If you are going to bring in a orchestra I expect the song to exceed the original song by terms of length, not be shortened. Honestly this song could have been a killer 10 minute piece with the right orchestral composer, but oh wells.

The problem is, I know it would be worse for her if she survived. Sure, she was pretty much Max's reason for living and the only one she could ever talk to about what happened, but think about how Chloe would have felt knowing everyone was dead because of her? She's too kind and not selfish enough to have been truly okay with Max choosing her and letting everyone else die. She knew that the only way they could be saved was if Max didn't interfere in the girl's bathroom on the first day. Chloe would probably blame herself for the rest of her life. She would see herself as the reason everyone was dead. And maybe she would blame Max. It would have an extremely negative impact on their relationship and they probably wouldn't be as close any more. Both choices suck and are extremely painful, but sometimes you have to think about how it will impact the character you're trying to save. I'd say that one of the worst parts of choosing to save the town is that Max will never have gotten the chance to really see her again. Max will have all of these memories, but Chloe will die thinking that no one cared about her and that Max had abandoned her. Not to mention that Max won't ever get to see her best friend again.

@ZASCAtube According to Wikipedia, the Spanish Sahara is a territory in the Western Sahara that has been under dispute between its native populations, Morocco and Mauritania. It was one of the last remnants of the Spanish Empire, before they abandoned it under international pressure. Maybe Foals were using it as a bit of a metaphor for a sort of no-man's land.
I'll upload a re-version of this with the intro added I think. I do like the strings added to the background though. Barely noticable over the original, but still GOOD.
they still should have it as the full length version, and the guitar solo should have the second guitar aswell, it cuts off before it comes in. i love it though.
I would have liked a more prominent role of the orchestra as such collaborations are so unique, you have to put them together with care. Not that the song isn't awesome, it's this record that has made me a fan of the group in the first time!

I think they should have gotten a full orchestra and 'covered' the song, more so than enhance the build up with everything goin. and maybe get the strings to do the guitar bits :P

The strings would have been a good addition if the length was stlil there, but they sound forced in such a small period of time. Shahraman Too many plotholes in that game to be honest. The actions you take in the "save Arcadia" ending wouldn't actually save Arcadia, but they do because plot.
I hate to say this because I absolutely love both this song and orchestral music...but this version is not working for me. They clash because they are just too different in style and feel! They made a good effort to combine them, but putting electronic and orchestral together just diminishes the quality of both. Separate, they sound better in their own ways. That's just my opinion though.
The best thing about this song was the simplicity. It's now over thought and quite frankly dull. Get over Spanish Sahara! there are better songs on the album.

it doesnt sound like much of a change but it has a really amazing effect on the song. especially in when its first noticable.

I like the strings, but the song just isn't the same without the amazing buildup. Feels a bit rushed, in my opinion.
Foals used to be really original and distinctive, but now it looks like the record label is trying to make them into a Coldplay clone band.
