Little tip, loosen your oil filter just alittle before you drain oil. If not it will create a suction and make the oil filter really hard to get out. Learned this from experience.
When You’re Looking At The Oil Sight Gauge To Verify There Is Enough Oil In Engine - Should Bike Be Leaning On Factory Kickstand Or Standing Straight Up ? Thanks For A Great Video !
In this video, the bike's oil was changed while it was on a custom mount, and standing straight up. Always best to check when it's straight up to ensure the proper levels. Thanks for watching!
Really helpful video. Wasn't sure if I would be able to get to the filter with a wrench without removing the fairing, but nice to see that I can. Out of interest, do you not use a torque wrench when tightening the filter and drain bolt?
I don't generally use a torque wrench for the filter. Usually a get it hand tight and go another quarter of a turn. I use a torque wrench on the drain bolt the first time or two until I get a feel for it.
Good clear instructions! By the way, I would have bought another new ZZR1400 Performance Sport in 2021 but thanks to the gnomes at the EU the last model we have was 2019... UK isn't even in the fucking EU!!

Wish I read this before I started.

Is it the same procedure for a modern day 1400?
Whats the torque on the oil drain plug?
According to the service manual, 22ft/lbs
Nice torque wrench used there!😂
