Mariah Carey's highest whistle note is G#7, however Dimash's highest whistle note in a "live" concert in Gakku is D8. This is nearly an octave higher and in front of 155,000 fans, the song is called "Unforgettable Day" which he composed at 17 years old. The performance is on utube, he is also regarded by many professional voice coaches as the best singer in the world.

The number of languages Dimash sings in keeps climbing. It is multiple but I doubt 14 or 15. He does sing 7 octaves in multiple languages. As far as Mariah goes Dimash hits a D8 so I doubt she's done that. He also plays 8 instruments. Hes 29 now as of May. He's 6'3". He is from Kazahstan. He has had multiple concerts when fans from over 60 countries to see him!

The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest note ever produced by a male as an E8. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts. During the 2017 annual Gakku TV open-air concert, Dimash set the record for the highest note ever sung during a live performance. SOS is Dimash masterpiece!! It is an existentialist song, about ups and downs in life, depression and death, when you feel you don’t belong here. The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. It has now been almost 6 years since I first saw this performance by Dimash. It still gives me goosebumps. It remains one of my all time favorites from Dimash especially considering the circumstances. He OPENED the 2017 edition of the annual Chinese competition of invitation only professional Chinese singers from different genres vying for the title of Chinese Singer of the Year with this performance. Dimash at 22 yrs when the 14 week competition began was the youngest ever competitor. As a special invite and a virtual unknown to his competitors, judges and viewing audience, he was also the first ever non-Chinese invite as a Kazahk. He proceeds to sing what is considered one of the top 5 most difficult of FRENCH songs to his Mandarin speaking audience. The result is that the sensation created required that the show provide him with constant bodyguards throughout the show. The song SOS became a signature song for Dimash and the show I Am Singer became a springboard for Dimash's career on a larger worldwide stage. The show is the largest viewed talent show in the world generating billions of views. I also love this performance and others from the show due to warm loving acceptance and connection to Dimash from his Chinese fans. There is another very special performance from this show. The song is Autumn Strong / Late Summer which Dimash learns phonetically in one week and performs it in Mandarin as tribute to the Chinese people. It is an extremely well known song to the Chinese with a very emotional backstory. I highly recommend you view it as well. SOS was a favorite French song of mine for over 35 years and when I heard DIMASH sing it I was blown away, he "killed" it; this was pver 6 years ago and I have been a "dear" every since. I only thought it was being done perfectly until DIMASH. Later he did a song in Russian called "Love is like a Dream" my next most favorite song and again he blew my mind. Your wife's reaction was great and her comments I loved so I subscribed, something I don't usually do at the first reaction.
A bit of context about the song : it’s a french song from a 70s rock opera. It was composed for a singer, Daniel Balavoine, who had an impressive vocal range (not as big as Dimash, but he could still sing in the alto register). That’s why it’s one of the hardest french songs to sing. In addition to being a sad song about basically someone who wants to end their life and see the world from above, Daniel Balavoine died three weeks after he first sang it in a helicopter accident, aged 33. The second famous french interpreter of this song, Grégory Lemarchal, had cystic fibrosis and died at 23. And this has become Dimash’s signature song - the first one he ever sang on that Chinese show that brought him fame. In 2018, Dimash’s best friend, Dennis Ten, was murdered in Kazakhstan (stabbed to death by thieves). He was 25, an olympic level ice skater but also a singer. Their dream was to perform together on stage one day. So during his concert the following year, Dimash sang SOS as a tribute to him and included a recording of his friend’s voice so that they could sing together one last time. He also sang SOS once a few months after the tragedy and he was practically crying on stage but still managed to carry on the performance somehow. It becomes evident in Sinful Passion where he sings through a ridiculously difficult passage of 24 seconds without breathing - most people don't even notice it because they are so amazed by the vocal flexibility. In Stranger, it is more recognizavle because he simply holds a long note, as well as in Love Is Like A Dream where the last never ending note resembles the lyrics which say: "May this love never end."
Hello! Dimash speaks 2 languages: Khasak and Russian, but he actually sings in about 15 languages. He understand english without translation and now (2023) speaks relatively well. He also speak a little bit of mandarin. Many of his songs are in mandarin language.This performance was in 2017 when he had only 23 years old, in a contest in China (I am a singer). Dimash was the only person outside China that was invited to participate in the contest. If you enjoyed this performance you should see the version of his digital show (during pandemic) in 2021. He has many beautifull songs were you can really explore the range and the control that Dimash has. Original songs by Dimash are so many, but I sugest that you look at Stranger (English), Olimpico or Ogni Pietra (Italian), Durdaraz and Salmatau (Khasak), Autumn Strong (Mandarin) or Ikanaide (Japanese). You mentioned about Dimash being a multi instrumentalist. Dimash has sung in 13 languages ( I believe 14 now) can play 7 instruments and is incredible at Taekwondo. His range is pure insanity as you have noticed. His highest note is a D8 ( off the piano keyboard) at 4896.63 Hz Mariah’s highest note is a G7 at 3135.96 Hz. Technically it takes less air for high notes. Think about whistling, you purse your lips to get a small hole to get that whistle sound. Dimash's voice is awesome, because even his high notes sound so pure. Dimash has sung in over a dozen languages, I think its up to 15 now.

