Thanks a lot.. This video saved me... I was worried and stressed for this error and amazon advisors/customer care were showing me some odd ways and also asking me to delete SKU for 24 hours and create new SKU. When I got reply from Amazon that I should delete and create new SKU for this listing, I was panicking. I followed steps shown in this video and within few mins my new title updated under my listing. It worked!! Thank you so much! I had to remove the data rules in several columns, and I did get error 90041 about seller SKU. But I was able to fix both of those with your help and by reading the instructions that Amazon returned with error 90041. Error 90041 was a weird one as I had to fill in several columns to get Amazon to accept the updates... But in the end, it's done!! Thanks again!

Another way to have a prefilled flat file is to download the "Category Listing Report" from the report section. This would have all of your existing listing data.
But CLR might not be available there, you need to request Amazon to give you access to this CLR.

If you want to update anything in listing just put partial update and upload the file

Or you just need to upload always via the catalogue? The reason of asking this question: Normally, you can upload the listing through the edit area without going through the catalogue.
First option is always try updating title or anything via edit option
But sometimes it might not updates so in that case we use flatfile.

It is because there is a restricted filter in that column of excel sheet
You can remove that by right click and select data validation
And then remove it.

If we updates 2 variation based lsting through flet file and want to change images of both variation images.
I have to enter SKU of parents product and rest of all information enter same which you guide us am I right?
Yes you need to fill out 2 rows with the sku and other information if your listing is having 2 variations.
Will the title automatically change for all variations?
You need to put sku of each variation in separate line in excel file which you download from amazon

If no error then it will be updated
As i am writing "PartialUpdate" in Update Delete option,, a notification is popping up saying "the user has restricted values that can be entered into the cell."
Your Google sheet column is having restrictions
You can either right click on that column and remove restrictions or validation data type
Else you can use excel to edit the file

Hi Sarah, yes it will work for multiple listings
You can use new line for entering information of new Asin
But make sure all those multiple listings should be from same category
Of category is different then you need a different excel file.

Just saw your comment below regarding disable Data Validation. Why the hell would Amazon even have this on not allowing the user to type in the Valid Values as stated in the same workbook. SMH. Thank you though.. just uploaded my file and will report back later if it went through.
I think it's excel protocol to only get the valid values so amazon can process that feed correctly

No, if this is a private label listing then you don't need to be the brand owner
But if you are selling on someone else's listing then you can't change the title of someone's listing obviously

Thank you for the video. You should do one on how to solve the amazon seller central save and finish not working. I have product in draft and when I click save and finish it just spins like it is loading / saving and nothing happens. I have to outstanding alerts or fields to complete. Amazon cannot figure out the issue either. I looked on many forums and many other people have the same issue with no resolution.
If this happens then you have to try using inventory file.

Hi, Thanks for a valuable information, In the Vital Info any change of the title say 10 words or more say 180 it responds that the charcter count exceeds 500 and as a result I can't make any change to the title, can you help please?
You can just reduce the characters count in the title and update it via flatfile as I have explained in the video

If you are handling your client account then you need to ask him to grant you the access
Unfortunately when I added the details exactly how you entered, I kept getting error 90041 saying I need to enter SKU, which is the identifier for the product. When I entered the SKU into the flat file and uploaded it, I now get error 8115, saying the ConditionType is invalid. Amazon is so buggy, it's so stressful.
In the end, it's still giving me errors. So I wasn't able to resolve me issues. If someone can help out, please reply.

You need to click on that suppressed link and find out the reason why it is still suppressed
May be for any other reason.
Reason is same asin have prohibited phrase in title and I already updated that title without that restricted phrase
I updated my listing this way and it's updated but they deleted my listing and I can not see my product in Amazon anymore. Any solution?
If you know the ASIN you can upload the excel file again then it will be listed in your manage inventory tab in amazon seller central

Try again or download the excel fee to check if there is any error from amazon for the file which you have uploaded
And if yes, then correct that error it value and upload again.

This error is commonly referred to as a “single matching error” and occurs when your product ID, such as UPC, EAN, JAN and ISBN, corresponds to the product ID of an existing ASIN. This means that some of the information you’re submitting contradicts the product information, such as title, brand, colour or size, that is already present for that particular ASIN.

You can download the feed and see what thing causing error then try to correct it and upload again
when downloading flat file there is multi options in the new update now which one to select 1. (List products already in Amazon's catalogue) 2. ( List products not currently in Amazon's catalogue) 3. (Update price & quantity) 4. (Update product details). Thanks
