My mother and father had me traveling around with them on planes as early as 6 months old from Norway to the US to see family when my mom got homesick for the States. We literally attribute me being so good and quiet (I weirdly never cried) while traveling growing up because I was exposed to it so early. It’s part of the reason I don’t understand people arguing for leaving their kids with someone else while you travel (although I understand that some circumstances might require leaving your little one behind). They may not remember the trip, but having that experience traveling absolutely makes an impact on their overall development, and will make future vacations that much easier.
I'm about to take my son on his 9th flight and my daughter's 5th. She's just under two. I have her as infant in lap on my ticket, but since my husband won't be able to come, we will have the extra seat in our row. So that'll be her seat during the flight. So thankful my arms will get a break.
These are really great tips, and I like that the Traveling Princess was the center of attention on this one! I think this video will really help parents who love to travel and are taking their toddler with them. Flexibility is definitely a big tip to heed!
Flying as a family got to be too expensive for my family when we got to four members. Now we're at 6 (4 kids and 2 adults) and haven't flown as a family in 6 years. We mostly drive places, as my kids get older maybe we'll fly again as a family, maybe Hawaii like you or Cabo.
your video is really help and step by step. so i have question speaking of formula is there a minimun or limit of it like how many ounces or about water for you baby.? im traveling this dec and i have 2t with us. thank you
Great tips! I will say that booking an overnight flight was the worst thing I did for my 10 month old. She slept 1 hour on the 8 hour flight and I was exhausted trying to take care of her and trying to keep her quiet to be respectful of others sleeping. Might work for some but if it doesn’t then prepare for torture.
Hey Chris, also planning a Maui trip with our infant. Since our little one goes to sleep before 8pm pacific time, which is 6pm Hawaii time, what could the parents do afterwards without being trapped in the small hotel room? We are thinking about putting her to the stroller bassinet and just walk around the resort. Any other ideas?
She is precious. I've been waiting for this video for 12 years 😂 Parents are going to appreciate this video. 👍Let me know if you need Tips traveling to Vegas with a Toddler, kid, teen. We started taking her at 8 months. And if you know where to go and what to do you can have a great kid friendly Vegas Vacation.
Agree w each tip!!! Especially getting her own seat!!!!! They need to jump and your lap will get so sore and u will get exhausted!!! Oh yes the night flight to 🌙sleep 💤In the car seat 💺😴
Great tips! I know you didn’t list this as a tip, but why didn’t I think of putting the car seat in the stroller basket?! Perfect fit! 🤯 FYI, UppaBaby sells car seat and stroller bags that have a guarantee if they get damaged while using their bags.
I had babyfood in my carry on last yeat and tsa swabbed my hands and made me go into the body scanner. They said it was specifically because of the babyfood.
Thanks for this video. One quick question please - Is it mandatory to carry a car seat for a toddler of around 21months if we book a seat for the toddler? Does airlines restrict us to board the plane if we don't carry a car seat?
We had the Uppababy Mesa while she was smaller... and now have the Nuna Rava, and Clek Foonf for our home cars... both of those are heavy and don't travel.
Hi!! I’m curious. Did you use a carseat on the plane? Maybe i just didn’t see it. We are travelling soon with our 18th and i am not looking forward to it. 🤪🤣
Indeed we have used a car seat on the plane. Actually thats the thumbnail picture here. The uppababy Mesa. Really good if your kiddo needs to sleep on the plane. And that way we don't have to check or gatecheck the car seat. Just bring it on the plane and use it as a seat.
Chris just a suggestion when you visit Vancouver try eating at kingyo izakaya Japanese cuisine and also Chung chun rice hot dog both are in downtown Vancouver . 😊
Dad, great video until the end "first world" is out dated and derogatory. Following it up with "plan your African Safari.." was a deadly blow. You clearly put a lot of thought into the video but things fell apart there. I was gonna share this video but I just can't now. Your daughter is a gem and you seem like a present and engaging dad. Please teach her that we don't refer to places as first and third world anymore.
Life Tip with children: Reorganise your life. It will not be the same as before. But it will be other. Something new, an interessting experience. I enjoy every day since nearby 5 years.

@@YellowProductions I sure didn't mean to say what u r doing is wrong. Just wanted to help those that don't travel w children to feel OK about it. No guilt either way. Live your best life
If I were to suggest we leave our two year old with our parents for a couple weeks while we go on vacation, my wife would suggest we stay home. We’d miss the little guy too much.

Great tips. Your traveling princess is much calmer than our kids😊.
Maybe I just show the calmer parts on video :)

Great toddler travel tips, Chris!
Thanks! :)
Does it cost to hate check the stroller/seat
Wow! Your list is solid!
How often do you still use the inflatable foot test still?
Now that she's 3 years old we don't
Very helpful❤
Thanks for this video. One quick question please - Is it mandatory to carry a car seat for a toddler of around 21months if we book a seat for the toddler? Does airlines restrict us to board the plane if we don't carry a car seat?
No. You don't need a car seat. Toddler can just sit on your lap
Awesome job chris
Adorable kid
What stroller do you use when you travel?
We have 2. The Uppababy Cruz and the Ergobaby Metro+
Thank you so much!
Thanks UR!
Soooooooo adorable 💛💛💛💛💛
Thank you!!! Great tips!!!
Thanks Sherry!
Omgoodness, start traveling when youngster is 4 yrs old.....so much MORE FUN for everyone, especially mom.
Some parents could use a vaycay before the kiddo is 4. Lol we're going to Florida with our 2 year old next month.
Wow wasn’t expecting this advice but I’m a single mom don’t still suggest my baby listens pretty well and loves tech
What kind of car seat do you have ?
We had the Uppababy Mesa while she was smaller... and now have the Nuna Rava, and Clek Foonf for our home cars... both of those are heavy and don't travel.

Is it required to take a car seat going on a trip with my 2 year old?
On the plane? No. But if you're going to be getting a rental car in the USA then they likely need a car seat
Great video ! Thank you !
Thanks Marina!
Hi Chris, does the baby carrier count as a carry-on?
I checked in the baby carrier as luggage.
@@YellowProductions good to know! Thanks.
@@YellowProductions did you need to put the hiking baby carrier in a bag or did you gate check it?
You are a rockstar

18 months

Oh, such good tips! never heard of bellies they look delicious
How y’all changed her diaper we taking a trip to see my husbands dad and sisters in Spain and that is like 20 hours max
Just took her to the airplane bathroom and changed it
Your baby is soo beautiful, she could be a baby model.
Know any baby model agents? :)
Hi. ❤
Hi
Thank you for sharing this! I hope our trip is as good as yours for our little one ٩(^‿^)۶
I hope so too!
Is the bellies considered liquid?
The bellies are solid dried fruits. So no. But even real fruit isn't considered a liquid
@@YellowProductions so you were still able to bring it on the plane? Just making sure
@@xxbluesky77xxG yup!
im glad i watched this because im scared to bring my kid on a flight.

She's the Curious Princess! 😀
Was enjoying the tips up until the African Safari part. I'm guessing they are not "first world" huh?
Where do u live....our kid's should be friends 💕

Do NOT buy toys from daiso... they recall so much, I would never buy anything for a toddler from them.
why is she spitting up still ?
