    Chad, when I was working with those Deustch connectors sometimes the factory insertion/removal tool didn't always work correctly. What we did instead was make up our own removal tool from an 8p nail. We sanded down the tip of the nail until it would go inside of the connector and then a sharp tap with a hammer and the wire would come out unscathed. We used this on 22AWG so you will need to adjust sizing for 18 or 16 AWG wire. If you ever need a removal tool and don't have one handy... Oh, and by the way 2.0 readers are just fine. I use 2.25's or sometimes 2.50's. Take care!

    I sent Paul and Matt email awhile ago (before Matt got his controller from Badlands) and suggested they use a wireless crane controller for the winches. By connecting the hardwired winch controls to the crane controller there would only be 1 wireless signal to deal with. I thought it would at least be worth a look. For Paul, he would also need electric actuated solenoids to make his work.

    • @DarkFiber23
      @DarkFiber23 Год назад +1

      Agreed. The Harbor Freight solution is super hacky. The RF signals are interfering with each other. They're not designed to be operated simultaneously like that.
      I understand the HF sponsorship, but the control solution just isn't right for this application.
