Nope .this is the best vocalist I have ever heard and I’m 67 Dear from Australia and have listened to lots of different musicians and genres all my life.simply he is the best .hardworking and humble guy.he wants to join the world in peace through music
Dimash is extremely famous all over the world! He sings in ALL genres, and in 13 languages. He regularly sells out solo concerts to 40,000+ people all over the world. He is currently working with David Foster in LA (16 times grammy winner) on a project, but we don’t know what it is yet! He won’t sign a contract with the West as he wants to sing what he wants to sing, from Opera to Rock to Pop to Rap. He plays 7 musical instruments and he is University trained and has 2 degrees in Classical and Contemporary vocals, a masters in Composition for which he received a perfect score. He’s an amazing composer! He’s currently working on his Doctorate in Musicality. He’s been vocally trained since the age of 5 and still today receives vocal training for 3-4 hours every day. Which is why he’s so amazing today (not that he wasn’t in 2017 on the performance you just reacted to)! He’s from Kazakhstan, his mother is a famous Opera singer in Kazakhstan and his father is a famous pop singer/producer in Kazakhstan/Europe/Asia. Dimash was 22 here, today he’s 29 and he is considered by the most famous vocal coaches in the world as THE greatest vocalist of ALL time. His range is currently over seven octaves (which is most of the 88 key piano), and whistle notes not even on the piano! He has perfect vocal techniques and perfect pitch. Dimash will be defending his dissertation for a PhD in Musicology this year. He was enrolled in the university music program when he was 5 years old after it was determined that he has absolute pitch.

Hello folks. Dimash. Is not from this planet. I couldn't match him with any other singer. Dead or alive.
Imagine you going up a tower of 3000 steps. You just stepped on the first step of Dimashs singing technique, him as a person and human being, and his vocal power and the tons of octaves that we know of. Trust me, I've been his fan for 5 years. I listened to him every day. And he still surprises me with new tone and techniques. He makes me feel 10 years younger. You might not gonna like all his songs. But u will realize that he's more than someone singing something u liked. He does connect at a different level with his fans. U do see and feel him singing for you.
You can check most of what ppl recommended. But Dimash has so many songs that they have been left behind, and they are a real secret gem.
You can just check on RUclips. Dimash Chinese songs, and also check his duets. It will blow ur mind. And u will see how his voice stands out no matter who or how many singers are there on the stage.
Dimash was offered a position in Kazakh opera but he doesn’t want to be tied down. He has degrees in opera and contemporary singing. He was only 22 at that time, now 29. He is amazing whatever he sings. He has lots of pop songs, folk songs, rock etc.

Dimash was invited to join the national opera company of Kazakstan, but wisely chose instead to strike out on his own. Much love.
This was in 2017. He was only 22 at the time of the competition. He's 29 now. He spoke basically no Chinese or English, only thank yous. But he can sing in any language. He is a humble guy, he only spoke truth when he said he's never been in 2nd place, it was not hubris. Although he did place 2nd in this competition overall. Not with this performance of course. He placed 1st. This was just the start of his rise to international fame, even if he hasn't reached the Western market yet.

This was from a Chinnese song contest titled "The Singer". It was his first performance and everyone's mind in the audience was melted.
SOS is part of the French/Canadian musical/rock opera Starmania. The hero finds his girlfriend killed and sings this song over her dead body. The last words are a goodbye cry: 'Sleep now baby, sleep...'.

Dimash. Started his vocal training at age 5 years old. He has worked all his life to be who he is today, the best vocalist on the face of the planet. My suggestion for you would be to react to Dimash singing Sinful Passion with English subtitles. This is a very romantic song. Also at the end of his performance a man stands up to applaud he has a white shirt on. His name is Igor Krutoy he is a famous music writer producer etc. Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to work with Dimash. The performance of Sinful Passion was the first time he heard Dimash. In future videos you will see Igor Krutoy playing the piano for Dimash. This lets you know that he had much to do with the writing of the music. They make a wonderful team.

I wasn't going to leave a comment but your comment that you can't see his voice being played on the radio couldn't be more wrong. Dimash's music has been played on numerous US radio stations for the last couple of years and his latest song Weekend with DJ Burak Yeter has been taking the European music festivals by storm all summer.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And that in all registers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He was offered a job at the Astana Opera House, but turned it down because he didn't want to only sing operas. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 or 16 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. Sometimes he also can be a little bit goofy, and I love it❤️. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
Luckily he was able to assert himself in the performance. He can be very stubborn. He listens, but then does what he thinks is right😅

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.

