What's your number one life saver for traveling with a toddler? 😃
You had to ask yourself if you needed the stroller? That was mad delulu sis. We always need that. Take photos of all your valuable so the airline can replace it. Agree with the wagon idea. All those shopping bags fit too 😅😅😅😅
I really appreciate this video talking about what worked and what didnt work! Thabk you.
Awesome video! A few things I would expand on. I have always had extra snacks - but I would much rather have more than less here - can always bring them to the next outing or the plane ride back even. Regarding toy/ activities - novelty is key - inexpensive quiet things they’ve never seen before but you know they’re capable of are the best (lacing toy, water wow type books, reusable sticker books, magnets, window clings) avoid anything with wheels or small parts that aren’t connected or easily found. A meltdown over a car that rolled down under the seats would be no fun. With wagons - do your research based on airline and destination - each airline has variable policies on whether they count as baggage, the size allowed, and whether they can be gate checked. Plus, consider your destination, they aren’t allowed in Disneyland for example so you would want to double check that. Toileting - make sure they aren’t going to flip out going back into pull-ups - if you are 100% potty trained and then ask a toddler to wear one “just in case” it could cause a complete meltdown. Same with using a public toilet. Bring post-it’s to cover the automatic flush and maybe the disposable toilet seat covers or foldable potty seat. If you haven’t had your newly toilet trained kiddo use a public restroom before - take a trip to the library or a park with one to “practice” - seriously a breakdown over this could be a problem for the whole trip and beyond. Also - while her kid was adorable with the suitcase, I promise I’ve seen this go the other way, so if you go this route versus them having their own little backpack please make sure you have a plan B (a strap that could clip it to your own suitcase for example)
Kai is so adorable!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I’ll be travelling with my 2 under 2 in a few weeks.
Thank you for that tip about the wagon! I would have never thought of that!
You’re welcome! I wish I had one myself, it was so much easier. 🥰
Super helpful video! My girl is 2.5 years, toilet trained but I’m so worried about toileting on our upcoming trip, so this was great 😊
I'm travelling with my 2 and 3 years old soon by myself, this was so helpful. Thank you
This is such a helpful video! Thank you!!
Thanks for creating this video! It was so very helpful. I’m traveling by airplane soon with a 3 and 6 year by myself and this will be their first time flying. I’m trying to be extra prepared. You’ve shared some great info.
You’re so welcome! Good luck on your trip, I know they’ll do just fine. And thank you for watching. ❤️😊
Thank you for the video. It was very helpful ❤
Great video, Abie! Flying with a toddler can be challenging, but your tips and insights based on your personal experience are helpful. Using a stroller or a wagon is a smart choice for easy transportation. Giving your toddler their own carry-on suitcase keeps them engaged and responsible. Coloring books and a tablet are great entertainment options. Packing disinfectant wipes is essential for hygiene. Thanks for sharing your experience and valuable insights. Keep up the great work!
He’s such a cutie! I’m so excited to travel with my son who will be 14 months during our first flight ✈️
Loved the video, tks!
Great ideas! Thank you for posting this! Prepping for our first trip. Our son will be 4 when we go.
Thank you for watching! Enjoy your trip. ☺️
Loved your video. I will be traveling with my grandson next week. Where did you place the stroller on the airplane?
These are great tips!! X
Thank you 😊
Thank you
Can you share more on the wagon up until where we’re you able use it. I never seen wagon be used in airport.
Helpful video! Did you have to pay more to take the stroller on board?
The wagon works awesomely and frees up your hands for the kid
Yes it does! We ended up getting one. Great for walking to the park too. ☺️
Can wagon be checked gate for free?
@@nancynguyen4353 southwest yes not sure how the others are.
@@Tinapaparika thank you 🙏
Very nice video.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for your video. I was wondering if you knew this or not. Are we able to bring on small milk cartons for toddlers?
Great video, thanks for advice. How strict was Hawaian Airlines regarding 2 year old toddlers masking policy?
You’re welcome! They were not too strict but it all depends on the flight crew you get. On the first flight going to Hawaii, they never asked my son to wear his mask the entire flight. But on the flight coming back, they did ask him to put it on in the beginning but didn’t seem to care much later when he took it off to eat and didn’t put it back on afterwards.
@@AbieKamara thanks for the insight! Any useful tips on how to make him wear one? We have an important long haul flight coming up and I'm dreading it because I can't get him to wear one for more than 5-10 min.
@@MaximillianTiberius We started it at home … having him wear it while we wore it too. We tried to make it fun and he got used to it.
@@AbieKamara Thank you Mrs. Kamara
Tip: use a post it to cover the toilet censor thing.
How do you change the diaper on a flight and where do you dispose of it?
Luckily for us my son only peed in his diaper so we were able to change it right there at our seats and disposed of it in the bathroom trash (this is where the flight attendant told us to dispose of it). I’m guessing a # 2 diaper would be changed in the bathroom but I’m not sure how comfortable that would be.
How did your kiddo sleep? On our first flight we did not bring a car seat and my kid could not get comfortable. We are thinking of bringing one for our next flight in hopes that it will help her be more comfortable.
Did you bring milk? I'm thinking my daughter would ask for milk because we will be flying for 16hrs.
Did you need a car seat or a harness for his seat? My daughter is two and this video is very helpful.
Hi! Thanks for watching. 😊 I didn’t need the car seat or harness. The seat belt was enough.
@@AbieKamara Thank you. This is my first trip as a new mom with my daughter and mother. I’m excited. Thanks again.
@@clucas5563 how exciting! It’s going to go great! Wishing you a safe and fun trip. 😊
@@AbieKamara thank you
I’m going soon. Similar place, and 2 toddlers. Did you bring a car seat?
Hi 😃I didn’t because the shuttle services provided car seats for an extra charge (around $15) and I didn’t want to carry a stroller and car seat around the airport. Also we walked to most places once we were in Hawaii. You can also request car seats with rental cars. However we ended up not using the car seats; long story with the shuttle service we booked. We just used the seatbelts.
@@AbieKamara Thank you for the fast response. We will be with family, I want to explore and be safe but I don’t want the extra stuff.
Did you bring a car seat? I have twin 3 year olds
Very good question
You have pretty hair.
Take too long to get to the point
Did you bring milk? I'm thinking my daughter would ask for milk because we will be flying for 16hrs.
I bought milk after I got through security at one of the stores. I wish I knew what to call them, Lol. Someone told me they let milk through as long as you say it’s for your child but I decided to just bring an empty container and buy the milk after security. It was a risk because I wasn’t 100% sure the airport stores sold milk. But also I figured some of the coffee shops would sell milk too.
