Chad, watching your boy do bodywork was amazing at such a young age. Well done teaching wiring and bodywork among many others. Those seem to be the two most difficult when coming to automotive specialties.
Also whoever does your editing with added information typed in at the top of the picture while watching the video at the same time, that's an added bonus. 👌 I've been enjoying your work both on your channel and whenever you pop into Fab Rats or Matt's offroad. You sir are important, and impressive wherever you go. Just the other day I had to sit down and rewatch the couple episodes where you received the truck from Paul. You deserve it and much more in the future. 😊All smiles from Anderson Indiana.

there were 2 easier ways to unload that roll back. #1 use the dollies on the back of the wrecker. this by far would have been the easiest. #2 shake the wrecker off the roll back. Both would have been less work than what you did. Was a good test for the crawler wrecker though.

    • @chadsfab
      @chadsfab  Год назад

We could have easily shook the wrecker off of the roll back. We wanted to use it as a test for the rat rod wrecker to see how it handled that much weight. We did everything wrong just to see how it would react and handle abuse.

Sadly, many of us didn't have great role models and we mimic what we were modeled to our detriment.
The good news and bad news is that it's a choice and it's teachable - IF you want to be a student. Most people don't.
DBT is one place to start along with meditation and prayer and counseling and finding a mentor.
It's practice and more practice. It's role playing to get your mind and your body familiar with what a controlled and calm response looks and feels like.
It's a mind shift from mindless reacting to mindful responding. It's practicing and role playing and filling your quiver full of healthy prepared and practiced responses to triggers.
It's a redefinition and interpretation of what a situation or confrontation "means" instead of what it is. It's deciding to get out of a defensive mindset which starts with being at peace with yourself and your Creator. So many people walk around with really, really horrible views of themselves. The voice in their head is screaming condemnation at them 24/7. So much so that when a situation that comes up questions their worth or credibility or value or validity, their immediate reaction is one of defensive attack instead of a calm confidence in who you are and the strength and the control that you have in any situation.
Anger is fear. Start seeing it that way and start looking at what is so fearful. You'll be shocked when you're honest about it that it usually comes down to pride and/or the assumed loss of face when it's not about that at all.
Those that are at peace with themselves and their Creator are the least likely to react in anger and the most likely to remain calm -understanding that the situation isn't a statement about them or their value. EVEN IF the other party wants to make it a personal attack of your value doesn't mean it's true. If you get pissed off you're agreeing with them. Those that are in control simply sidestep that flaming arrow and it flies right past. It may not be fun or even comfortable at the time, but it sure is peaceful to know that you don't have to accept every flaming arrow that is shot your way.

I work in low voltage security. I'm often required to completely plan out the needs of a project down to the last contact, as well as providing for future-proofing as well as troubleshooting & repair that may be required in the future. It's quite an endeavor to have to plan out wire gauges, amperage requirements, load limits, battery backup requirements, future additions and have all that fit into the budget as well as making it, functional, user friendly, and understandable.
If that's not enough, the client is counting on you to to your best work for them, and have the work-hardened clairvoyance to anticipate problems as well as to suggest ideas and alternatives to meet their objectives.
This level of planning and dedication is not lost on me and I find it quite interesting as I can relate.
Of course, it all makes a hell of a difference when you give a damn about what you produce.

Chad, all joking aside, you are a starseed, sir. You shine like a beacon to those who need to learn how to reduce stress. You have taught me some important lessons in my observation of your personal conduct. I of the things that I have learned is that if you have to raise your voice to make your point, then your point is probably too weak to stand on its own. Another is: "Those who demand respect the most are those who deserve it the least." ✊

I still think Paul would have been miles ahead if he'd built al the gauges into a removable gauge panel that would pop all the instruments out of the dash with just a few screws. That would allow changing, or repairing the gauges on the table and given a lot more access uner the dash for other trouble shooting. I converted my entire RV Dash to do that. I have 3 different pop out panels, mounted with 1/4 turn Camlock fasteners for easy & fast trouble shooting or modifying.

Kaden should get in front of the camera more, out side of Chad he's my favorite. He is just like his Dad you never can tell when he's gonna say something funny but when he does it is definitely funny. 😊
I'm fairly new to this channel and thoroughly enjoying every video past and present, thank you for going through the work it takes to share your lives.

Paul needs to put his wrecker head to head against Matt's "WLORR" and blow the regular horn... Let Matt respond with his horn thinking he's won and then hit the air horn... LOL

A Fab Rats Vehicle getting a paint job, is Paul feeling OK? 😀 🤣😂😅😆 is the Wrecker Games bringing out a side of Paul we have never seen? 🤔 🙂🙂🙂

Yep, a little bit of paint for the fenders and hood and some sharkhide to protect all of the bare metal. Look for it on Friday's vid.

A true story about a airhorn I was driving trucks, and I was running with a friend who had air horns mounted right behind the cab on the passenger side. A car was pulled over. I was behind him. He blew his train horn. The woman stood straight up in the air on the passenger side, I know she Peed all over her self and I felt bad for her, but could not stop laughing

If the color of the Fab Rat wrecker hasn't been chosen yet, they should have a contest for all of the internet viewers to pick the color. Don't ask me how, I don't have any idea. But if it could happen, it would be awesome.

The sheet metal of the wrecker will all be the same as the cab. All of the bare metal will remain bare but will be treated with a protectant.
