Yes, definitely check out Dan’s channel! He does everything from ballads and opera to metal. Some songs are just his own rendition truer to the original and others he transforms. To get an idea I recommend watching his Priscilla’s Song ( voice and lute) and the his Priscilla’s Song metal version- gives you a quick glimpse at how he transforms songs, even though he’s fully capable of singing like everyone else! ❤

Thanks for the reaction. Dan does a lot of outros and Q&A videos that show what a great guy he is. An American Trilogy is a tribute to his father made only 5 days after his father died of cancer. It is very emotional. And follow that with Love Me Tender, fulfilling a request from a fan for her husband who was terminally ill.

So, I just watched Dan Vasc performing "The Music of the Night" from the musical, The Phantom of the Opera - and I tell you, I was frozen. Mesmerized - and I cried. Then I watched him sing "On the Banks of Loch Lomond." I started to realize I mustn't think of this guy as just some metal singer who does music covers. He is clearly a pro and I wondered, _"Where did he train??"_ I went to his site and he did go to music school in Brazil. Of course, I know nothing about schools there, but if he were in the U.S. he would have come out of Juilliard, for sure. Highly trained voice AND he has the acting chops. He's gold. A wonderful discovery and I'm grateful to the folks who recommended him. 💖💖💖

Commented on this reaction 3 months ago, but I rewatch it now and then when I need a jolt of humor. Dan's singing talent and ability to draw us into his performances dramatically is well known. Watching it again today, it reminded me that the apology part was so sincere and believable and, as an American, had me feeling apprehensive first time I saw it. He's such a likeable rascal! Hope Dan never stops singing, but he is also a consummate actor.

Here's an interesting experiment. Pause the video at 5:33 when he leans in close to the camera. Now cover the left side of his face (the side closest to the door). His right 1/2 looks friendly, amiable, smiling. Now cover the other side (closest to the stairs). Suddenly he looks dark, intimidating, almost menacing. Interesting how our faces can reflect such different emotion. BTW, I think both sides of his face are gorgeous.

It was the Brazilians that are national that were offended that he a Brazilian would sing the USA national anthem. Not the Americans.
Here's an interesting experiment. Pause the video at 5:33 when he leans in close to the camera. Now cover the left side of his face (the side closest to the door). His right 1/2 looks friendly, amiable, smiling. Now cover the other side (closest to the stairs). Suddenly he looks dark, intimidating, almost menacing. Interesting how our faces can reflect such different emotion. BTW, I think both sides of his face are gorgeous.
