I saw Dimash's SOS video from the 2017 Singer show in China exactly a month ago, and in this month I have become an expert on Dimash!!! I have watched his songs, concerts, reaction videos, etc. nonstop; am learning the words to his songs in Kazakh, Russian, & Mandarin; playing his songs on my keyboard; and learning everything I can about him from interviews and shows he went on in China & Russia. I watched the entire 14 episodes of the Singer from 2017 with English subs, and got to appreciate the other performers and the high quality production of that show. Yes, I have been completely Dimashified, yet listening to this very first song of SOS never gets old! I love the French language, and the words touched me deeply, as well as his skill, the first time I heard him sing it. It touches me every time! I am 64 years old, with a huge crush on Dimash, honored to have lived long enough to get to be on the same planet with him, a Dear forever!!!
What to watch next....hmmm: ALL of Dimash's performance, BUT, Autumn Strong, Love is Like a Dream, and Unforgetable Day to start!!! He is the "Ultimate Performer", passion, power, body posture, the power posture stance, conducting himself with his hands...and those EYES...can never get enough of this "Master"!!!!
I think I became a fan after the first time I heard him. I subscribe to a reactor called JamelakaJamal and was watching his journey into the music I grew up with and he had one video that listed his top 20 and he had Dimash listed at 20. I thought, 'what's a dimash?' so looked him up and watched him perform this song at the competition in China. When he was done, I just sat there stunned and thought 'what did I just hear?' I couldn't even think... I just felt. I had to watch it a few more times and was blown away every time. I started watching the reaction videos just to see if other people had the same experience.
I became a Dear in 2017 while he was participating on the Chinese competition “I am Singer “. It’s a competition where already established and famous musicians compete against each other and Dimash was brought on as a wildcard, the youngest and first foreigner to ever be invited to participate on the show. This competition is incredible and makes our competitions here in America look likes child’s play! Since Dimash was brought on as a wildcard, he was unknown by the Chinese people and let me add that the rules in this competition are very strict and sometimes difficult to understand but once you figure out how the extremely large audience votes and how the rules can change at any time you will easily become hooked on the show because as I said, it’s incredible and so are the artists that perform on there. Getting back to Dimash, he had to be the very first performer on the night the competition started and he performed “SOS” and blew the audience away with his talent and he won that night! Dimash won several times but after all the scores were added up at the end of the season, he got 2nd place, The winner was a lady named Sandy who would probably be the equivalent of a Dianna Ross or someone well known and loved here in America for many years(the Diana Ross hypotheses was just an example) but Dimash went from the 1st night before he performed SOS as an unknown artist in China to needing security the next morning after he performed. The Chinese people absolutely fell in love with him and he is now a very well known and extremely loved artist in China who is followed by billions there and that began his true start to becoming a International superstar! Dimash came back for a charity performance in 2018 to sing a incredible version of the classic song “Hello” by Lionel Ritchie and its a must see! During the 2018 season Jessie J was invited to compete & ended up winning that year. She was blown away by Dimash, her reaction was caught on tape during his performance! The 2nd place artist in 2018 was Hua Chenyu, whom is also a must see & hear artists! Besides Dimash he is my favorite artist from ever from “I am Singer “ and there are many GREAT ARTISTS! Hua Chenyu came back this year in 2020 and won! He’s more Rock/Rap but he does a little of everything, he’s an incredible vocalist/singer/songwriter and composer and happens to be one of the most popular musicians in China at this time! You must check him out if you haven’t already, I love him & I’m a big fan but Dimash has stolen my heart and reach a part of my soul that no musician has ever done so although I’m a true Martian( what Hua Chenyu calls his fans) I am a -#Dear4Life (I came up with that hashtag myself!) Please keep listening & reacting to Dimash, you will never be disappointed and he will never fail to impress and also check out Hua Chenyu, maybe start with a performance from the 2018 I am Singer competition with the song called “Nunchucks” and/or his performance on the 2020 show with a song called “Bullfighter” I love one of his songs called “Giant Deer” , it’s absolutely beautiful and you can find that on his official channel or just by looking it up . My favorite is the performance he does during one of his concerts, it’s not the Mars tour I don’t believe but he’s singing behind a screen at first with images of big whales and Dears on the screen and the end has some very beautiful harmonies by his background singers! I slowly became a fan of him... Started to listen with SOS, Sinful passion, Ogni Pietra and Love is like a dream. Those were enough to make me a dear... Even I wasn't into these type of genre before. Dimash is incredible and sure the best.
Late 2017 (Dec. I think) I saw a video "The best singer in the world" and I clicked on it. It was S.O.S. from the Chinese "I am a Singer 2017". Been hooked ever since. If you search there are several versions of SOS including one in France where SOS originated in a French rock opera and all of them are slightly different as he seeks to improve. As you are swept down the river that is Dimash you will find that there are no bad songs, no mistakes (that I have ever heard) and always something new and fresh to amaze.

