I bought my 1991 V Special auto from you April 2019 since then I had MX Heaven do a auto to manual conversion and I’m glad I did, driving a manual is so no much better than a auto.
I bought a neo green car for £1200 a few years back. Cleaned it up, stuck it in the garage over winter and sold it for £2k the following spring. I actually like them a lot, it's a shame so many have the interiors ripped out.
15 years ago we had a black K reg Mk1 S-limited with the dark red leather seats and BBS alloys. Changed it for the Mk2 VS that you guys did the bodywork for last month. Seemed a good decision at the time (twin airbags and bigger boot) but not so sure now... that Vspec looks lovely!
Always liked this spec, for me the black with tan interior is the best colour combo for the mk1. Was looking for an auto in that spec (that wasn’t suffering from rust) for years with no luck.
V Spec in really good condition and no rust was my first mx5. I payed £1300 for it and still remember that first drive home. Such a big grin on my face. Unfortunately it was written off and since replaced with S-Special Mazdaspeed B-spec Eunos. I've completely redone the suspension and its much more powerful but there is still a part of me that misses the purity and simplicity of that bone stock V Spec and it's lovely interior.
Nice timing, I just bought a black and tan 1991 last month! Not sure if it also counts as a v-spec though, since it's an EUDM mx-5 😄 They're great cars aren't they ^^
Exactly the model I dream of. The problem is that Eunos imports are pretty much impossible to register here in France because they don't have European homologation (you can do it but the delay and costs involved mean it's just not a worthwhile option). But once they get to 30 it all gets a lot easier because you can register them as classic cars directly. This also means a less stringent and less frequent "contrôle Technique"/MOT and sometimes cheaper insurance too. I'd need to get shot of my red 1995 1.8iS first, but I dunno whether I can bring myself to do it 😢. I paid £890 for it in the UK in 2017, and have laboured TLC on it ever since. It has taught me to do all basic servicing on all my cars which I'd never dared to try before and of course it puts a smile on my face every time I take it out. I should realistically be able to sell it for around €2500 over here. What should I expect to pay for a reasonable condition 1990/91 V special in the UK? I'm not looking for a show car, so age related wear and minor dings don't bother me too much. But it needs to be in good mechanical shape - my current car is my daily so the next one will be too!
@@lightsuplightsdown3018 Probably, but not because of interest from over the channel. The French are not really a nation of petrolheads. MX5's are pricey here like all secondhand cars. Also not that many were sold new here either. In addition, most French are scared to death of anything right hand drive for some reason. How much should I expect to pay in the UK for a reasonable condition V-spec (not concourse, I just like to drive!)? I've already got a guy interested in taking on Mia my 1995 1.8iS...
Great little video and good commentary on that test. It makes me want to give you my car (1995 UK 1.8) for a test drive to see what you think needs doing. I *reckon* it needs bushes, shocks and springs all round (they are the boggy 25 year old originals) but would be good to be sure. I would replace with 100% oem everything. Any advice on the best source of oem parts for these?
I had a V spec in black. 1.6. Took my girlfriend to pick it up. She cried! She loved it so much. She bought it off me, when we split. OMG! What would that be worth. Anyway ive bought another NC3 in black 2 sport. I literally do 1000k a year. I only drive for fun. But I've shit up rally drivers.dont give a fook
Lovely. I've got a 92 NA6 V Spec with a few choice modifications (can be seen on my channel). Owned 7 years and have no intention of ever moving it on
I bought my S-Special from you guys a couple years ago and love it
bought my 10AE off you guys a few years back, best car ever.

S-limited is one of the nicest of the Eunos ltd car's. I've owned one for the last 4 years.
The S-limited is a great model, one of our favourites

A Mazdaspeed B-spec is a great model to have

I guess we should expect the price of these cars to increase further when they get to 30 years old then.

Hi Robin, are you still looking for a V-Spec? I'm preparing mine for sale and it's the exact same model as this 🙂
@@xiceni still got that idea in mind. Where are you located in the UK?
Manual or automatic?
@@robinforrest7680 UK and it's a manual, Japanese import 🙂

Love my v special 💖
What’s that black box in the centre between the seats with led lights
After market immobiliser maybe?
It's a microwave sensor for the alarm, it allows you to set the alarm with the roof down but if someone leans inside it will go off
My h plate v special is absolutely standard ..... to look at 😬 we don’t talk about the t28 🤫
Whats he saying ?!
