- Shrek 5 has been in production for years and audiences still do not know if it will release. DreamWorks may have left it too late for Shrek 5 to work. People have said that it could be a Shrek 5 reboot, but we still look forward to finding out whether or not there will be a new Shrek movie

I really hope Shrek five comes out this summer
I completely agreed with you until I saw puss in boots the last wish, which really got me hyped.
If Puss can come back, so can Shrek!
It is not too late for Shrek five Shrek five may be in the works still but I believe that will get access to a trailer sooner than we think I mean nobody knows the owner original release date will come out, but I believe that Shrek five will come out sooner than we think it to be honest with everybody. It takes a lot of years to make movies like this that I haven’t been around in over so long like remember Puss in boots the last wish they came out in theaters last year That took years for them to make it not only do we get to see Shrek appear again for last time, but we also get to see old characters and old villains that may all appear in the final movie and you know since they said that Lord far quad is the villain of the final Shrek film. This means that far quad will seek his revenge on Shrek and donkey, because if you remember in the last movie, Shrek really married Fiona and so you know, after for one dragon, eat it up far quad. I kind of feel like that far quad or not only come back as a villain, but also as a ghostly spirit if I may say so, like maybe this time, he’s not out to seek revenge maybe this time he actually wants to destroy whoever destroy anybody whoever stands in his way, I mean, if you remember far quad wanna become king of far far away in the first movie well he basically wanted to become king when he was going to marry Fiona so maybe this time he’s out to get some other things on Shrek and donkey, then becoming king a far far away like he was going to be in the first movie with Fiona I don’t think not only he’s going to marry Fiona. I don’t think he’s just after Fiona and Shrek but also I feel like he off but also I feel like he wants to destroy the far far away creatures and they’re far far away home to like another words. I think he’s also after the fact of destroying far far away the kingdom and you know, capturing all the far far away animals, and putting them in cages again so you see this is kind of what I feel like far quad will do in the last movie oh and by the way, go check out my Shrek five video about the hidden things that we may see in the movie. It’s a pretty cool video I just made yesterday goodbye.
While I'm not super interested in Shrek 5, I am okay with a fifth film in the franchise because I do like the other four movies. I even like Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After despite them not being as critically acclaimed a the first two. I thought Shrek Forever After was a good ending to the franchise as well, but I'm not opposed to another film since it would be nice to see all of the characters back together again! However, like you said, it could be too late for Shrek 5. It seems like Shrek 5 is almost going through the same thing as Madagascar 4. I think Madagascar 4 was confirmed to happen years ago, but then got taken off the schedule due to delays as well as all of the restructuring and reorganizing that DreamWorks was doing. Someone even said that the Penguins movie didn't make as much money as it needed to. I don't know if that's true or not, but if it is, then I can see why they might be hesitant to make another Madagascar film. I honestly think Shrek 5 is more likely to happen since the Shrek franchise is more popular than the Madagascar franchise, but I am still not sure. Anyways thank you for making this video! If they did a Shrek 5 it should be like a finale not trying to develop characters add anything on just making a story where everything is in danger and they need to stop it, it would end the franchise very nicely and if it was in that Puss in Boots 2 style👌

Idk if Shrek 5 will ever come out, but I will say the best trailer for Puss In Boot 2 was the one with "all star", and while I am fine with no 5th film to come out, I do think the world misses Shrek as a character because his films really survived on him and the dynamic of him, Donkey, Fiona, and eventually Puss.

Shrek 4 was the best Shrek film (FIGHT ME) and it was the best ending.
shronk 4 had a PERFECT ending to the franchise, even if it's just an 8/10 and behind 1 and 2.
Yeah, I have to agree with you on that. Shrek 4 ended so well, and there’s no way to continue the series unless it’s a reboot. I’m fine with Puss in Boots getting his own series, he deserves it, especially due to him originally being an actual character in Shrek 2 (Which the Puss in Boots movies and tv series thankfully follows up when it comes to their portrayal for Puss), only to be relegated to a comic relief after his debut.

Perhaps a reboot would be the best course of action, For example...
1. It doesn't have to worry about continuity & messing up the original canon
2. You can have a new voice cast
3. It has no danger of ruining the legacy of the original films since it's in a different continuity
4. We can explore the characters in slightly different ways