This EXTRATERRESTE DIMASH should receive all our possible consideration. He, with his incredible voice, manages to give a song more beauty than it has. I imagine the envy of those who consider themselves the supreme vocal juice. Therefore, not valuing Dimash is a mistake that only the ignaros, the ones without musical and sound sensitivity, the OGROS (male and female), the truculent ones make only. What has me completely captivated by Dimash when he sings, is that he is there TO sing. There is no pouty lips and all the nonsense that singers do these days. He opens his mouth and dang well sings! His every move is geared toward the science of releasing his voice. He paints the song with his hands, tells the story of the song with emotion and movement. IMO Dimash becomes the music that is why many of us are Dears. It's the music that is important to him, and he made us realize what we have been missing for SO long.

The first time I heard him sing "SOS" - I could listen to it all day! As others have recommended, definitely check out "Olimpico"/"Ogni Pietra" (Arnau) which was composed for Dimash and really showcases his lower register.
Brilliant Skylar. Excellent. Personally, I was ambushed by his SOS in the Singer 2017 competition in February 2017. It has been incredible to see his growth as an artist and as a person. It has also been a privilege to see people discovering and appreciating him. I can't quite bring myself to call myself a Dear, but I am definitely a Dimash Bro who recognizes that every time I watch him sing I am seeing history being created. Keep going....

As a Dear, this was the first song that I heard and listened from him (although it was the I Am A Singer version), and it blew my mind instantly. I'm an avid rock and metal music fan, and I particularly love high screaming tones, so Dimash's voice clicked instantly with me. Next I think you should do Sinful Passion, you'll love it a lot. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his viewers worldwide especially the young will learned from his optimistic views in pursuing his professional fields to the optimum level especially his confidence, creativity and perseverance. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concerns whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..? Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it. With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
SONG OF DIMASH IN FRENCH “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song (Ref CCC): I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG : The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” means in a sad lyrics says … “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute. Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth” as Saint Paul reminded us that “our present sufferings are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Oh please do Sinful Passion. I found Dimash in 2017 when someone posted a video of Dimash, titled 'Best Voice in the World'. I clicked out of curiosity and there was this very handsome guy singing Opera 2. If you want to be again blown away... do that one as well. I was hooked from that moment on and I literally listen to Dimash every single day. He does not know it but he helps me cook, clean, drive. He enjoys coffee with me in the mornings and gets me through a workout.
Laura Alkhaz for sinful passion, my recommendation would be the arnau concert. The contrast of him looking like the leader of a boy band singing a song with opera notes always blows me away.

I saw Dimash's SOS video from the 2017 Singer show in China exactly a month ago, and in this month I have become an expert on Dimash!!! I have watched his songs, concerts, reaction videos, etc. nonstop; am learning the words to his songs in Kazakh, Russian, & Mandarin; playing his songs on my keyboard; and learning everything I can about him from interviews and shows he went on in China & Russia. I watched the entire 14 episodes of the Singer from 2017 with English subs, and got to appreciate the other performers and the high quality production of that show. Yes, I have been completely Dimashified, yet listening to this very first song of SOS never gets old! I love the French language, and the words touched me deeply, as well as his skill, the first time I heard him sing it. It touches me every time! I am 64 years old, with a huge crush on Dimash, honored to have lived long enough to get to be on the same planet with him, a Dear forever!!!

I think I became a fan after the first time I heard him. I subscribe to a reactor called JamelakaJamal and was watching his journey into the music I grew up with and he had one video that listed his top 20 and he had Dimash listed at 20. I thought, 'what's a dimash?' so looked him up and watched him perform this song at the competition in China. When he was done, I just sat there stunned and thought 'what did I just hear?' I couldn't even think... I just felt. I had to watch it a few more times and was blown away every time. I started watching the reaction videos just to see if other people had the same experience.

