    I admire human beings that can make it through medical school. There's literally so much studying, reading, reviewing...I just wonder how it's possible to remember so much information? Way to go, girl!

    • @thebrittnyway
      @thebrittnyway  8 лет назад +31

      A. N. I am always surprised by the amount of information I can stuff in my brain. You just find ways to memorize and conceptualize information. The more creative I am in my studies the more it sticks. Also, there are plenty of tools out there to help us along the way! As a wise man once told me, "The half-life of knowledge increases with each exposure." - basically the more you see something or the more times you learn something they less likely you are to forget it. 😊

U of F has never even crosses my mind as one of my prospective schools but seeing the how friendly your classmates are, the welcoming environment, support from faculty, and the really awesome design/architect of your school... U of F has officially made it to my list.

    Hi Brittny! What a crazy coincidence - I was watching a ton of med school videos and happened to come across yours at the University of Florida. I'm going here for undergrad! Although I guess not so crazy considering 35,000 people go here hahah. Anyway, I have the goal of becoming a surgeon and who knows, maybe I'll go to med school at UF too - I love it here. You're an inspiration, and you make medical school seem far less depressing and more manageable than others do (though still very very tough). I'll be following your journey through med school as I complete mine through undergrad :)

    I love this! As a prospective Medical Student (I wanna get into Psychiatry, always has been my passion) this really gives me a perspective on what sort of training I would be expected to undertake within the field. Thank you!!
    Please post more videos of your experiences and your courseworks as it will greatly help me to understand more about medicine.
    Sincerely,

    That's so awesome that your classmate was able to scrub in and staple the lung as a first year. I'm a surgical nurse and the we have third year med students that are only allowed to scrub in and literally just observe lol.

    So I've been battling with whether medical school is definitely what I want to pursue. I guess I got discouraged with some of my class in the fall semester but I found out I passed all my courses by God's grace. I'm a chem major and I saw in another comment that you also did chemistry undergrad. what advice would you give to another chem undergrad. did you get As in all your chem classes? Was your science gpa good after undergrad?...I just need need some encouragement from someone who's been through it all. Chem. is definitely no joke but I still want to major in it.

      Mariza T Yes, our anatomy lab is open 24/7. The only reason it closed at midnight in this video was because it was the night before the exam and they needed to set up the testing stations.