The number of languages Dimash sings in keeps climbing. It is multiple but I doubt 14 or 15. He does sing 7 octaves in multiple languages. The Guinness Book of Records lists the highest note ever produced by a male as an E8. That was done in a studio, where the singer was just trying to hit the note. He held the note briefly after a proper warm-up and several attempts. During the 2017 annual Gakku TV open-air concert, Dimash set the record for the highest note ever sung during a live performance. It is his now-famous D8. He did this in front of approximately 150,000 fans in attendance. Dimash not only hit a D8; he did a glissando and held it for several seconds, even adding vibrato to it. The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. Dimash is a world class artist from Kazakhstan, turned 29 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, he also performs in concerts with the famous Ukrainian/Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. It has now been almost 6 years since I first saw this performance by Dimash. It still gives me goosebumps. It remains one of my all time favorites from Dimash especially considering the circumstances. He OPENED the 2017 edition of the annual Chinese competition of invitation only professional Chinese singers from different genres vying for the title of Chinese Singer of the Year with this performance. Dimash at 22 yrs when the 14 week competition began was the youngest ever competitor. As a special invite and a virtual unknown to his competitors, judges and viewing audience, he was also the first ever non-Chinese invite as a Kazahk. He proceeds to sing what is considered one of the top 5 most difficult of FRENCH songs to his Mandarin speaking audience. The result is that the sensation created required that the show provide him with constant bodyguards throughout the show. The song SOS became a signature song for Dimash and the show I Am Singer became a springboard for Dimash's career on a larger worldwide stage. The show is the largest viewed talent show in the world generating billions of views. I also love this performance and others from the show due to warm loving acceptance and connection to Dimash from his Chinese fans. There is another very special performance from this show. The song is Autumn Strong / Late Summer which Dimash learns phonetically in one week and performs it in Mandarin as tribute to the Chinese people. It is an extremely well known song to the Chinese with a very emotional backstory. I highly recommend you view it as well. The best is the longer version from the Gloria Wu channel that has the song backstory and interesting foreword of Dimash preparing for his performance of it. SOS was a favorite French song of mine for over 35 years and when I heard DIMASH sing it I was blown away, he "killed" it; this was pver 6 years ago and I have been a "dear" every since. I only thought it was being done perfectly until DIMASH. Later he did a song in Russian called "Love is like a Dream" my next most favorite song and again he blew my mind. Your wife's reaction was great and her comments I loved so I subscribed, something I don't usually do at the first reaction.
A bit of context about the song : it’s a french song from a 70s rock opera. It was composed for a singer, Daniel Balavoine, who had an impressive vocal range (not as big as Dimash, but he could still sing in the alto register). That’s why it’s one of the hardest french songs to sing. In addition to being a sad song about basically someone who wants to end their life and see the world from above, Daniel Balavoine died three weeks after he first sang it in a helicopter accident, aged 33. The second famous french interpreter of this song, Grégory Lemarchal, had cystic fibrosis and died at 23. And this has become Dimash’s signature song - the first one he ever sang on that Chinese show that brought him fame. In 2018, Dimash’s best friend, Dennis Ten, was murdered in Kazakhstan (stabbed to death by thieves). He was 25, an olympic level ice skater but also a singer. Their dream was to perform together on stage one day. So during his concert the following year, Dimash sang SOS as a tribute to him and included a recording of his friend’s voice so that they could sing together one last time. He also sang SOS once a few months after the tragedy and he was practically crying on stage but still managed to carry on the performance somehow. I think the background is important to know to understand the emotional weight of the song for this fandom 🫶

That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to RUclips ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Hello! Dimash speaks 2 languages: Khasak and Russian, but he actually sings in about 15 languages. He understand english without translation and now (2023) speaks relatively well. He also speak a little bit of mandarin. Many of his songs are in mandarin language.This performance was in 2017 when he had only 23 years old, in a contest in China (I am a singer). Dimash was the only person outside China that was invited to participate in the contest. If you enjoyed this performance you should see the version of his digital show (during pandemic) in 2021. He has many beautifull songs were you can really explore the range and the control that Dimash has. This was a very enjoyable reaction. The song "S.O.S. (d'un Terrien en détresse)" is originally from a French-Canadian musical called 'Starmania' from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's "I Am A Singer" competition. "I Am A Singer" is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode. It is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds judge the show by points each week.
At 22 years old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the show's history and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a 'wildcard' competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months, and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live, and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash's mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition.
This was the very first episode of the competition, and Dimash had to go first because he was considered the weakest, given that he was completely unknown to the audience. After this performance, he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th for his rendition of "Adagio," a song made famous by Lara Fabian.
First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall; however, he lost by a very narrow margin. He lost a lot of points for his performance of "Uptown Funk." Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China.
As part of the contest, all contestants/performers are required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang "Unforgettable Day," a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh and in Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition.
Here is the order of Dimash's performances for The Singer 2017. The contest lasts 14 weeks, but Dimash has only 13 performances because he had already made it into the semi-finals by week 11.

You mentioned about Dimash being a multi instrumentalist. Dimash has sung in 13 languages ( I believe 14 now) can play 7 instruments and is incredible at Taekwondo. His range is pure insanity as you have noticed. His highest note is a D8 ( off the piano keyboard) at 4896.63 Hz Mariah’s highest note is a G7 at 3135.96 Hz. Ariana Grande’s highest note is an E7 at 2637.02 Hz. And we are only talking about the high notes. The lows are equally as brilliant. Best artist on the planet hands down ❤

Technically it takes less air for high notes. Think about whistling, you purse your lips to get a small hole to get that whistle sound. Dimash's voice is awesome, because even his high notes sound so pure. Dimash has sung in over a dozen languages, I think its up to 15 now.
