- Have someone else host YOUR Zoom when you are running late. Or maybe when you cannot make the meeting. How to use the " host key "
If you have shared your host key and you do not have the waiting room turned on and allow guests to enter before host, then let someone start with out you. #ZoomTutorials

This was so helpful, thank you!! I need someone to take over my scheduled meetings for a few months starting tomorrow and zoom support gave me NO help!! I've been trying to figure it out for ages today. So confusing. Basically when I finally got a message back from support, they said I need to pay double what i do now to get another licensed user in order to make them an alternate host. No thanks! I've got my fingers crossed that this works tomorrow!

Ok, I am almost positive that whoever is the host at the present time, that is where the recording will go.
that is so confusing - there needs to be a better UI so we can just add hosts and co hosts

Hi, I have scheduling privileges for a colleague of mine in an organization. She has been a way for the last month. Is there away to cancel her meetings with the Zoom portal? I do not edit writes to her calendar.
I don't think so. I think she would have to do that. You can check with zoom support though

I am not sure. I think this just lets them in. Nothing behind the scenes. So if the host can normally see everyones email that is in the event then I would say yes
Is it possible the host no needs to join the meeting at all? Just let's alternative host conducts the meeting until the end of meeting.
YES, that is possible for sure.

Whoever has been given host privileges can allow the screen share capabilities. If no one is designated as the host then NO.
correct me if im wrong but cant the host just turn oiver hosting to whom ever he wants ? we do it all the time .. my friend "owns " the room i just sign in and he switches me to host then leaves ... you can asign co hosts the same way .. is there a way for me to open the rooms without having him on ?
Yes you can turn over the hosting for sure. However this method gives you the opportunity if for some reason you can't get in there and start. You're giving an option where someone else can host as long as they have the code

@@MichaelDaniels so me and a friend run a meeting. He is the admin on the account . When he opens the room he can assign me as either the host or cohost if he doesn’t wish to be there .. I watched another video and I think I misunderstood what you said . Or something , but in order to use the key his settings have to be set to disable waiting room so I can then sign in and take the host using the key … I’m not sure if I missed that in your video if I did sorry and thanks … i should have listened better
@@MichaelDaniels normally I would sign into his account in order to start and host the meeting if he isn’t there … now that I finally figured out how to use the key it makes my life a lot easier

Greetings. How do I start my friends Zoom meeting with this? I still need his Passcode and I still have to wait for him to let me in...He already gave me his Host Key but like I said he still has to let me in. Am I missing something?
Yes. He must set up the meeting to not have a waiting room. I think of there is a waiting room you don't see this message to start meeting at the bottom of the page

I'm not sure why I would have said that. Also I'm not sure when I said that I'll have to review the video again.
@@MichaelDaniels Because I'm having problem where my breakout rooms disappeared after my alternative host opened the session. Yet they were preassigned they did not put in a passcode of any sort. Then when the owner was host again all 30 precreated breakout rooms were still gone.
@@bryanparedes2868 That definitely sounds like a glitch on zoom's part. I would certainly reach out to them for sure. I have never seen that issue myself
if i made meeting by paid account and we are live streaming that on fb page also then suddenly if the host want to leave then he will change the host, and make host to someone who has not having paid account new host has only basic plan of zoom then how it effects the meeting.

Meeting continues. It was started by the paid account and it stays that way till the end.

@@ahmedzain-ul-abideen4441 as far zoom goes.... Zoom will keep going if the host leaves to an unpaid zoom user. So I can only speak to zoom