Dimash performs concerts worldwide to sellout crowds. He has performed in NY as well to same with fans arriving from throughout the world. Covid caused a pause in his touring. He is currently studying acting in Los Angeles and still performing concerts and producing his own music videos. One of which is the most expensive music video ever made I've heard. He still works with Igor Krutoy, Ukranian born Ruusian billionaire music mogul who composes songs with and for Dimash as well as occasionally accompanying him in performances on the piano. Mark

People from more than 60 countries cross the planet to attend to his concerts. He studied at the music school since he was 5 years old. He was trained in Bel canto, opera, pop and jazz. He has a Master degree in musical composition and ending his doctorade degree in musical theory. He had sing in 12 different languages including chinese, japanese, spanish, etc. He plays at least 7 musical instruments starting with piano, guitar, drumbs and dombra which is the national folk instrument of Kazakhstan. He speaks kazakh, russian and English. His vocal range is today more than 7 octaves. He is 29 years old now and when he was younger he was invited to work at the Astana opera, which he refused in order to make his international career. This is a competition between well established proffessional singers. Dimash, from Kazakhstan was invited to take part, because of his already established career amongst countries around his. He won so many very prestigeous competitions that the organisors of this Chinese singing
competition called The Singer , - they invited him because of his huge talent and expertise,he came 2nd, because no foreigner was allowed to win. They changed that rule the next year.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. Truly, Dimash is very versatile with training in both classical and contemporary styles. He does it all! For more recent styles, you could watch the MV for Be With Me, or Stranger or even the recent collaboration with Burak Yeter on the song “Weekend “ that is getting radio play in parts of the world. Truly difficult to find anything negative about Dimash. (In most of the world, Dimash’s name does not have the “e” sound at the end. That is pretty specific to China.). Cheers from Canada!

This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer).
The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
Despite Dimash's planned brief presence at the competition, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. The name Dimashi was chosen and the 3 syllables were assigned to the Chinese characters: * Di - achievement * Ma - precious stone * Shi - dream, wish.
The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to RUclips ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Dimash's entry in Wikipedia totally explains the Chinese show I Am A Singer 2017. Just a kid here (22), Dimash was a total unknown In China and this is the show that introduced him to the world.
He did 13 performances and they are a great introduction to his talent . Watch them even if you Di on't make reactions and use G. Wu's YT for English subtitles and VERY important back stories. Hope you choose to take the Dimash Journey of discovery! Will subscribe if you do.

Who is Dimash? Beginning his singing career at age 5, his range extends from the top of the bass register to the highest notes of the coloratura soprano and whistle register. His first digital music album "ID" went platinum in only 37 seconds after release, and 3x platinum in only one hour, and 5x platinum in only one day on Chinese music platforms In December 2019, he made his US debut in New York at the Barclays Center. Dears (those he calls his fans) traveled from 68 different countries, 43 states & 2 US territories, and was sold out. At age five Dimash was accepted into the most distinguished music academy in his country. Now writing his Doctoral thesis for a PhD in Musicology/ Composing, received all his degrees with honors while simultaneously filling arenas and maintaining his performing career, a first! Great Reaction!! This was the first performance of the first night of the Chinese competition show - The Singer - in 2017. Generally only accomplished Chinese singers could participate. But Dimash had won several contests in Kazakhstan, and was invited to compete as a wild card. No one had any idea who he was, and as it was his first performance, the audience was advised in advance by the producers to applaud and give him a warm welcome to the stage. By the end of the song, they were applauding and cheering for real. He took first place for that night's competition. The next day, he had 600 million hits on Weibo (China’s Instagram)... and the rest, as they say, is history.

To be honest, Roimer, I have never quite understood the appeal of "Sinful Passion,"---especially for anyone who might be a bit reluctant to dive too deeply into music as unusual as that one. I personally would recommend "Ave Maria," "Love Is Like a Dream," or "Love of Tired Swans," as good places for this couple to start. Just a personal opinion. And kudos to you for introducing so many youtube reactors to Dimash. You are the best at that!

You've only scratch the surface of the world's best singer. He has a six octave range, sings in a dozen languages and sings all song genres. Check out his other songs and you will be blown away. Songs: Sinful Passion (has the longest run at the end), Ogni Petra (pop opera song where he sings both male and female vocal), sang the Fifth Element alien song, and some oldies like "Hello", "Billie Jean" are sung flawlessly. One song was for the movie: "The Creators" is one of my favorites (sung in English) as is another song written exclusively for him since he is the only person that can sing it, "Stranger" also in english.

He is from Kazakhstan and was offered a place in the Astana Opera house, but didn't want to restrict himself to one genre of music. He has studied music since aged 5 when his grandmother enroled him in music school and continued through music college winning 2 degrees in music, with honours and, I believe has now also completed his doctorate in music also. He is also a composer, sings in 14 languages and has a worldwide fan base (he calls his fans Dears) who travel the world to see him live in concert. He sells out arenas all over the world. He is also the most humble and down-to-earth young man who cares deeply for his family, his Dears and campaigns for peace and unification of all countries/religions.
