It sure is good to hear you girls making music again. My advice is to keep it up so the boys are raised around music. They will appreciate it and they’ll always have those memories as they get older.

My older daughter is 12 years older than my younger daughter. While I was pregnant, I would go with her to her piano lessons and sit with her while she practiced. After baby sister was born and having those fussy times, we realized that hearing the piano soothed her. We could put her on a little pallet on the floor beside the piano while her big sister was playing. She had been listening while still in utero it seems so my best guess is that your sweet boys were listening on the sly to their talented Mommies.

I love this good down home singing. When I was growing up we would all get together at my mamaw’s and play music and sing. This reminds me so much of those memories. Also, at our family reunion in Tennessee, everyone would bring their instruments, play music and sing! Thank you so much for sharing!

I sure did need that today, ladies. My favorite bluegrass song is Paradise! Now I love it even more. Y'all sang it so good it was like I was hearing it again, for the first time. You also sang my Granny's favorite gospel song. I made me cry, happy tears thinking of her. I watch you girls and your mama. I truly look forward to both the Pressly Girls and Celebrating Appalachia's post every day. It is the highlight of my day.
