Palpatine "listened" to Anakin only to learn how he could use him for his own purpose, which was to rule the galaxy. He regarded Anakin expendable just like Dooku, and was willing to sacrifise him at the end of Episode VI when he saw a better replacement in Luke.

The Jedi treated Anakin in the worst way possible. They went on about the 'Chosen One' prophecy stating that they only trained him cause of that + Midichlorian count but on the other hand they always distrusted him because of his lack of control on his emotions and quick temper. Recipe for disaster as you get a cocky unstable jedi with distrust towards the council.
Mace Windu should’ve trust Anakin for telling him Palpatine was a Sith Lord. Anakin was given the task to spy on Palpatine and when he finally did the job, He should’ve let Anakin join him with Kit Fisto and the other Jedi Masters to confront Palpatine. Mace Windu shouldn’t have attempt to kill Darth Sidious, he should’ve just cut off Sidious’s hands, and he would face trial. Anakin was right when he said “It’s not the Jedi way” to kill. All of this could’ve happen, if and only if, Mace Windu just trusted Anakin.
You know since the clone wars I began to wonder: did yoda consider anakin a friend? Funny how the order fell just bc it's leaders fail to help a boy who wanted to be free ( yet jedi denied him even that)
I don't think that's strictly true. Anakin wanted to be free, but he also wanted more than that. He wanted to be connected to others. This is what drives his reluctance to say goodbye to his mother, his lust for Padme and his surrogate father/son relationship with Palpatine. As a kind of measure against such emotions, the Jedi try to minimize those connections which can be exploited and lead them to the dark side. Anakin simply refused to curtail his emotions. He used them to get more powerful, but they were ultimately his downfall. Because he did the opposite of letting his mother go, he lost a piece of himself in that Tuskan slaughter. He fully indulged in his relationship with Padme. He exhibited a range of his emotions he couldn't control before the Clone Wars even started (love, fear, arrogance, anger, jealousy, hate, anxiety...). More than freedom, Anakin wanted power. His ambition started from a good place (of wanting to free people), to being personal (never wanting to lose people he loved), to being for the sake of power (because he felt he was entitled to it). I'm not sure how the Jedi could've stopped Anakin basically being who he was.
None of the Jedi except obi wan and qui Gon thought Anakin should've been accepted into the order. He was too old, he had mixed powerful emotions that distracted and ate at him, and obi wan was too inexperienced to have his own Padawan.
Obi Wan: Master Windu didn't his Astromechs save ur life Obi Wan: Master Yoda didn't he had your back when you went on that adventure to follow Qui Gons voice Obi Wan: let us not forget we expelled his innocent Padawan and he still remained loyal to us Yoda: yeah but Fuck that
@@abdulazimnaushad Obi Wan and Plo were the only ones who believed Ahsoka was innocent and plus she was off world with Anakin at the time of the bombing so that would of exonerated her
Yoda should have done SOMETHING when anakin and him spoke in private. That was a clear cry for help, and it revealed much potential for evil and alot of pain. He should have prepared or reacted with the help of other jedi or at the very least tried to help anakin out
What more could he have said ? He basically told anakin stop letting your fear control your thoughts and train your mind to let go of the things you fear to lose there’s so many ways that he could’ve interpreted that but I definitely understood yodas point.
Nah. Yoda actually cared about and trusted Anakin to some degree, but not to the extent like Obi-Wan or Ahsoka. I mean Yoda was the very Jedi who knighted Anakin, he was the Jedi who assigned a padawan to Anakin and tried to help him learn to let go via his mentorship of her. Also Anakin trusted Yoda to a degree as well. He had Yoda's back when he went on a spiritual journey after learning of Qui-Gon's becoming one with the force. Also remember when Anakin had his nightmares about Padme he went to Yoda for help, showing the degree of trust he had in him, even though Anakin felt dissatisfied and upset by Yoda's words.
The blindness of the Jedis at full display here, relying on the prophecy instead of their feeling. This being the reason why Qui-Gon would distance himself from the current jedi teachings.
WHAT? Qui-Gon was relying on nothing but prophecy when he brought Anakin to the council in the first place. He was going to disregard them on training Anakin. I don't know how it would've turned out but Qui-Gon didn't have to deal with the situation they were in. War and politics weren't on the Jedi to-do list. They were manipulated by the master manipulator who engineered a war where he controlled both armies and propaganda. I'm not sure how Qui-Gon would've navigated those waters.
