- Repotting an Arundina orchid in a leaf, compost, and mulch mix can provide a nutrient-rich environment that promotes healthy growth. Here's a step-by-step guide to repotting your orchid:
1. *Prepare the Pot:* Select a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, with drainage holes at the bottom to prevent waterlogging. Clean the pot thoroughly and ensure it's free from any contaminants.
2. *Prepare the Mix:* In a clean container, mix together equal parts of well-decomposed leaf compost, quality potting compost, and mulch. Ensure the mix is well-blended and free from large chunks or debris.
3. *Remove the Orchid:* Gently remove the Arundina orchid from its current pot by carefully loosening the roots from the edges. Shake off excess soil, taking care not to damage the delicate roots.
4. *Inspect the Roots:* Take this opportunity to inspect the roots for any signs of damage or disease. Trim away any dead or rotting roots using sterile scissors or pruning shears.
5. *Add Mix to Pot:* Place a layer of the prepared mix at the bottom of the new pot, ensuring it's evenly distributed. Position the orchid in the center of the pot, with the roots spread out.
6. *Fill in with Mix:* Carefully fill in the gaps around the roots with the mix, ensuring they are evenly covered. Gently press down the mix to secure the orchid in place, but avoid compacting it too tightly.
7. *Watering:* Water the newly repotted orchid thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away. Ensure the mix is evenly moist but not waterlogged.
8. *Aftercare:* Place the orchid in a location with bright, indirect light, and maintain moderate humidity levels. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Monitor the plant closely for the first few weeks to ensure it adjusts well to its new environment.
9. *Regular Care:* Continue to care for your Arundina orchid as usual, watering when the top layer of the mix feels dry and fertilizing regularly during the growing season.
By following these steps and using a leaf, compost, and mulch mix, you can successfully repot your Arundina orchid and provide it with the nutrients and environment it needs to thrive.

I just love how easy ground orchids are
indeed ... grow them like weeds 🤣
They are beautiful in Malaysia wish they grew as easy for me.
they are fairly forgiving orchids so give them a go
Grow it like a weed?😊😂❤. Weeds can be very beautiful when they flower, and some are chocked full of antioxidants, the most powerful amounts, that fight cancer. That said, I don’t see myself growing this one any time soon. We have the milder months for it, but I’m sure it would have to come indoors for our winters, which are quite bitter. Loved the video, though!!❤🪴🤗👍💯
indeed weeds are plants we don't know the virtues of . We ge winter evening temperatures as low as 2 deg C in winter and mine are fine . They can often take freezing conditions for short periods (or so I am told😁) and the new hybrids are just too cute some miniature forms with white or pink flowers 😍. See there I go trying to convince you to buy more orchids 🤣🤣🤣
My flowers buy in Sumatera Utara/Medan to packet in Bawen, I reporting to 5 plant, is ded 3 😊
Menyesal mendengarnya, saya tahu bahwa mereka sulit untuk diangkut karena mereka tidak suka terlalu kering. Saya harap Anda yang terakhir berkembang dalam cangkul baru mereka bersama Anda 🫰🫂
Such a lovely flower!😊Can they be grown indoors?
they can but not as easy as growing them outdoors
Can I grow these indoors
