The color of the gap fillers, makes the missile truck look like it has extra armor. I mean it is a military vehicle, I'm sure the Military would do something like that.

I think that front panel works well with the off-color. Suggests that it's extra armor plating, often needing replacement, considering the warzones DoubleDealer likely travels through on a regular basis!

I got this upgrade kit a few months ago, and I love the leg extensions. IMO they are better leg extensions then Ultra Magnus because it doesn’t affect the alt modes where the cab with Ultra Magnus gets exposed more. Very creative use of the fillers in the bird mode, I will use your idea next time. Also I wish I used a screw driver to get more torque! Using my feeble hands to get the original knees out was tougher than expected. Great review.

I don't mind parts-forming, especially in terms of the Netflix series. That's pretty much the only way Megatron could realistically transform, his robot mode cannon not always appearing when he transforms into robot mode, and of course the issue with the sword. The sword with the figure pretty much has to be there if you want the full-sized tank barrel, but in the entire cartoon. the sword has so far shown up for literally a few seconds, yet he always has the full-sized barrel in tank mode.
Now we need a Megatron and Soundwave head to switch out for customs. Make for a Stalker custom too.
Upgrade kits definitely pick up where Hasbro dropped the ball.

Not a bad upgrade kit. Colour matching doesn't matter to me much if it's a piece that should be dark anyways due to shadows and ware and tear. Height is a huge upgrade.
Got this kit too. Dig it.
I did loose one of the screws though.
So THATS why the double dealer I got off ebay had different knee pieces than the ones I saw in your original review...oddly enough it didn't have any other pieces from this upgrade kit, only the knees. Only downside now is the knee rotations on one piece are super loose

Growing up one of my neighbours had what I believe was the G1 toy of this guy(didn't know the name) and it didn't have an insignia on it so for the longest time for some reason I was convinced he was a decepticon based on the colour scheme.

It was really only a matter of time. I myself am a collector of these brown boxes and fort building is the natural result. My wife, well let's just say she does not share my enthusiasm.

Question. In my cope one legs screws don't come loose, screwdriver can't find hold on the screw. How do I open them/what kind of screws these are so I know what to get to replace old ones.

There is a better way to hide the poorly-fitted truck front pieces in bot-mode than shown in the video. You can neatly clip them into the bottom of the inner back of the lower leg assemblies with the double slots on the truck front piece. As Emgo indicates, they don't fit as the instructions direct. The fitment of this whole set is poor. You will probably have to do some whittling on the new knees where the covers clip in as well.