Obi-Wan: "With all due respect Master, is he not the ch-" Windu: "I DONT REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GOTDAMN THING!.......................... you were saying?"
I really would like if they made a what if movie/trilogy where Anakin doesn’t turn to the dark side. Growing up watching specially clone wars made me really attached to Anakin, I loved the relationship he developed with obi wan and all other characters, I loved the romance he had with padme and how much he cared for her, it really broke my heart how things ended for him, although I don’t really trust Disney after what they did in the sequels
Only if Yoda and mace treated Anakin like he was one of the master jedi, which he certainly had the credentials and skills to be, the sith would never have taken over again. They literally watched him grow up in the temple, how could you not treat him with more love and affection for goodness sake. I get very emotional when my preschoolers graduate and move on each year and I only spend around 10 months with them!
Man if anakin hadn't pulled up on mace windu putting work in on Sidius he could have had a happy life instead of being a cringe, angry , monster and had a life with padme but noooooo dummy had to go and ruin his chances being naive.
Windoo: It's very dangerous putting them together Obi Wan: so will put them together then? Yoda: the Darkside clouds everything, yeah put them together we will.
Unorthodox being: Wanting to save the lives of his fellow clone troopers and jedi alike. At least according to the clone wars, he disobeyed orders along with ahsoka to rescue plenty of jedi and clones. The jedi order would have left most of them for dead.
That was not balanced, yoda had only a few more years of life he died 25 years after revenge of the sith, obi wan was not even close to Vaders power, he barely defeated Anakin in revenge of the sith. Thats not balanced, 2-2 its not the balance

the fear, in the end, no matter who feels it, makes it all wrong
At least we get to see the Wolfe pack at the end
Tippy Art Productions lol nope, that is the 41st Elite Corps, they were the ones in Kashyyyk ya dingus. Also the 104th wasn’t even a thing when EPIII came out. They were created for TCW.
U see if Anakin and Kenobi went to madalore as Maul intended this would’ve never happened, They probably would’ve caught maul and maul would’ve told them the knowledge they seeked
I miss this old star wars feeling the prequels and originals gave us, the new Star wars films and shows are really lacking that feeling
And after all the hate prequels got.
That’s because the sequels aren’t old yet you ignorant child
At :37 pause Mace Windu's face
How did I never notice the BARC speeders arriving in the base until now?
0:23 ! Building in background looks like the later Imperial Med center/ Palpatines Med Center where anakin gets his „treatment“.
found the scene i was looking for
Mace windu : I don't trust him mother f-ucker.
He did bring balance to the force, the Jedi our numbered the sith. So when anakin and the empire killed off most of the jedi. He did what the prophecy said.
Fr I watched these so many times it’s like they created him they knew how powerful he was and knew he had anger in him they pushed him away
Those two clones in the back the whole trip: "Why do they get to sit down?"
They really earned their fate
Disney: This isn't can-
Windu: I DON'T REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GODDAMN THING
.s.d.
“You were saying?”
Anakin is the biggest rule breaker in the order he’s in no position to talk
My favorite part of this great scene is right after yoda speaks and mace windu nods like he already knew what was bouta happen
i love scenes that show the backgrounds of the war like in this one
I simply like clone trooper armor and the old Lego mini figures from ROTS are simply wonderful
Obi-wan words...
He formed an attachment.
Obi Wan was the only Jedi who was not jealous of the power Anakin possessed.
I am not brave for politics.
5 beers later = This Comment Section.
Obi Wan: Master Windu didn't his Astromechs save ur life
Obi Wan: Master Yoda didn't he had your back when you went on that adventure to follow Qui Gons voice
Obi Wan: let us not forget we expelled his innocent Padawan and he still remained loyal to us
Yoda: yeah but Fuck that
Yep they mistreated Ahsoka too which only made Anakin more angry.
@@abdulazimnaushad Obi Wan and Plo were the only ones who believed Ahsoka was innocent and plus she was off world with Anakin at the time of the bombing so that would of exonerated her
Reminder that anakin in fact did put an end to the sith by killing sideous.
0:40 They would've fallen out of the gunship 😂😂😂
The chosen one has fallen.
