they are thinking, they can simply give us two same fan trays and it will support 360mm radiator both at the front and the top. Why they design a different fan tray that only suppurt 240mm radiator and put it on the top? I don't get it. I'm a fan of top radiator because it has overall better case air flow than front radiator, and you can have a bigger reservoir at front without geting too crowded. Overall it is a very good case. It's kind of expensive but you will get what you pay for.
Fantastic review. Told me everything I wanted to know since giving it a serious look for a new build. Think a 1080ti waterblock build would look incredible in this case. Shame about needing an extra fan controller and the HD audio, USB connectors etc on the bottom
It's a nice case, but has the following weaknesses: 1. Motherboard VRMs prevent mounting both fans on the CPU Radiator(I've seen this problem with all RUclips video reviews of this case so far). 2. HD Mounting is such that you'll see the circuit board of your hard drive and not the top(to show off type of storage etc, kinda ugly seeing some green backside of a circuit board) 3. No reset button on top 4. No Type-C USB 3.1 pass-through for top controls 5. Can't change LED color/behavior of Corsair logos 6. Hard to hide PSU cables behind the PSU Shield(as you said) 7. No easy way to hide the cables plugged in to bottom of motherboard(near PSU, as you said) 8. No way to manage an internal optical drive (if you want one for various reasons). If there were a different version of the case that address the above in some way, they could charge another $100 for the case and I'd likely buy it.
Yeah I just was doing my build and with my Asus 390e strix and the VRM is in the frigging way!!! I will see how my teps are with one fan... I am running an 8700k with no overclock.
I was waiting until April 15th for the In Win 301 because I ONLY wanted a smaller case. When I picked my monitor up, I seen this case in person. It's so clean these videos do no justice. It will be mine! I don't even care about wanting having a small case anymore.
Andrew G cases don’t support them as well. You can fit 3 120mm fans on the front for perfect symmetry, but if you put in 2 140s it looks ugly with that huge gap
That's a beautiful build and the case is gorgeous. The price seems right as well. One question: have you tried the Corsair control software to configure the lighting, including the standby lights? Can they be configured to not flash? Also, did the case include more SSD trays, or are there only two? Thanks!
Well,.. Winter temperatures have hit the New England Area this week. And I think it's time to start shopping for some winter clothing. Oh look. Paul and Kyle have a nice store in here. Hoodies and beanies. Perfect gifts for anyone.
Only last Fri I just bought a wheelbarrow load of components for my very first gaming build and this exact case was one of them and I just love it, it really looks awesome but I so wish Paul slowed that vid down when he was building lol
I was so fixated on the your comments regarding the RGB that your dogs scared the shit out of me when they started barking! I never even saw them there hahaha.....
When you show the PC with the Glass on it will be nice to see it all around even the back where are the SSD instead showing just the front only. With this guy it's Christmas every day LOL
I have this case coming in for my first ever pc build. I am truly excited I get to show my system off like this. I will have an all Corsair setup once all is complete. Your review made me feel so much better about getting it. Why the glass on the side with all the wires and storage I'll never know but hey at least I get to see everything inside my system.
Thank you, this was very helpful. The Mrs. wanted this case and it just came in today and I was concerned about the radiator and all the glass for the cable management.
This exact build is the inspiration for mine. Mine is more of a budget conscious build but very similar looking with a MSI motherboard, Graphics card, Corsair AIO cooler and RAM. So thank you. Subbed indeed.
I have this coming in for my first build. Going to have an all Corsair setup w keyboard, mouse and mousepad. Looks easy enough for cable management and my build. I can't wait til tomorrow!
So. I bought this case. I built my system. I performed cable management like none other, sleeved cables with aluminum combs. Asus 99x. 2 780 EVGA Classified's SLI. i7 6800k, 64GB Crucial Memory (yeah I do some audio, video, gaming) 2 1 TB Samsung 850 Pro SSD's. 1000W Corsair RMi Power Supply. Now I am happy. Later Paul, thanks for the review!
That cut while the case was spinning to remove the side panels was legit! Well done

Fantastic review. Told me everything I wanted to know since giving it a serious look for a new build. Think a 1080ti waterblock build would look incredible in this case. Shame about needing an extra fan controller and the HD audio, USB connectors etc on the bottom
Your dogs made me jump! Lol!
That rotating transformation was incredibly good to watch
French Bull dog taking a deep nap :-)))))
It's a nice case, but has the following weaknesses:
1. Motherboard VRMs prevent mounting both fans on the CPU Radiator(I've seen this problem with all RUclips video reviews of this case so far).
2. HD Mounting is such that you'll see the circuit board of your hard drive and not the top(to show off type of storage etc, kinda ugly seeing some green backside of a circuit board)
3. No reset button on top
4. No Type-C USB 3.1 pass-through for top controls
5. Can't change LED color/behavior of Corsair logos
6. Hard to hide PSU cables behind the PSU Shield(as you said)
7. No easy way to hide the cables plugged in to bottom of motherboard(near PSU, as you said)
Adorable dogs
I was waiting until April 15th for the In Win 301 because I ONLY wanted a smaller case. When I picked my monitor up, I seen this case in person. It's so clean these videos do no justice. It will be mine! I don't even care about wanting having a small case anymore.
why is everything moving to 120mm when 140mm moves air and is quieter doing so. None of Corsairs RGB fans come in 140mm. odd.
