Felipe García thanks man, I really appreciate it! I love this band and really enjoy recording too. Though I have to admit, there’s a time and a place for Creep too! 😆
Oh My God! KILLER!! I hate to say it but your version is better than some of Radiohead’s earlier versions of Identikit. Loved it-but wish there was a longer guitar solo at the end. I don’t like that Jonny’s solo was short- I could jam to that riff a while.. Brilliant!
“A moon shaped pool, dancing clothes, won’t let me in, and now I know, it’s never gonna be, oh me.” What is Ed’s line when Thom comes in? Something like, “want to see you, and I need to…” great cover!
@@JoeEdelmann3 Thanks man, that's kind of you to say! Needless to say I've seen quite a few of your covers already - hope you keep up the good work, excited to see what you're going to cover next!
hey man, this is great, I can't believe i just discovered this crazy fusion version! any chance you could cover cut a hole, an unreleased track that debuted on the 2012 tour? it would be so good to hear from you. love your stuff, can't believe you only have 30k followers!
Well I'm late for this, but I am so confused by the way you made the drum machine fight the acoustic drum set. Confused in a good way, gives the song a personality I never knew it could be given because I think the original was in an odd timing. Or it's just me not listening with headphones That doesn't really matter though. all that matters is your accuracy being beyond godlike and your passion for the band making you hit all the spots in all the right places. I envy this level of craftsmanship and I wish I could be doing what you're doing with other bands (and with them too). I love your stuff so much, so please never give up on music. You're a maestro.
I think I've seen pictures of people crying on your telecaster guitar. and I'm struggling to remember. and in the end I managed to remember that it was a picture on the AMNESIAC album, right? :D
What pedal effect is that for the guitar part shown in 2:29, and 3:16? The sound first initially comes in at 2:22. Very ambient and atmospheric I’d love to be able to recreate that. Also the synth sound for the keys is prime!
Juno Karah on the electronic kit I used samples of one of their live performances, and the live kit I don’t remember exactly, but I’ve often used Waves Renaissance Bass on kicks and basses to add the sub frequency content!
Juno Karah no problem! I actually just posted a cover of “Has Ended” (along with a demo of a cool, cheap little mixer) if you’re interested! ruclips.net/video/5hf18AUFcDA/видео.html
Man this song is an amazing track that got kinda butchered through the studio recording. The live versions have so much more energy. You did a great job of capturing that energy.
Please do a version they used to play live before it got out on amsp. I mean it sounds different and I like the old one better. Still a great job tho, would be hard to tell your voice from Yorke's on live
This is awesome, I have just one question, original 2012 live version was in F, studio version F#, are you playing it in F? I'm interested because in our band we're trying it in F#.
Jack Pettinger thanks! Yes I’m using the F key from the original live version (which also modulates up a key during the bridge then back down), always liked how that one sounded
@@JoeEdelmann3 You mean in the synth section? When we play I switch from bass and play the synth and then jump back on the bass. I play the synth bits in F# (F# A, C# E, F# A etc etc.) You think I need to go up to G for that bit?
Jack Pettinger just before the synth section! During the broken hearts make it rain build up (it’s actually mostly centered around a B major chord I think , so more of a noticeable key change to and from Fm than in the studio version, where F#m goes up to B)
Ha limun I really like it, in fact it took me a little while to get onboard with the studio version. That’s why I did this version with the original drumbeat and synth!

Favorite song off of Moon Shaped Pool. You did it justice. Keep going.
Great. Thank you for bringing back that original melody by Ed O'brien
This is the best Radiohead cover I’ve ever seen. Love the combination of Thom and Ed’s backing vocals from both versions.
I don't understand why they changed the synth interlude. It was amazing. You nailed it, man!
This video inspires me to learn Identikit delay tricks
“A moon shaped pool, dancing clothes, won’t let me in, and now I know, it’s never gonna be, oh me.” What is Ed’s line when Thom comes in? Something like, “want to see you, and I need to…” great cover!
Yeah! At least that's how I heard it 😂
This is really great man, definitely feels like the best of both worlds regarding the two versions!

Oooooooh the sints were so good, nailed guitar at the end
Very nice cover
Ed’s part at the end 😮 😮😮😮

This is so fucking good bruv
Love this cover of Identikit, must be the best on RUclips? You got every sound absolutely spot on (well 99.9%) which is quite incredible
This mashup worked really well. I can't decide if I like the vocals or guitars more.
I am here once again to say: holy shit! You're so so so talented and I love watching these
A tab for the solo would be really useful, what a great cover!

You managed to keep the best parts of both I love it

Carter Hamlet delay! Lots of delay! (One into another, with slightly different delay times so they clash and turn into a repeat soup/sustain)
it's sick man

Is the beat in this constantly shifting or are they just changing the emphasis? genuinely can't wrap my head around it
Mike Carpenter I think just changing emphasis with syncopation - they seem to do that a lot though ... (little by little live version comes to mind)
Yeah. The backing vocals come in on one so just count from there.
That key change would have been the stuff of legend. I'm seriously sitting here getting heated how they fucked it up.
