Thank you so much for sharing these blogs. Love everyone I can get. Read every one almost every day…will be having a son-in-law set up instagram for me…there is so much I want.
@@CelebratingAppalachia thank you for the answers. I have seen those blooms before and though they were wild but did not know that they were. I thought they were what I have at the corner of my house but they grow low and they are called house leaks..they have a soft pink look later in the summer
can we all agree that Matt and Tipper are a lovely couple?
You are so kind-thank you 😀
Blessed be they are forsure I'm happy to know I'm not the only one to see it.
They get along so well and are happy with each other!❤
It is true.
Agree completely 😊
Tipper: I don't play pranks.
Also Tipper: I think I'll sell Matt's truck over the radio. 😊
😀
😂😂😂
😂😂
I don’t do or like pranks either! An old stick in the mud😂😂
😀@@maryanngames9353
Love that twinkle in the eye when you talk about the past. It is called " fragrance of memory " and it pleases the heart.
Love that! Thank you 😀
Matt is a hoot. I almost spit out my Dr Pepper when you said you had more wisdom now. Without skipping a beat Matt asked you where’d you put it. 😂😂😂
Okay I had to pause to comment. Matt's face at 21:45 is magical. He's so absolutely tickled with himself 😂😂😂
😀
I could envision the exact face even before going to the time stamp 😂
Also his face when he said that Tipper was smitten!
These two are what true love looks like
I also love The Waltons. I watched when it first aired. Later when it came out on DVD I bought all nine seasons. The Waltons reminds me so much of my family when I was growing up. We had six children instead of seven. Everything else could be my life growing up, including a mom who was a devoted Christian and a dad who didn’t go to church just like Olivia and John Walton.
Thanks Tipper and Matt for sharing your lives with us❤
Katie reminds me of her dad and Corie reminds me of you Mrs Tipper. Q&A is always nice. Thanks for sharing your lives with us. God bless you both and your family. 😊
Tipper. I loved the Waltons also. Every Christmas season, I watch the original Christmas movie several times. It's such a warm loving movie. I am a senior citizen and I enjoy the time pertod.
Y’all do a fine job of slowing us down. Your talks remind me of when my family would get together and just chit chat until after dark. We said so much even though it might have seemed like nothing. Just being together had a peace and happiness all its own. Thank you bringing back those simpler times if only for awhile. Love to all.
Absolutely !
Thank you both for sharing yourselves with us. God bless you both. I'm continuing to pray for Granny and all of you.
Thanks so much 😀
Love the question and answer time. You all are a precious couple!
Loved this. Matt made me laugh several times. When he described Katie's temper, it made think of something that someone said to me once. "You're a firecracker and your fuse is already lit". Enjoyed this. ~ Betty
Matt never stop singing. That’s one of Gods blessings. Tipper my husband was a fine joke teller and prankster. He’d scare me too pieces, I’d get over it and looked forward to him doing it again.😂 Would have loved living in Cade Coves days. Our health care system has much to be changed. Thanks for the chat. 🎉
That was a fun one, thanks folks! I think y’all are exactly where you’re meant to be, you have a beautiful life💕take care of each other🕊️😊
😀 Thank you!
It is always interesting to me to hear the stories from other parts other than where I grew up. You said you are 50, or at least have turned 50 at some recent time -- my husband and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. We are so excited that we are about to make it. So many don't even seem to try to make a marriage work, but it is a blessing to us that we are here, at the threshold of the day! November 2. You must have been a baby when we married. Our oldest son is 48. Time marches on. Things change. Nothing in the world like being a grandparent. Now we are great grandparents, 4 times over. It is wonderful, even though none of them are close to us. All our grands were close to us growing up. We have been blessed -- God is so good to us. We do all fail daily, but His Grace is sufficient. Thanks, Matt and TIpper!
When I was growing up, in the 50’s, not far from where you are, life was so simple, peaceful, and safe. So glad I got to experience it, especially in the south!!!
Jerryodell, what a beautiful expression! "THE FRAGRANCE OF MEMORY "
Love hearing your stories! Watch out for them bears! Praying for your mom and a healthy happy grand baby!
💝Tipper & Matt💝, thank you for sharing your wonderfully authentic selves on all of your videos but the Q & A vids with
such interesting & imaginative questions have been like special gifts that let us get to know you both even better & your beautiful relationship is sincerely a joy to behold!
A funny story. My daughter saw a picture of the movie Tootsie on a tv guide around 40 years ago. My daughter pointed and said grandma. I said no that’s Tootsie and she called her grandmother Tootsie . We all called her that till she died last year. She loved it.