YODA💯🐐
Yoda should have done SOMETHING when anakin and him spoke in private. That was a clear cry for help, and it revealed much potential for evil and alot of pain. He should have prepared or reacted with the help of other jedi or at the very least tried to help anakin out
What more could he have said ? He basically told anakin stop letting your fear control your thoughts and train your mind to let go of the things you fear to lose there’s so many ways that he could’ve interpreted that but I definitely understood yodas point.
he was too much old, it was a mistake from qui gonn
''A prophecy that misread by Disney could have been.''
It is funny to think how some people believe that Yoda really cared about Anakin. He always felt as much contempt for him as Windu.
Even after Naboo, it was YODA who STILL didn't want to train Anakin.
He did not dislike Anakin he just wasn’t sure about him
Mace is partly responsible for anakins downfall.
No he isn’t. His words were completely true.
I can’t believe this movie will be 20 years old in 3 years
The blindness of the Jedis at full display here, relying on the prophecy instead of their feeling.
Obi-Wan: "With all due respect Master, is he not the ch-"
Windu: "I DONT REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GOTDAMN THING!.......................... you were saying?"
The crazy thing is the prophecy was misread by them, because even though Anakin did bring balance he did it in a way that the Jedi weren't expecting.
0:12 A alien brushing his hair😂
Only if Yoda and mace treated Anakin like he was one of the master jedi, which he certainly had the credentials and skills to be, the sith would never have taken over again. They literally watched him grow up in the temple, how could you not treat him with more love and affection for goodness sake. I get very emotional when my preschoolers graduate and move on each year and I only spend around 10 months with them!
Anakin was the kid in the other class that you barely knew or care about.
Chills
Man if anakin hadn't pulled up on mace windu putting work in on Sidius he could have had a happy life instead of being a cringe, angry , monster and had a life with padme but noooooo dummy had to go and ruin his chances being naive.
Mace: "I don't think the boy can handle it..."
Narrator: He did, indeed, not handle it.
Love how yoda slicks back his hair but he has none lmao
Windoo: It's very dangerous putting them together Obi Wan: so will put them together then? Yoda: the Darkside clouds everything, yeah put them together we will.
Windu was right as usual.
The goats
Obi wan you know what ive become....
Darth vader
He *really* *was* going to destroy the Sith and bring balance... just 3 episodes later, Yoda.
Obi one and Windu bought me food and drinks for the night lol
0:21-oh he will...
Along with all the jedi First
My favourite scene, this is
Bad movie taste, you have
@@antonimartinez9961 bullshit, you are
my too
He will not let me down....
Darth Vader: "ROFL!(heavy breathing) "
Yoda has watched all sequels.
According to this discussion, Disney throw the prophecy to the trashcan with the new trilogy...
The prophecy said the Sith would be destroyed... but it never said it would stay destroyed.
Wonder why anakin turn evil🤔 no trust
Panther123ism well you can't blame them. Anakin jedi's ways were unorthodox. He wasn't a normal to other Jedi.
he turned evil because he couldn't control his anger - and because he was selfish and arrogant
kathy m He turned to the dark side much more because of Padme. "The fear of lost is a path to the dark side"
Unorthodox being: Wanting to save the lives of his fellow clone troopers and jedi alike. At least according to the clone wars, he disobeyed orders along with ahsoka to rescue plenty of jedi and clones.
The jedi order would have left most of them for dead.
kathy m psh the Jedi order and the council is the be. Blamed as well
Anakin did bring balance to the force after he join the dark side, 2 sith ( Vader and the emperor ) and 2 Jedi ( yoda and obi)
That was not balanced, yoda had only a few more years of life he died 25 years after revenge of the sith, obi wan was not even close to Vaders power, he barely defeated Anakin in revenge of the sith. Thats not balanced, 2-2 its not the balance
@@filipecasanova6719 is way more balance than the ratio of 10,000 to 2 or 3 before order 66
Palpatine's prophecy is what Yoda is implying.
Is there anyplace in Star Wars lore where they give more background on "the prophecy" and what that's all about?
The Jedi try to bring peace, but they never actually spread their teachings to the common or poor folk, just those of high status.
They take in any force sensitive child, no matter race or class
No.one trusted anakin...the Jedi were to slow to see this coming
I really never understand what the Jedi Order would have done if Anakin revealed he was with Padme? Boot him out? He's one of the most powerful people in the Galaxy.
True, he was too much of an asset in the war and too popular for them to kick him out during the clone wars, I think they would’ve done it after the clone wars if they wanted to kick him out of the order for breaking the code
YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE
It was said you would destroy sith not join them
