- In today''s video I am sharing all my tips for travelling and flying long haul with kids. We travelled from London to Turks and Caicos and it took us 15 hours! In this video I will show how I entertained my 3 kids on the plane. A: I was born and raised to Toronto, Ontario, Canada but moved to Essex in England when I was 14 years old. Hence my mixed up accent.

A: I worked in Marketing and PR but I now focus on my vlog full time.

I did a 24 hour trip to Russia by myself , my kids are 4 and 2 yo. 3 planes , the longest was 10 hour flight. And what saved us was many brand new dollar store toys and snacks! (And movies of course) These are great ideas, thank you Emily!

Hi Nicha. I have been on at Matt about doing this video as he organises most of our holidays. I think the main bit of advice I have learnt if you have kids in school so are governed by the school holidays, is to book early as you don't tend to get too many actual deals in the school holidays if you leave in to last minute.

Does anyone know which airline was this? Footrest that makes flight chair a bed for kids is not approved by most airlines I just wonder if this was Super Family Friendly airline which was OK with it. We are planning a trip overseas and I want to prep and organize before the flight.

What I wouldn’t give to be able to take my son on a long haul flight now to meet his grandparents for the first time! Funny how covid has changed our perspective.

We fly to New Zealand next Easter and you have made it look so easy! Hopefully the thought is worse than doing it for us as well 🤞🏻Our eldest will be 6 and youngest 17months 😫

mtheron100 4 hours is actually a short trip. I fly three legs of a total of 16 hours. Be prepared and don't stress!
Hi! Your travel bed is an interesting one.. BA on their website say inflatables like that aren't allowed.. Have you ever been told you cant use it? We have a 2yr old we're taking to Orlando on BA and this would be ideal for him, but we're not sure if it's allowed!

Omg I took my kids on their first 8 hour flight and I used your tips but my youngest got very upset :( I took everything they love onto the plane but it didnt quite work out for us unfortunately
Hey Emily thanks so much for this, we're taking a shorter flight than what we're used to (I think the longest with 3 was 15 or 16hrs) we're flying to NY tomorrow with our 8, 6, 4 & 1 year old it'll be my baby boys first flight - I'm nervous!! Were flying home from Miami so a little longer, but the Gatwick to NY flight is only about 8hrs so not bad! 👍🏽

Hi, Did you have any trouble at certain airlines with the Yo-Yo Travel buggies? Do they fit in the overhead or under the seat. I got some for my 3 girls but my husband is convinced the airport will turn them away.
My flight to korea was 20 hrs long including a 3 hr lay over and when I was at the 17 hr mark even n i, at 21 year old (at the time) was so fed and restless i can't imagine being a child on flights that long. I did a direct flight to korea which was 14 hrs but the lay over is much needed 14 hrs in 1 so is awful

Hi IM 8 (I'm on my dad's phone) and me and all my sisters are going on a 8 hour flight to Dubai and you have gave me ideas to do on the plane this is my 1st time watching to videos and I like it and I am going to download loads of games for the flight for my little sister who will be two when we go and anyway you have helped me loads to prepare ty :)

Can you do a video on how you manage the time difference with your kids? It's the main thing that puts me off travelling too far with my toddler.
We never go long haul for less than 10/11 nights if we can help it. Go to bed when they go to bed as jet lag will often get them up at 2/3/4am and you need to have had some sleep. Take advantage of the early starts in the first few days and book days out/activities/excursions that require an early start on these days. Watch the sunrise etc.
They soon adjust. Coming home can be trickier so be prepared for a disrupted first few days home if you can and like I say sleep when they sleep so you're getting rest.

It's nice to see your kids entertaining each other! Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I don't bring toys on the flight for my toddler (15-months-old). We just pack lots of snacks! I found with my first kid that he tended not to play with the toys I packed, so we gave up on them.

In May this year i Will travel from the Netherlands to the Philippines is 22 hours with 2 kids. Age 0 and 2,5. I AM really not looking forward to it. But when you marry a Philippina i knew this was going to happen. Allthough i hoped my kids would be a bit older

I remember growing up when I was 10 on a Qantas flight from Adelaide to England, 24hr. My mum, dad, my 12yo sister and my 5yo sister. All we got was a colouring in book, that’s it.😐 But I do remember being able to spend a good hour in the cockpit of the 747-338 jumbo jet. Was the greatest moment of my childhood life.😁

I don’t think they will need one at all. They’ll probably like sitting in the big seat and walking around a little xx

Hi! Was Jackson potty trained when you did this trip? Was it difficult to use the airplane bathroom with him? I have a 27 month old boy and a near 9 hour flight in a month, he'd just been potty trained and I'm a little nervous about that 😅

Great video! What lego do you buy? My sons a similar age to Jackson and he’s only ever played with lego duplo so far as the age groups are usually 5+ for the other sets, I think he would enjoy the smaller bricks x
