Perhaps the very best graphics I have EVER seen in a RUclips video so kudos for that. In terms of the motorcycles, the new Hayabusa has significant electronic aids that make the bike accessible to a range of riders who likely could/would not safely be able to extract its potential performance without them. Conversely, The Kawasaki is a far older design, BUT it works. I personally have ridden over 50k miles including two cross country trips on the two ZX14's I have owned and with proper suspension set up and good tires, no NEED for electronic aids. The 14R is more comfortable and has all the handling abilities it needs that can be exploited on public roads with a substantial cost difference. Suzuki IS a more modern design with an abundance of features I personally would never need on a "street" bike (save the cruise control), but in today's rider pool, probably very useful to have all the rider aids the Suzuki has. Having ridden the ZX14R in every weather condition (including icy roads in the mountains of Arizona) except..snow, extensively on mountain roads in the western US, back roads throughout the country, the ZX14R is just extremely well sorted despite its aging design. Small example, the extremely tall 1st gear turns out to be..ideal on diabolical mountain roads...descending a steep canyon/pass. You realize..wait a minute, someone..tested this exact situation with the ZX14R because the bike sheds 50 lbs pounds "feel" and you "ride" in 1st gear. I AM biased in favor of Kawasaki because I have the seat time in so many conditions versus how much I have ridden Hayabusa's. My Hayabusa exposure always left wanting way better brakes, the ZX14R's riding position and..smoothness (vibration) in comparison. I definitely acknowledge that for many riders, the electronic aids would be a difference maker if the acquisition cost difference isn't a factor in purchase decision. I admit to outright jealousy in no longer having the race version of Akrapovic exhaust available for my beloved ZX14R and easily available for the new Hayabusa. I will make DO with Yoshimura. Both great bikes👍.

I chose the zx14 2022! Been with kawasaki for awhile and I actually saved $5k since I got the zx14 for $13,999! I loved the Busa after test riding it and couldn't get it out of my head but after reading reviews and watching video of the zx14r I made my choice.

I've owned both. For More agressive riding, Busa for sure. You feel more on top of everything. For cruising and comfort and even launching, the ZX14 imo. When I was riding the Busa, I would start to get wrist discomfot within 20mins. I never had that with the ZX14. Both are awesome bikes. If I was to go in today and decide between the two, it would be tough. I'm not even sure which I would pick.

Man I couldn't have put it better. Same 4 me with the wrists on the busa. Had 2 busas & 4 14's both awesome. All that comparing & arguing is old! One last thing about the busa when you tuck on a busa your body just flows as 1 with the bike on the 14 the tank is higher so you don't really flow with it in a tuck but I got use to it plus you can ride the 14 all day long

  • @Sabumnim666

The busa is a great bike but the things that really get me on the Kawasaki is it does not buzz your hands past 4000 rpm it has a better ergonomic ride certainly has a better sound and even though looks are a subjective point I still think the busa is off. I own a ZX14 and have never regretted the choice, I wanted a powerful sports tourer and the busa was more towards a large version of the GSXR 1000. personal opinion. Good clip

I sat on both of these two to check them out at the local store. They had them both parked side by side. Would be very difficult to choose honestly. The Busa is more lean forward but it felt great. The ZX is more upright and is a bit higher than Busa. The ZX looks great in the front but the Busa is very modern looking from the side, back and overall. I liked the dashboard on Busa better.

Launch control on busa is sick. The quick shift is sick. The breaks are automatically a win for the busa. The features are tremendous. Get it flashed by Moore mafia. Doesn’t take much to get it to crank out a few more hp if that’s what you really need. Very glad I went with busa. Everything about it makes it the top choice. It shouldn’t come down to just power. If that’s the case go get an H2

Busa, anytime, all the time. It's the style and character, just does Kawasaki every time. Also, knowing Suzuki's bullet proof reputation in all respects, it outstrips the Kawasaki anytime. I don't really care about price though but if I did, the Kawasaki would be competitive - just have to sacrifice character to buy one.

my 2017 ZX14r does indeed have wheelie control in the 1 2 3 modes and great / sensitive traction control that has intervened when and as expected. I love the Busa too. Started the addiction with 91 ZX6r, had A CBR600RR, Gen1 VMax, Concours 14, Vulcan 2000 just always loved Ninjas, and see the 14R as the last real crotch rocket I will need.

The 1st gen ZX14 dethroned the Busa and current gen eclipses it. You get more power and speed for the buck with the ZX14 and its about $4k less I believed. Up until a few days ago I owned a ZX14 and put more than 60K on it. It was a big comfortable speed sled. I also just got to take the new Hayabusa out for a ride. Although it wasn't faster (seat of the pants feel), I did like it for the new tech available. All of the new rider aides does make it a safer bike and I really appreciated the cruise control. Sadly, in Canada both bike will not sell well due to the insurance rates. Even with decades of riding experience, a clean license and multiple rider courses under my belt, these bikes are still VERY expensive to insure. My other 2 bikes (1000cc + naked and F series Honda) combined are still less than half of what insurance companies asked for just the ZX 14. Perhaps KAWASAKI will finally badge the ZX14 to the European designation of ZZR1400. The ZX14 has been the best bike I've owned. A modern upgrade and cheaper insurance and I will once again be sitting outside my local Kawasaki dealer waiting to buy another one. Now that said, I did look at the H2SX and it too suffer the insurance balloon that comes along with he H2 designation.

Watch Moore Mafias description of the two. Off the showroom floor for road racing/riding the zx14r. For the track or tricking them out the busa. I’ve had two busas loved them both dearly. Kawasaki’s are way harder to work on and the engine setup can’t the punishment the busas can take. Comfort Kawasaki cornering Hayabusa. It all depends on what you want really. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Kawasaki forever but when it comes to these two bikes, I’d take the new hayabusa over it . I’m a long distance type of rider and that 14R far from comfortable to me. My 10R way more comfortable.
From AL to NC was the most horrible ride of my life on that 14R. If Kawasaki made the 14R seat narrow like the ZX-10 and this Hayabusa, 14 would’ve been perfect. Nope. Wide seat and ride position just not matching up.

The Suzuki Hayabusa is the original legend and KING OF THE ROAD then and now 👍
In the real world the Hayabusa craps all over the ZX14 particularly in handling, but also in braking and power weight ratio. Also how ugly is the ZX? The Hayabusa outshines all of the opposition hands down 👍

You must be getting confused the first Gen 1 ZX14 wasnt around until about 2007 -2008 (in Australia anyway) then around 2010 they came out with the updated ZX14 Gen 2 with the 1440cc engine. That was even more ugly then the original
