+Kira Highwind Did it also bug you that we don't even get the chance to give him a kick or something once David helped us? Damn it! I would have been happy with just painting the lenses of his glasses black just to scare the crap out of him once he came too! I dunno, after all he'd been getting away with all this time I felt like we could at least have the option of getting a little bit of pay back. But I had my eye on that shifty bastard from the moment he said that crap about framing in a dark corner, it was slut shaming Kate that convinced me for sure.
I wish we could have had more than two endings though and really thought the end episode would be a bit more dynamic and varied to the others. At the same time, the choice was for-shadowed, I just thought you might have two greyer options that lie in the middle if you made the right choices, but the Chloe vs. Arcadia Bay ultimatum works very powerfully with the narrative so it's still and overwhelming success of a story. And they did really well considering the budget problems: I cried like a baby with colic!!
What did you choose? I went for Arcadia bay first, then did the other one just to see what happens.

Yeah, there's so much depth to the game so I know what you mean. I choice arcadia for the same reason I euthanised chloe in the alternate timeline, it was her dying wish, and like you said, she's pretty much spent the entire game just barely escaping death thanks to max.. This way everything comes back full circle, and I think we have to respect chloes choice.

I mean you leave the city without looking after your friends and family and do you really think that is better? :( In every episode you tried to be a friend and assistant for everyone and in the end you let them die by a fcking tornado? :S

The sad part of Chloe's death is that she died in that timeline with hatred--to David, William, and maybe even Max and Rachel for leaving her out of the blue. She died without knowing Max's feelings. Ugh, this is making me cry again. It's just super sad. I wasn't disappointed at all but it left me scarred.
Her soul knows. At least, that's what I'll believe to prevent myself from sobbing again.

before i get all too sappy here, I'd like to thank LiS and DontNod for teaching us a valuable lesson. Certainly, there are things that happen inevitably and somehow, we wanted to go back just to correct things or be with our special person/s before they go. Max was fortunate to be given the chance to turn back time and be with Chloe eventhough it's just a week. She was given a "gift" to rectify her mistake for not keeping in touch with Chloe and make it memorable for the both of them, regardless of the timeline.

My guess after what happened after this ending:
- Max visits Joyce on a regular basis
- Max creates a bigger bond with Warren and Kate
- Mac is overall more confident
- She semi befriends Victoria by telling her not to be so insecure
- Frank sells drugs either less or no more
- Davids patience increased
- There are now more security cameras in Blackwell
Unless you fucked up everything and kate is dead things arent as good with warren and victoria still hates you.
- Kate is probably Max's new bestie - Max never attained another photoshoot contest- Max lost her power forever- Nathan commits suicide in jail

My guess after what happened after this ending:
- Max is fucking traumatized by all the shit she pointlessly went through and about which she can't talk to anyone
- Max becomes increasingly unstable, ending up a sobbing mess whenever she sees a butterfly and incorehently screaming at Victoria for "being the reason Kate died" even though Kate is sitting right there two desks away
- Max ends up in a mental institution where she will spend the rest of her life
- Max commits suicide two months later by calculatingly spilling another patient's beans in the cafeteria and being beaten to a pulp
Spoiler Alert:
At first I went with the ending where I saved Chloe and afterwards I felt kinda empty inside, I was happy, but I kinda wished for more. Then I decided to replay with the other ending, and just when you're back on that bathroom and you hear that damn gunshot man, and you know this time it's for real, tears just running down my face, I was literally crying man, actually sobbing. I've never cried like that with any movie, game, story whatever. That was, I think, the true ending. I just finished it so it's still fresh and just remembering it makes tear up again. GOD DAMNIT MAN WHAT A FUCKING STORY!!!

I thought this ending was a metaphore, firstly. .w.
When he starts singing the chorus you can notice the small buildup in the background each time. The first one is great for goosbump lovers but the second chorus' buildup just culminates in pure unstopable catharsis (4:13) and leaves you to deal with all the emotions that have been gathering since that small moment you felt yourself shudder.
The fact that LiS helps those emotions flow just shows that this song was a perfect match for it.

I think the opposite is true. Many people forget what happened, characters, and feelings are not so strong, when you're in two or three evenings pass the game. Train of emotions literally hits you.
I played the first episode loved it. Then got paid and bought all the episodes played them in one day and this game broke me. First game to ever make me cry. Fuck I love the game.

I had to sacrifice Chloe for the greater good. The first time Chloe got shot I didn't feel a single thing. But after I learned her life and all she had to go through she asked us to sacrifice her. So I chose it and for once in forever I felt a tear actually happen. I'm one person that usually never cries but seeing Chloe's and Max's memories all be replaced with just max by herself was pretty sad. But when I saw Chloe's coffin and with Frank watching in the back I couldn't help but have at least one tear happen
Hi. Just wanna share my thought.
At first, I could hardly make any decisions, but thinking I've got this far to rescue Chloe, and how I'm sick of sacrificing my own happiness for others, I choose to sacrifice Arcadia Bay. However, after that choice, I felt soo empty, even though Chloe is still by my side. Then, after done more thinking, I realized that my choice was soo selfish, and it doesn't make Chloe happy to know that her life cause death on lot of people. Plus, I realized that, no matter how many times Max rewind time to save Chloe, death will always come to her, so even after the storm passes, death still chase Chloe. And if Max keep using her power to save Chloe, more disaster will come. So, I decided to change my choice to sacrifice Chloe instead, which actually not sacrificing her, but let her accept her fate. The pain of losing Chloe was soo unbearable, I cried and I could barely breathe. Then I realized, in life, there's no perfect choice as clearly seen in the last choice in the game, and the right thing doesn't always go in our favor. I believe that all of our struggle will make us stronger to keep going forward in life.
And indeed, life is strange.

If anyone doesn't know, this song makes the ending so much stronger because it's a song about experiencing trauma, trauma that becomes a fury that becomes a choire of furies. Which is exactly what killed Chloe, without her trauma's she'd not be dead. I think it's sort of a message to Max as well. Don't let her death become the same kind of trauma, leave it all down here, in the spanish sahara, it's future rust and future dust.
