Very few artists sound live, the same as they sound on an album. This guy… this guy is just astoundingly out here making no difference between studio and stage. Absolutely love his music. Feels like the calm before a storm, and the silence of a storm ending.
I would argue your comment but in a positive way. He sounds better live then studio recordings. By no means am I saying the studio recordings are bad - far from it, in fact. There is a small pool of musicians / bands that sound better live then recorded and to be apart of that rarity is quiet possibly one of the best things that can be offered to music lovers. He "only" made me go on purpose from Portugal to London to see and hear him on this day that I will never forget... My soul came full and I still had the privilege of bringing two albums autographed by Ry X! My wife was about 7 months pregnant when we saw him in 2021 at the Disney Concert Hall. Our boy was kicking and we think he still recognizes Ry’s music from that night. One of the best shows we’ve ever been to.
Awesome! I travelled from Canada to see him play that night in LA, also with an orchestra. That night of music impacted me so heavily, we were so lucky.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. How many does it take to heal a ‘broken’ adult? Therapy, art therapy, music therapy, somatic movement, a loving partner, a loving son. Reaching out to those whom we have been distant, reaching out to those whom one would like to know. Listening, really listening to yourself. Trusting someone for it to pay off. Being embraced by your parent. They are each individual and equally loved. The world is vibrant and dark, aromatic and revolting, lit with life and in mourning. It is all beautiful. Don’t hide it.
