This show was a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only. He was the first foreigner, the youngest singer, and the only non-professional in the show's history. You have NO IDEA what you have ventured into. And this is the exact moment that he became a superpower instantly overseas. Dimash is our Kazakh Prince. He is beloved by his millions of Dears (his name that he coined for us) and he IS the greatest singer on the planet. This is tame compared to what he has accomplished in the last 8 years. I dont know for sure about Vitas, but after Dimash did this on The Singer competition in 2017, the other contestants said that Vitas only went up 1 octave and Dimash went up 4 times. Watch The Singer all the way to the very end for a lot more insight into the competition and Dimash. I have no knowledge about it, except that the other contestants knew Vitas and knew this song. If you continue your journey into Dimashland you will discover for yourself just how great he is. He does not imitate or copy anything done by someone else, by changing things he makes each song his own. Find his performance of Hello and All By Myself to see how he interpreted them. Somehow the fates gave this boy everything. He has the raw natural talent, he has the extensive training (piano since 3, singing since 5), he has good looks, and on top of all that, he's a very humble and kind person. I HOPE that the fates also gave him good health. At this Chinese tv show where Dimash performed SOS (the video you watched), he also did a cover of Vitas' song Opera 2. That's a good second Dimash song to react to. Vitas has talent, but Dimash blows him out of the water. Later Dimash songs to react to include Sinful Passion (Grashnaya Strast), Unforgettable Day (Gakku), Ogni Pietra (Olimpico), Stranger, The Story of One Sky, Durdaraz, and pretty much anything he's put out there. You may later ask if he speaks many languages. He sings in about 13-15 languages (he learns them phonetically) but is fluent in Kazakh and Russian (he is from Kazakhstan which was a former Soviet state), is getting pretty good in English, and is learning Mandarin. I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Yes, please continue on his singer 2017 episodes because you will see his progress with English but also just how humble and respectful he just is. Too be honest, not my favorite version of this performance except for nostalgia purposes but many fans adore it.❤ I prefer the SOS/Digital Concert 2021 version more because it has a Rock vibe and focuses more on his lower register. Dimash is his own genre but includes elements of Opera, Rock, Metal, Pop, EDM, R&B, Jazz, Folk and Rap in his music. (At least, so far😂😂) The Dimash fanbase are called DEARS because Dimash has declared them to be "precious and Dear to him like family. The others were all professional Chinese singers, and he was taken in as (the youngest) dark house; supposed to be for a short time! So, you can see from the other contestants, their reactions to hearing the first time! There are no judges; there are only contestants and the audience (they’re the judges)

That’s not really falsetto. Technically falsetto falls outside of someone’s typically singing range. What you heard was head voice - well within his range.
DIMASH blows Vitas out of the water. Sorry. OPERA II proves it. VITAS requested DIMASH not to sing "his" song. So, far DIMASH has been respectful and complied. Either intentionally or accidentally. Same for Lionel Ritchie camp & "Hello."
I think you need to make the part of the screen with your reaction during the artist's performance bigger, you are absolutely not visible and the reaction is not visible either, especially on the screen of a smartphone or a small tablet.

This show was a singing competition for professional Chinese singers only. He was the first foreigner, the youngest singer, and the only non-professional in the show's history. I dont know for sure about Vitas, but after Dimash did this on The Singer competition in 2017, the other contestants said that Vitas only went up 1 octave and Dimash went up 4 times. Watch The Singer all the way to the very end for a lot more insight into the competition and Dimash.

Somehow the fates gave this boy everything. He has the raw natural talent, he has the extensive training (piano since 3, singing since 5), he has good looks, and on top of all that, he's a very humble and kind person. I HOPE that the fates also gave him good health.
At this Chinese tv show where Dimash performed SOS (the video you watched), he also did a cover of Vitas' song Opera 2. That's a good second Dimash song to react to. Vitas has talent, but Dimash blows him out of the water. Later Dimash songs to react to include Sinful Passion (Grashnaya Strast), Unforgettable Day (Gakku), Ogni Pietra (Olimpico), Stranger, The Story of One Sky, Durdaraz, and pretty much anything he's put out there.
You may later ask if he speaks many languages. He sings in about 13-15 languages (he learns them phonetically) but is fluent in Kazakh and Russian (he is from Kazakhstan which was a former Soviet state), is getting pretty good in English, and is learning Mandarin.
He has named his fans Dears, saying that they are all very dear to him.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.

Dinah’s was the first contestant on the first episode of that talent show. The others were all professional Chinese singers, and he was taken in as (the youngest) dark house; supposed to be for a short time! So, you can see from the other contestants, their reactions to hearing the first time! There are no judges; there are only contestants and the audience (they’re the judges)
I did not know that. Interesting idea that the contestants and audience are the judges. I like that.

There is a lot of talent there. But I love vocals in a lower register, and was never into guys singing falsetto. 🤠
With a range of 7.5 octaves, Master Dimash also allows himself gorgeous lows. Listen to the song Stranger
He has tons of songs in lower ranges. 😉 Try Omir, I Miss You or the Kazakh anthem. Or his newest bluesy pop-rock song When I‘ve got you. Or his duet with Plácido Domingo. Tenor range but with a dark tone. Au Fond Du Temple Saint.

Subtitles are always important, since he sings in so many languages and the lyrics are often deep.
That’s not really falsetto. Technically falsetto falls outside of someone’s typically singing range. What you heard was head voice - well within his range.
DIMASH blows Vitas out of the water. Sorry. OPERA II proves it. VITAS requested DIMASH not to sing "his" song. So, far DIMASH has been respectful and complied. Either intentionally or accidentally. Same for Lionel Ritchie camp & "Hello."

I think you need to make the part of the screen with your reaction during the artist's performance bigger, you are absolutely not visible and the reaction is not visible either, especially on the screen of a smartphone or a small tablet.
