    Late 80's you took off the seat and you had access to the battery. After 30 years of development we have come to this complicated way to do it. Perfect!

    I own a ZX-14R and a 2007 Hayabusa. The "busa sure is a lot easier to replace the battery. What is going on with Kawasaki? The engineers must have obsessive-compulsive disorder or something similar. My Kawi has been a very good bike, however. No trouble at all and man is it fast!

    • @DeepFryeFilms
      @DeepFryeFilms  2 месяца назад

      I definitely agree if you only have booster cables as that would be a total pain in the butt. I'd highly recommend having a wired quick connect to the battery so you can use a booster pack to save a bunch of time.

    • @GreenBanshee-Los
      @GreenBanshee-Los 2 месяца назад

      @@DeepFryeFilms It does have the quick connect for a tender but how would you jump a bike from that? Or are you talking about wiring something else up?

    • @DeepFryeFilms

      With NOCO, you can get an adapter which would allow for boosting as well that connects to the quick connect. Seems pretty convenient. Here is a link:fortnine.ca/media/catalog/product/cache/a2bf45e9635ff86c8c09fbc84b193941/catalogimages/noco/boost-x-connect-adapter-gbc007.jpg

    how do you know which battery to use?

    • @DeepFryeFilms
      @DeepFryeFilms  Год назад +4

      You can check your owners manual under specifications. For mine it is a sealed battery mode FTX14-BS 12V 12 Ah. I replaced mine with the stock one from Kawasaki which they had in stock. If you call your local Kawasaki dealership and ask for the parts department and let them know the year of your ZX14R, they will make sure you get the right one. There are after market batteries out there that can safe you a couple of pounds in weight, but I didn’t go that route. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

      If people buy Hayabusas just because the battery may be easier to access, well then that’s pretty pathetic and they deserve a Hayabusa…what the hell is wrong with people today in this “helpless” society?! It’s easy to see why mechanics charge so much these days…because they can… people like you afraid to tackle a battery because it’s behind a fairing or panel, just pathetic…you don’t deserve a penis.

    I have the same bike since 2013.
    Until now i have change 5 times battery (2015,2017,2019,2021,2023).
    The battery are really small for that beast.
    Specially if you have Motorcycle Alarm + GPS Tracker + Heated Grips for winter.
    The battery is draining fast and charge slowly.
    I use battery YUASA YTX14-BS that cost 90€ and not YUASA YTX14H-BS that costs 180€.
    Which model of battery are you using;

    • @DeepFryeFilms
      @DeepFryeFilms  10 месяцев назад +1

      You have your bike kitted nicely for a long trip. The new battery I put in was the YTX14-BS. The old one in there before lasted quite a few years before needing to be replaced. I haven’t had any issues with it draining fast. I do keep it on trickle charge when not in use. Hopefully you will be able to get to the bottom of that. I don’t have any of those accessories that you have.