Such a sweet story 😀
I have never liked pranks either, Tipper! Love the story behind your bracelet! Friends are like family! I loved so much about this video, I could keep on commenting, but I’ll just say that you both bring laughter and blessings into my life. Thank you❣️
Thank you Sally!!
I love listening to y'all talk. I agree that I miss the community feel and the slowness of society. My grandmother was from Franklin and I love that area.
Thank you for sharing your stories, I love to hear them. God bless ☮️
😀
😂😂 Matt!! "I'm thinking about gettin' another Farrah Fawcett poster for my wall." Tipper: "Nawww, you aint!" LOL LOL. I love you two and your great family. Thanks for all the smiles and laughs.
😀 He's so silly Thank you for watching!
My husband had that same poster lol
Appreciate you all sharing your thoughts with us. You have had a wonderful life so far and wonderful life ahead of you!
Love this style of video.
Thanks Tipper!
Great people. You both remind me of my folks. Similar values. Really enjoy your channel, Tipper, and the Girls Channel.
So glad for this video today, thank you! ❤ Can't wait for Matt to talk about his plans for his grandson 😊
I agree. Im sure that Matt will be a great grandpa. Im happy for them all to get a boy coming into the family.
Perfect time for him to retire. I wish I could spend more time with my grandkids but I still work full time
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
Thank you, Matt and Tipper, for again sharing your lives with us. I already feel like I'm part of your family and now, even more so. Take care and may God continue to bless y'all. Oh, and y'all take care of each other because, after all, y'all are about to be grandma and grandpa!!!!❤
My favourite shows growing up were Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons. In my peer group, it was Farah Fawcet and for the girls, Shaun Cassidy. Thank you for another Q&A. Just Lovely! ❤
The Waltons was the best TV series ever made!!!
Miss Tipper, I LOVE THE WALTONS. Little House on the Prairie would be a close second. I also loved the TV show MASH. Which, seems a strange show for a kid to be watching.
These three were my favorites too.
That was fun, thank you Tipper and Matt 💕
Dang.... I'm pretty proud that i knew some of the answers to tose question and was right when y'all answered them. Y'all just like family !!!! ❤️
This was a pleasure
Thanks for sharing your life so candidly.
I'd pick 40 too because I played my best golf then....The bionic woman!....I was born in 64. I think we grew up during the best time. With the world today and the future I may wish later I was born in 1940...I love to see Matt smile!
I enjoyed listening. Thank you for sharing your life. Its rough sometimes opening up to the public. I pray mostly positive and kindness to y'all. ❤
It's just like good old fashioned love story between you❤❤❤🎉
That backyard is somewhere I want to put a hammock and just look up the sky❤ simply precious ❤
YES to the Waltons!! BTW, I just saw Richard Thomas in To Kill A Mockingbird. Phenomenal!!
It is so cool to hear more about you 2.
Thank you both. Prayers for Granny and y'all
Thank you both for sharing your life with us. You are like family to me, and I appreciate you all so much!
We appreciate you too!! 😀
Thank you for the wonderful visit. Such good medicine in theses stressed times..
My husband hunts here in the PNW. One night he was heading out of the woods and and was stopped dead in his tracks by a large male cougar. He said they both spooked each other and the problem was that the cougar was between him and his truck. He said he’d never been so scared in his life but knew not to back away and just stood his ground, not making any sudden movements and thankfully had his 44 on his hip. The cougar eventually left and my husband was able to make it home safely.
About 3 months later, we were at our friend’s house, who lives in the mountains where my husband hunts. Our friend showed us that very same cougar at his house on his game cam circling their property at the very same time his daughter goes out to feed their horses every morning. Be careful to anyone that hunts because something could be hunting you.
Yikes! That was scary!
To keep squash or tomatoes you can put them in ziplock and in the freezer. My way to keep them in jars after cooking is to put a little sunflower or olive oil on top and seal the lid. My grand mother used to use bees wax. 🌻
Y’all should do a video using the footage from Matt’s trail camera. That would be cool to see. Love the Q&A sessions. It just makes us feel closer to y’all.
Great video! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and answering all the questions from viewers. You are a lovely couple .God bless you. Hugs.
I’m 66 and don’t feel like I should be but my body tells on me.
😀
Love your Q &A's. So interesting. .Thanks for telling us who you are and where you came from. God bless you both!!
Your videos are so calming, informative, and fun! Your joy with each other comes through. Thank you for sharing ! 🌸
The best Q & A yet! I actually laughed out loud, more than once! You're so playful with each other. And I love Matt's naughtiness. Hilarious! Peace be with you. 💚
Lonesome Dove is my all-time favorite movie! I loved it so much, I did a report in an English class in college!🥰🥰🥰
Enjoyed another Q&A chat time. I’ve had a similar encounter that Matt had with the hogs but mine was with a pack of coyotes in the dark before daylight one morning several years ago. I would have loved to lived back in an earlier time as well. I think all of us young boys growing up in the 70’s had those posters hanging on our walls. lol Thanks for sharing.