100%
Andrew G cases don’t support them as well. You can fit 3 120mm fans on the front for perfect symmetry, but if you put in 2 140s it looks ugly with that huge gap
The instant I saw the dogs in the shot I was like "They are gonna freak out at something aren't they?" YUP
This video didn't (and still hasn't) show up in my subscriptions
"Even if you aren't using a Corsair power supply, you've still got a Corsair power supply." 12:30 Love it 😄

That's a beautiful build and the case is gorgeous. The price seems right as well.
One question: have you tried the Corsair control software to configure the lighting, including the standby lights? Can they be configured to not flash? Also, did the case include more SSD trays, or are there only two?
Thanks!
Still waiting on babyoil stream ya'll promised.
these things take time
OMG HE REPLIED OMG OMG OMG SENPAI NOTICED ME!!!
Rudiez ̣ 😂😂😂😂
Great video! One of these days I'll build my own PC and these videos are super helpful not to mention extreme encouraging. Keep up the good work.
ALWAYS..... have dogs in the background
duly noted ;-D
Paul's Hardware ; )
also nobody does that.... and it's awesome
570X is awesome! Good video.
Last time I was this early, Trump hadn't build a wall yet.
Well,.. Winter temperatures have hit the New England Area this week. And I think it's time to start shopping for some winter clothing. Oh look. Paul and Kyle have a nice store in here. Hoodies and beanies. Perfect gifts for anyone.
Paul..! Your out of Beanies... !! I'll delete this comment when they are in stock again.
IO connectors have no routing options, they look ugly
Nice, This will be a good replacement from my old air 540.
FRAGILE... It must be Italian.
? lol?
from christmas story
12:32 - "So even if you're not using a Corsair power supply, you still got a Corsair power supply." Paul, 2016
12:48 - LOL
no routing holes for the pc cables at the bottom of the mobo? no front ssd slots? ill keep my phanteks evolve TG
Daaaamn this case is the best i've ever seen....Nice job Paul
$180 thats a good price for me
Thanks for the great descriptive video. I like the bumpy music during the build.
I'm a thlithery thnake and I like to use a thingle thumbscrew ;)
The dog made me jumped from the chair at the 12:50 !😆😆
Too much glass, too many delicate points. I rather have the single glass side and a mesh front and top for air flow.
First Time viewer. Great video man. Professional and I feel you covered anything a consumer should know. Subbed :D
imo glass cover on top and front are useless
Ellypsis 63 All 4 are "useless", but i's cool af
seeing rgb led fans is awesome !
let's be honest, they didn't build it like that to be useful. it's all about how it looks.
Only last Fri I just bought a wheelbarrow load of components for my very first gaming build and this exact case was one of them and I just love it, it really looks awesome but I so wish Paul slowed that vid down when he was building lol
first!
OctolexGaming confirmed.
It's a nice case. The In-win cases with tempered glass also looks pretty sweet.
I was so fixated on the your comments regarding the RGB that your dogs scared the shit out of me when they started barking! I never even saw them there hahaha.....
The part when your dogs got up and barked scared the crap outa me haha
When you show the PC with the Glass on it will be nice to see it all around even the back where are the SSD instead showing just the front only. With this guy it's Christmas every day LOL
I have this case coming in for my first ever pc build. I am truly excited I get to show my system off like this. I will have an all Corsair setup once all is complete. Your review made me feel so much better about getting it. Why the glass on the side with all the wires and storage I'll never know but hey at least I get to see everything inside my system.
Just did my first PC build in this case! Epic case, but a little tedious. Good review Paul!
Awesome video! Very detailed as well! Thanks Paul!
way to teach us how to do it like a boss... very clean and professional.
Thank you, this was very helpful. The Mrs. wanted this case and it just came in today and I was concerned about the radiator and all the glass for the cable management.
Cable management is flawless💯
This exact build is the inspiration for mine. Mine is more of a budget conscious build but very similar looking with a MSI motherboard, Graphics card, Corsair AIO cooler and RAM. So thank you. Subbed indeed.
I have this coming in for my first build. Going to have an all Corsair setup w keyboard, mouse and mousepad. Looks easy enough for cable management and my build. I can't wait til tomorrow!
Just builted mine and its look fabulous real high end parts. Very pleased
I like a red white and blue color RGB. Patriotic !
Really nice done on 0:48 Have not even realized that the sides have been agreed in the meantime: D
Great video! I was happy to find someone doing a build in this case...thank you!
Hmm I really like this! I have never been a fan of tempered glass but it seems to work well when the entire system is covered in it. Thanks!
This guide was super helpful i suck at cable management especially on this this case and this helps