I became a Dear in 2017 while he was participating on the Chinese competition “I am Singer “. It’s a competition where already established and famous musicians compete against each other and Dimash was brought on as a wildcard, the youngest and first foreigner to ever be invited to participate on the show. This competition is incredible and makes our competitions here in America look likes child’s play! Since Dimash was brought on as a wildcard, he was unknown by the Chinese people and let me add that the rules in this competition are very strict and sometimes difficult to understand but once you figure out how the extremely large audience votes and how the rules can change at any time you will easily become hooked on the show because as I said, it’s incredible and so are the artists that perform on there. Getting back to Dimash, he had to be the very first performer on the night the competition started and he performed “SOS” and blew the audience away with his talent and he won that night! Dimash won several times but after all the scores were added up at the end of the season, he got 2nd place, The winner was a lady named Sandy who would probably be the equivalent of a Dianna Ross or someone well known and loved here in America for many years(the Diana Ross hypotheses was just an example) but Dimash went from the 1st night before he performed SOS as an unknown artist in China to needing security the next morning after he performed. The Chinese people absolutely fell in love with him and he is now a very well known and extremely loved artist in China who is followed by billions there and that began his true start to becoming a International superstar! Dimash came back for a charity performance in 2018 to sing a incredible version of the classic song “Hello” by Lionel Ritchie and its a must see! During the 2018 season Jessie J was invited to compete & ended up winning that year. She was blown away by Dimash, her reaction was caught on tape during his performance! The 2nd place artist in 2018 was Hua Chenyu, whom is also a must see & hear artists! Besides Dimash he is my favorite artist from ever from “I am Singer “ and there are many GREAT ARTISTS! Hua Chenyu came back this year in 2020 and won! He’s more Rock/Rap but he does a little of everything, he’s an incredible vocalist/singer/songwriter and composer and happens to be one of the most popular musicians in China at this time! You must check him out if you haven’t already, I love him & I’m a big fan but Dimash has stolen my heart and reach a part of my soul that no musician has ever done so although I’m a true Martian( what Hua Chenyu calls his fans) I am a -#Dear4Life (I came up with that hashtag myself!) Please keep listening & reacting to Dimash, you will never be disappointed and he will never fail to impress and also check out Hua Chenyu, maybe start with a performance from the 2018 I am Singer competition with the song

Late 2017 (Dec. I think) I saw a video "The best singer in the world" and I clicked on it. It was S.O.S. from the Chinese "I am a Singer 2017". Been hooked ever since. If you search there are several versions of SOS including one in France where SOS originated in a French rock opera and all of them are slightly different as he seeks to improve. As you are swept down the river that is Dimash you will find that there are no bad songs, no mistakes (that I have ever heard) and always something new and fresh to amaze.

What has me completely captivated by Dimash when he sings, is that he is there TO sing. There is no pouty lips and all the nonsense that singers do these days. He opens his mouth and dang well sings! His every move is geared toward the science of releasing his voice. He paints the song with his hands, tells the story of the song with emotion and movement. IMO Dimash becomes the music that is why many of us are Dears. It's the music that is important to him, and he made us realize what we have been missing for SO long.

Brilliant Skylar. Excellent. Personally, I was ambushed by his SOS in the Singer 2017 competition in February 2017. It has been incredible to see his growth as an artist and as a person. It has also been a privilege to see people discovering and appreciating him. I can't quite bring myself to call myself a Dear, but I am definitely a Dimash Bro who recognizes that every time I watch him sing I am seeing history being created. Keep going....

Hi Skylar, it's nice seeing you reacted on Dimash again. As a Dear, this was the first song that I heard and listened from him (although it was the I Am A Singer version), and it blew my mind instantly. I'm an avid rock and metal music fan, and I particularly love high screaming tones, so Dimash's voice clicked instantly with me. Next I think you should do Sinful Passion, you'll love it a lot. I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his viewers worldwide especially the young will learned from his optimistic views in pursuing his professional fields to the optimum level especially his confidence, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music.
The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. Also the fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..?
I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible.
My other concerns whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
SONG OF DIMASH IN FRENCH “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song (Ref CCC): I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death) STORY BEHIND THE SONG : The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” means in a sad lyrics says … “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute.
Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith.
For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God.
Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth” as Saint Paul reminded us that “our present sufferings are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality.
Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life, if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we died reconciled with God and at peace with others.
Death is the end of our earthly life. Since it is unknown to all of us, the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times. Artists like Dimash have a little "harder" time getting "air time" but finally because of the internet he is finally getting "Worldwide attention!!" Oh please do Sinful Passion. I found Dimash in 2017 when someone posted a video of Dimash, titled 'Best Voice in the World'. I clicked out of curiosity and there was this very handsome guy singing Opera 2. If you want to be again blown away... do that one as well. I was hooked from that moment on and I literally listen to Dimash every single day. He does not know it but he helps me cook, clean, drive. He enjoys coffee with me in the mornings and gets me through a workout.
Laura Alkhaz for sinful passion, my recommendation would be the arnau concert. The contrast of him looking like the leader of a boy band singing a song with opera notes always blows me away.