Yikes! The coyotes had to be scary too 😀
Thankyou Matt and Tipper!! Y’all are such a lovely couple I look forward to your videos and Katie and corie’ s thanks and may God Keep on blessing you and your family❤ thinking of and praying for granny🩷
Thank you 😀
Farrah Fawcett! I knew that's who Matt was going to say! I have a cousin who had his bedroom wall plastered with all those posters of her! Fun memories! Enjoyed hearing your answers to all the questions!
God bless all here.
I really enjoyed the Q&A, especially about the pranks... Matt sure seemed to get a kick out of remembering them...lol thank you both for sharing your life with us 😎👍❤️
Lordy mercy honey...I love y'all!! I look forward to listening and seeing y'all everyday! ❤😊
Thanks so much 😀
Between 17:12 and 18:00, my heart smiled.
Unfortunately, we don't find so much of that fine respect these days...askin' and then honorin'.
These Q&A's are short-term and long-term priceless... salvageable memories with audio and video proofs, long after...
I remember Grammy Dot.
Everbody asked, who you wanna be?
Truth Is, she just wanted to be herself.
But, her response confoozed everbody.
It didn't have anything to do with her name; didn't make a lick of sense to the listeners; 'cross the board No-one quite understood, but Everybody called her Dot.
It weren't until she was sent off to her Maker that her son brought it in to full view.
He said, "She's always been
a Dot on the map called Love,
and she will continue to be".
It was then, on that dusty back road, that everbody present began to reminisce and share stories of how Dot had been there, on so many occasions, when her love and kindness had pulled them through.
And a lot of tears regarding reciprocity, or the lack thereof. It sorta became a marker in and amongst the family in difficult situations... "Can we just show each other a little Dot today?" It was healing.
Yeah, Dot, was, and will forever be, in my heart, one of a kind.
And I think that millions of people, with millions of experiences, will concur.
Real Love is unmistakable and Irreplaceable.
I like your sharin'. You two are priceless.
Thank you for the kind words-and for sharing about Grammy Dot!! I hope you've written that down for your family-and am glad you have for the world of RUclips 😀 I really really liked it and will be studying on it for days to come 😀
After growing my mustache and beard, I went for a haircut. I asked the barber what he thought. He looked me over pretty well and said that even a mistake on some heads is an improvement. Cheeky rascal. Like Matt I love the stories of the mountain men and trappers of the early 1800s. When I was a kid, I used to hunt squirrels near the grave of Jim Bridger. If you guys ever go to Montana to see your friends make a point to go to Pinedale, Wyoming and visit The Museum of the Mountain Man. It's near the Green River Rendezvous. Also, stop at the Little Bighorn Battle field. Love the story of your life.
We love your Q and A's. We are a lot alike. From tv shows to beans and cornbread. We think we should have been born years ago too. So much better values back then. Continued prayers for yall. Have a blessed night.
I ❤Q&A!! Love y’all! Best time of my life was when my kiddos were littles too!
Loved this video. Y’all are the sweetest couple. When I started dating my husband in the fall, he had a full beard. One day he picked me up in the spring & had shaved his beard & I felt like I was with a stranger. I totally understand how Corie & Katie felt when Matt shaved his beard.
I love that your friends mean so much to you. I met my best friend in high school. Her name is Karen also. There’s always a gift under my Christmas tree that say To Karen From Karen. LOL This is our 50th year anniversary of being best friends. We are celebrating next week with a trip to Key West!
Ive been watching the entire series of the Waltons lately! Wish i could have grown up in that era.
Yep, Walleye, Perch, deer. Best eating! Very enjoyable video. Many thanks and God bless.
Such good eating 😀
Please continue with the Q and A's! I really enjoy them. It is like we are just sitting around having a chat. So much fun! Tom Selleck was my crush...and still is..lol!
Mine to I watched Magnum P.I religiously lol
I hope you two and the family are doing well, Tipper.
We are in crunch mode lately, trying to complete the harvest and preservation before the first frost. A busy time, but as you know, a rewarding time.
Best to all of you!
Thank you Roland we hope you are well too!!
Such a beautiful family, Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us.
Whennthe goats have done the job you have 2 good options: 1) giats are typically easy to sell. 2) My favorite, they make excellent BBQ and roasts.
Thank you so much for sharing!
I am so enamored of your show esp the way you pull us in and make us feel like your life .. and hank you what a great escape from this world
I'm so glad you enjoy our videos!! Thank you!
