My trip went smooth sailing until the TSA agent put my son’s car seat in the X-ray machine and it got stuck 🤦🏻‍♀️ they had to close the whole lane down and take the machine completely apart. We had an absolutely horrible first and only experience flying Spirit with our boys on our most recent vacation. We paid extra to have our seats together and the airline spread us all throughout the plane making each of us sit alone- including our toddler and they got upset when we told them to fix it. The flight home was canceled twice after we had gone through security and got to the gate and our seats we’re screwed up again. It might be nice to save a few extra dollars on tickets, but you pay for it in other areas. I am appalled that flight attendant told you to hand over your sweet baby and turned an already stressful situation into something so much more than it needed to be. Sure it would be difficult to wrangle the two of them in such a small space, but personally I wouldn’t want either of my children out of my reach and especially with a complete stranger. I can’t imagine having to go through that!

    • @thepixiedustedmom
      @thepixiedustedmom  Год назад +2

      I'm so sorry that happened to you guys!! We haven't payed extra for assigned seats and they put us together on all of our flights so far. It's a requirement that they put children under 12 with their parents so they shouldn't have done that to you guys! She was very kind and just doing her job since there are only two oxygen masks in the bathroom I understand the rule, it wasn't fun but we made it. We were also experiencing quite a bit of turbulence so it was the safer place for her at the time.

    One other weird inflight safety thing (from a former flight attendant) is you can’t baby wear during take off or landing, so don’t let your baby fall asleep on you while boarding because you will have to take them out until you’re in the air 😢 same for landing

      @@thepixiedustedmom It’s a little bit morbid but in a worst case scenario if there was a crash and something happened to mom they would want to be able to get baby to safety as quickly as possible.
