Well now, this is a very interesting buildout. I got an internal noise and no idea what it could be. Don't wanna blow the motor. Can I ship it to ya and pay return shipping too?
I'm currently doing my first motor & frame rebuild on a 2007 GSX-R 750. I'm wanting to do every little detail that I can to increase the efficiency & power like a mild port job, GSX-R 1K Cams, etc.. I'm thinking of deleting the counterbalance shaft and knife edging the crank. How much did that run you & who did it? Any tips or tricks? Not planning on racing it.
I don’t remember how much the crank work was around 350 if I remember right. APE out of California did the work for me. Raising the compression is the one of the best ways to make more power. Pistons or smaller head gasket. Make sure to check your clearances. Be careful if you plan on doing the port work yourself. You can easily hurt the flow.
U did good.but I would buy new 10 bolts for main journals and cam bolts.I had old used cam bolts just break off.I don't like APE cam chain tensioner unless the bike is not ridden alot.On deceleration the chain stretches.I just use a new factory tensioner. And change the oil every 500 to 700 miles.Other than that u did a good blue print.Every tolerance is on the middle.
Hello I'm having problems with my zx1400r. It's not going pass 4000 rpm. No power studying. Act like I wanna cut off. I change my fuel pump not that I'm going to spark plugs an coils next. Have u have any this problems
My first guess would be fuel pressure. Possibly a clogged injector. Are all of the cylinders firing? You can check to see if you have a cold exhaust pipe to see if a cylinder is not firing
There is a micro screen inside the plastic housing we're the fuel pressure regulator goes that clogs up clean it!!!! and replace the regulator while it's out.....cheap fix the micro screen won't allow your injectors to get clogged it clogs here first if not the pick up filter screen!!! 😊
@@nickb654 That sounds like the head gasket gave out. Not a major fix, but the motor's gotta come out to do it. I am thinking of pulling my motor and doing a complete rebuild on it, just to make sure that I get plenty of life from it.
didnt see you install the side thrust bearing in the center crank hoiurnal they are a bitch ah u just mentioned them your installing dummy chaft balanser i did the same but i think it ran better on top end with i polished the shiyft rod that the forks slide on it shifted sweet way better with green stick and hard pad
For the most part a spot on build let down by the APE !!
Very Good Video Good Sir. Thanks.
Was the engine cooling system able to handle the added heat energy.
It seemed to. We ran c85 so the fuel helped alot
@empcycleworks What HP, arrived after your build? Did you notice any balancing/vibration issues?
14's run on the hot side to begin with. Im thinking cooling would be an issue using pump gas.
Thanks a lot mate i really enjoyed this video❤❤
Thank you

Sorry, I closed down my shop
I assume they is a part 3 since the video cut short.
Unfortunately, I had camera issues towards the end of filming this build. This video has most of my footage.

Sorry, I didn’t get any more footage. 😣
@@empcycleworks Thats how it is sometimes. How did it go? Is the bike finished?

Agree, New Bolts, And my Pet Hate manual cam chain tensioners pssst
more!!!
What compression ratio did you settle on? Or did I miss that, was theren any head work work done?
Honestly I don’t remember
Where are you from? I need some engine work done.
I’m in fort Myers Florida. What type of engine work do you need?

I’ve also seen water in the fuel be as issue. Also, your cam timing may be off. But that’s the last thing I would check

Where is the part 3 of this episode?? Bike start video??
I didn’t get video of that. Sorry
Wanna build another one?
i am always ready to build another one
@@nickb654 How much? I'm looking to build a big bore 14R for the drag strip, hopefully the engine cases are still good...
Can you do ZX12s?
Gave me a flashback when I put mine together

This bike has a built r$d transmission. Shifts so smooth. Thanks for the. Comment