I'm guessing that the question about strange things in the woods was asking if you had seen any haints....or maybe something something like the Brown Mountain Lights. I'm glad you are both saved. That means that I will get to meet you some day.
Good conversation. By addressing some of these questions, you provide your subscribers with a glimpse of who you are and where you come from. You are the Appalachian Mountains. Your beliefs and dreams are certainly appropriate to be Celebrated. May God bless y’all. - Tennessee Smoky
We appreciate you!!
I enjoy watching you guys together my husband been sick and I lost him September 15 and we were together 30 years he was 56 I’m 62 I couldn’t believe someone could hurt so much thanks for the videos
I have been reading a historical fiction series of books about the people who traveled the Oregon Trail.
Very good stories. Rough going. Earlier ones talked about a few trappers.
I love books like that 😀
very good Q and A thanks Matt and Tipper
I can see Matt living back in trapper days, like the awesome show, Grizzly Adams. Grizzly Matt. 🐻
I love these Q & A's ya'll do. You both are fascinating people.
God bless ❤🙏❤️
Sending continued prayers for Granny, Katie, Baby, and you all. 🙌
😀 Thank you!!
@@CelebratingAppalachia you're very welcome 😊
Getting to know you…love these Q&A sessions!! I love how comfortable y’all are! Blessed you are! Prayers continue for Granny and all of you! God bless and much love! 💕🤗🙏🏻
Nice
Years ago, in the Nez Perce forest of Idaho, I had a bullmoose chase me up a pine tree! I was stuck up there for 2 hours lol. My friend hadnt heard from me, so she decided to drive the hour to my cabin. It was her honking that finally got him to leave. We had a pregnant moose lay in the shade of the pine trees by our front door for about a week. We had to use our side door lol, but it sure was neat to watch her whilst she paid us a visit. 🤍
😀 Oh goodness! 😀
Oh wow.......my mom used to make the best peach ice cream. I used to help churn it. Haven't had it in a million years. You bring back so many great memories for me. Love your channel.
Thank you 😀
I love these sit downs Q&A with Matt
and Tipper. God bless y'all. ❤🙏🙏❤
Absolutely 💯
Great video. Love listening to you guys😊
Tipper and Matt loved that you share your life with us Thank you, love your post.
I have two things I’ve been wondering about: 1. Do you live in a “holler”and what exactly is a “holler”? And Do you have a picture of yourself with straight hair? I have gotten so used to your fluffy, pretty hair that I can’t imagine your hair any other way!❤️
😀 Yes in a holler. It's actually hollow 😀 The area is a narrow valley between mountain ridges. If you google Tipper Pressley and look at the images you can see my straight hair 😀
My kind of people. Love the video very much 😊❤
This was lovely
I love your videos. This one was fun to see and learn more about you both.
I love ya'll. I am so much like you Tipper, I love the Waltons and I too would probably choose the 1930's. But, Scott Baio was my crush in the late 70's and early 80's 😅
What?!? One of the best pranks I have ever heard was when you tried to sell Matt's truck on the radio. 🤣🤣🤣
I agree that I would like to live in a time when you were brought up taught how to garden, cook, sew, can food, etc. So many life skills have just about been lost. And when the economy was based on a one income household because most women and moms did not have to work outside the home. But I also wish I could go back to the 70's, reading a book in my apple tree, and wanting to get bonne bell lip gloss was my only worry.
Farrah Fawcett in the movie "The Burning Bed" makes me cry. She was so good in that movie.
Rick Springfield was pretty cute. ☺️
Have a great weekend! ❤❤
Thank you for sharing. Jeff and I are close to your ages and it’s just fun to hear about what others were doing or liked during the 70’s and 80’s. My crush was George Strait and Jeff’s was Linda Carter and I’m sure he liked Farrah Fawcett too 😅
😀
You two were funny talking about prankin' each other. LOL! And the girls, how funny to think of how they reacted when their daddy shaved his moustache! And I agree with Tipper, age 40 was good, in part because the vision was still pretty good then for me too! Those were all good videos with all the questions, so nice of y'all to sit and answer so many.
I think the early 70s was a great time, you could leave your doors unlocked and you could trust in people tell you the truth alot more than now. Thank you for being real..
Just wanted to say, I have every single episode of Gunsmoke on DVDs. Also the movies they made. And every episode of Wagon Train. And Tombstone is my favorite movie too. And I agree with you Tipper that my best age was 40. Everything you said is absolutely true. It was the prime of my life. Thank you for your posts, I look forward to them................
Love your videos! Thank you!
Glad you like them! Thank you 😊
Love listening to you all ! We love The walton’s and gun smoke.
We enjoyed this last night
