I think theres a theory that shrek never actually had a name, and if he did, he didnt know his name. When donkey asks him what his name is, he hesitates and then responds "uh...shrek?" Chances are he came up with the name on the spot, which Is actually really sad.
Also i dont blame fiona. I mean hell, she couldnt exactly get normal food? Really I doubt that they where able to bring her supplies, so had she not eaten the knights? Chances are she would of starved to death

There is another dark theory that I hear around the internet.
It was Fairy Godmother that cursed Fiona in the first place. It makes perfect sense, she would curse Fiona so that the parents would be desperate to seek her out so that Fairy Godmother could conduct a plan to rule the kingdom through her son.
The Fiona not being cursed doesn't quite work. Under those rules, she would've been an ogre during the DAY and human at NIGHT

I've got dark theories 1) Shreks father wanted to eat him like he said that's why Shrek left him he was running away from his father and changed his name so he wouldn't find him 2) The Ogres are either near extinction or live in a place far from humanity which explains why we never see any ogres or Shrek mentioning them until Shrek 4 I bet he's never seen other ogres before in his life which is why he is shocked to see them in Shrek 4

That 2nd theory is illogical. Dragon swallowed farquad so it proves that dragon eats the humans, and Fiona is locked in frickin tower how can she eat men who come to save her if they die before even reach her? Also, it is not a theory that Fiona is half frog, it's because Harold is originally the frog-prince.
The cook book seemed to indicate she didn't eat them all like that so the dragon could have shared some of her cooked food with Fiona.
And now the Fiona short horror film came out which proves she really ate the knights.

The one about Fiona being a cannibal all makes sense actually. I remember thinking as a child what did she eat? Her eating people makes sense. I knew the dragon ate the brave knights who came to rescue Fiona but her taking part in eating them yeah don't rule that out. LOL

How about a theory that Fiona and Charming are siblings? Charming looks so similar to the Queen, also Fairy Godmother could take him as a baby as a payment for making King a human.
Just think about it, Charming is a prince, but he doesn't have any kingdom to rule, because Fairly Godmother isn't a Queen, so how could he get his title? Also, Charming doesn't have any magical powers like his "mother", so maybe he's adopted.

I was a Skelton in the Musical version of Shrek four years ago. I think the theory about Fiona being a cannibal could be pretty true tbh. Listen to the song that the Dragon sings called Forever.

I'm not so sure shrek is an outcast by choice, it seems he's an outcast by circumstance because in the movie with rumpelstiltskin he seems surprised to see so manny of his own, and all in the same place working together.
Perhaps suggesting that they don't typically do this. Further evidence is when he talks about his own parents. It seems being left alone is mostly normal for them.

The agreement between Shrek and Rumple was to erase "any day from his CHILDHOOD especially one from his infancy." So Rumple could've "taken any of those days he wanted." Unfortunately, the one he "wanted" was his birthday. So yes, Rumple could've chosen another day, he just didn't want too.

The day Shrek and Fiona met is the same day that Shrek began his journey, meaning that no matter what happens next Shreks journey to save Fiona would have been delayed by at the very least a day. It wasn't enough that Shrek saved Fiona it was the fact that he saved her BEFORE her parents signed the deed. A day is more than enough time for Fiona's parents to sign the deal so even if Shrek saves Fiona and everything works out Rumple would still get the kingdom.
Now here is what I'll call timeline 5
Fiona decides that she would like to see her parents again so she convinces Shrek to see them. When they get there they discover that Rumple is now king and her parents are basically dead. So she starts a revolution to free her kingdom. Rumple would likely have started persecuting Ogres anyways since he knew that Shrek could be the only one that could thwart his plans, so the revolution could have happened anyways.
It is worth noting that the exit clause never said, true loves FIRST kiss, just true loves kiss. Meaning that all Shrek and Fiona would have to do to break the spell would be to kiss each other that is if they can find out about the exit clause, it was only because Donkey had dealings with Rumple in that alternate timeline that he knew about the exit clause.
Obviously you've never seen the beautiful Shrek the Musical! Many of these are disproved when exploring the extended Shrek universe!!
