SHREK Sequel Ideas we Love and Hate
To put it simply put, Shrek 5 has been a film that has been discussed for at least a decade now. Originally being canceled once it was decided that “Shrek Forever After” would be the final Shrek film, the movie once again became a possibility after Dreamworks was bought by Universal. But even with that, the movie has been stuck in Development Hell for some time now, with it being unclear when it’ll come out or what it will even be about.
However, we recently got a bit of confirmation that Shrek 5 IS coming… eventually. At the end of the latest film in the Shrek franchise - that being “Puss in Boots - the Last Wish” - we see Puss in Boots, Kitty Softpaws and Perrito taking a ‘borrowed’ boat to Far Far Away in order to, as Puss says, “visit some old friends”. With this, we got to thinking: What are some plotlines or elements that the next Shrek sequel could possibly focus on?

While it would’ve been interesting, it definitely would’ve gone contrary to the series message of self-love.
In the alternative timeline of Shrek we seen many ogres exist, so the fifth would be great to explore where the rest of the ogres stayed the full time
I love the idea of Shrek 5 being focused on the shrek triplets Fergus, Farkle and Felica being all grown up as 10 year old children 😁🙏🏻💚

Maybe even make Felicia fall in love with a human princess and I’m not just saying that for the sake of being woke, there is a good reason for this. Let’s think about this, shrek (and to an extent dreamworks as a whole.) have branded themselves being the anti Disney and since recent years has been indicating that Disney may or may not be homophobic (with representation none existent and the ones that are like from strange world and the owl house are getting royally screwed over by Disney for that reason.) it would be the perfect time to basically have dreamworks give the middle finger to Disney once more for not only having a same sex couple embracing their relationship but to have most of the shrek universe think of it as normal since well…. We had an ogre falling in love with a human princess that had permanently changed into a ogre after kissing him, it’s not like this would be out of the question after all that.

A Donkey spin off is apparently in development as well. So if we do get it, I hope it follows Donkey before the original film. My idea for the story would show him escaping from the clutches of the Witch alongside Hansel and Gretel, as an early version of Shrek 1 had Shrek saving Donkey from a Witch. It would also show Gingy's origins, with him being a guard working for the Witch. With Donkey helping him live a life of good. And yes I know Donkey does has multiple assumed origns, like him being a kid from Plessure Island and being turned into a Donkey, but this is how I think is orign should go. And yes they could use Plessure Island but they would have to call it the land of toys, which is what it's called in the original Pinocchio novel.
I’m not a massive fan of the idea of a 5th film but I’ll excuse it if we have Fiona and Perrito interact. They’d be best friends and it would be cute!!!

The only obstacle about Shrek 5 is that Cameron Diaz (Who voiced Fiona.) has retired from acting. So if they couldn't convince her to come out of retirement. They might have to recast Fiona, which I wouldn't want them to do.

Maybe Lord Farquaad Could Come Back To Life Like He Came Back As A Ghost
I predict that in shrek 5 the main villian will be the queen of hearts (the villian from Alice in the wonderland), i don't think Death is gonna be the villian because he is just an obsticale who wants to teach puss a lesson about valuing his lives and the last thing he said to him was only if puss continues to not value his lives again, but i think he might make a small apperance without wanting to confront/kill puss but he wants to warn him about his last life. Anyways back to the topic, the queen of hearts and her men will raid far far away and steal a lot of it's loot and the queen because she probably wants revenge on her for what she has done to her ever since they were little. The reason the queen of hearts couldn't raid far far away before was because it was under King Harold's rule since far far away had a very powerful army back when he was king so no one had the audacity to raid far far away, the kingdom got weaker ever since he passed away. So after the queen got kidnapped, Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss, Kitty and Perrito will go after them just to rescue the queen, while King Arthur said that he can't come because he has a kingdom to run while the other side characters such as Gingy, Pinocchio and the others will stay in Far Far Away just to keep Shrek's children safe from any danger. I don't feel like going but what do you guys think of my prediction??

I would like it if Death (AKA The Big Bad Wolf) returned for a round 3 against Puss and Shrek.
What happened to the wolf who wears Grandma clothes and reads in bed and is one of the best characters?
@@emoji3266The Big Bad Wolf is the one in grandma clothes. The Wolf in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is just the Grim Reaper in the form of a wolf.
I could see the film focusing on Shrek and his kids. Especially since they are much older now. It would be cool to explore Shrek’s time as a parent.
I can see Puss and Kitty taking the leading roles since Shrek is too busy as a parent.

As for Puss in Boots. I am curious if Puss left Far Far Away because he saw Shrek, Donkey and Fiona all married with kids and he knew he could e had all that. He feared answering those questions.

Which Loud House Character Would Win Squid Game 🦑?
I would love to see a movie where Fiona forces Shrek to re-kindle his relationship with his parents. Maybe even a time skip to when his kids are seven years old, which is around the time that he was banished from his home.
That sounds a lot like Chris Farley’s Shrek cause he made a deal with Farquaad that he’d get his own swamp if he brought Fiona to Duloc. They rewrote the plot since Mike Myers wanted to keep his and Chris Farley’s takes on the character separate out of respect. Maybe they can use a bit of that cut material towards a 5th Shrek.
Here's my plot for Shrek 5 called Shrek: Ogre and Out! The film would be set 10 years after Forever After and shortly after The Last Wish. Where the Emperor from the Emperor's New Clothes has become the new ruler of Duloc and wages war against Far Far Away. Leading Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss and the rest of the gang to head out on a quest to gather allies duch as The Snow Queen, The Queen of Hearts and many others before it's too late.
Story:
Shrek, Donkey, and Puss should team up again, while Shrek has some trust issues with Puss.
I think there should be a series about donkeys life before he met Shrek maybe a episode can be based off the stuff he said when Shrek wanted him to cry in Shrek 2

I do like the idea of seeing fairytales from outside Europe for variety, world-building and diversity's sake, but worry that could be offensive. Think about it: the fun of Shrek is taking thesse fairytales and making fun of them, so therefore this idea could end up making fun of other cultures and their stories, which could be offenseive. However, I think it could still work if done very well and carefully.

One of my predictions for shrek 5 is that at the end of the film puss and kitty get married and they start a family which is the beginning of puss in boots 3
Which I also have a prediction for puss in boots 3 which can be a post credit scene for shrek 5
And my prediction for puss in boots 3 is puss meeting his long Lost biological mother since puss was sent to the orphanage in the first film we don't know what happened to his actual parents
So maybe when they make a third film they can show us how puss got in that basket and traveled to the orphanage and became the cat that he is today
And for his mother after she lost puss she has been trained in many kinds of combat and she becomes a bounty hunter and searches for puss and after many years she finally finds him
She can already learn that her son is the legendary puss in boots or she can learn after a battle with puss and she goes on a journey with her son along with his family
She can have a bond with her grandchildren and perito and she would try to get along with kitty softpaws

How about the one where Shrek meets a 9 year old super fan?
They should have it where far far away gets a bad rep among other kingdoms. Prince Charmings from across the globe believe Shrek is a tyrant because bedtime stories say so. They think he killed Harold and fairy god mother. They go to “free” the people of far far away and turns out Shrek isn’t a bad dude but he has to deal with prince charmings and assassins that judged before they knew him. Maybe throw some shade at people that bully a “bad person” without evidence they’re bad thinking they’re heroes or have their heart in the right place but don’t actually think about it.

It won't happen for several reasons.
The first is that the series is not canon and the second reason is that Puss and Kitty are an official DreamWorks couple.
But it might be interesting if Dulcinea shows up and becomes Kitty's friend
