The brown box returns once again. I still have a feeling that one of these days that Mascot will eventually snap and start going medieval on these small brown boxes.

at this point, just buy a fill kit when you buy a figure. you know it will make it better and just less aggravating.

@@BLU3NX yeah, but it's kind of a trade off for the generally higher level of articulation. ankle tilts everywhere and earthrise optimus had a finger hinge. plus some really good transformations and kibble management.
They should stop calling this an upgrade kit. It''s a fix-it kit.
Still, the end result is amazing. Really great work by the creator of this kit.
Oh wow that's such a huge improvement! Just a little touch up can go so far from making something cheap looking to look more high quality.
I love this kit! I had to glue one of the bicep fillers on mine and the hinged crane piece, but it looks amazing and just makes an already great figure that much better!

Love that you review the upgrade kits I never know how to feel about them because I love making my collection look better but the kits aren’t cheap and I can’t upgrade each of them so this helps decide which ones you’re willing to spend on

This works insane wonders for that figure. I already like the figure but this really elevates it.
Yep, I also got and installed the kit this week and I totally agree, it is a really great kit - it really does improve Grapple. I ended up putting a dab of glue on the crane pieces as well. Plus, one of my bicep pieces also wouldn't stay put, but again it was easily fixed with a dab of glue. Roll on the Inferno (and please God, Hauler) version(s) of the kit.
Can't wait to see them recolor this for Kingdom Inferno.
I'm here waiting for the eventual Mascot rage quit

Now all he needs is his helmet painted black so it's more G1 toy accurate as well as having some more visual interest/something to break up the sea of orange that he is. A nice kit, if I end up getting Grapple I'll definitely invest in that as well.
The forearm panels are great!
Just got this in two days ago. I love ER Grapple, and this is a great upgrade. My crane fillers fit perfectly, but one of my arm flaps doesn't close completely. Not sure what the deal is there but I got some things to try with it. I am really looking forward to the inevitable Inferno repaint, and I'm sure these guys will come up with a comparable filler kit there too.

You know if hasbro just filled in the empty spots then upgrade kits wouldn’t be needed. I think it’s cool that people’s with 3d printers can sit there and design the fillers for these toys. Kudos to them.

I actually thought this upgrade kit would fix the problem with the two pegs on Grapple's back.
Just shaving some plastic off will fix that.
@@emgo316 Yeah, I wish I thought before transforming Grapple into truck mode first time. But, even though I was aware of pegs braking on him, I didn't know they were the ones on his back. Now, his right foot has the broken peg in it, and I don't ever want to transform him ever again. Unless I can get the peg out of his foot.

@@technounionrepresentative4274 Apparently not. I'm dreading the problem not being fixed if Hasbro ever decides to remold/redeco Grapple into Inferno. He's pretty much a red Grapple. With headfins. And turns into a fire truck instead of...a crane truck? Whatever kind of vehicle Grapple is supposed to be.
If I may recommend clear nail polish that helps, will with me it has instead of glue..🤙🏼

I'm wondering why out of all the characters you choose grapple for your upgrade kit.
The color matching is great. The worst part of these filler sets always seems to be the color matching.
The color matching is only noticable, if you truly look for it, I think at least :P

Good for the legs and arms, I don't see the point in shoving it into the extending crane arm. It looks like it's scaffolded inside anyway, I could believe that would be hollow inside. Should've left it out of the kit.

For $20 over the price of the figure for this kit makes getting these high end legends figures from mech fanstoys etc seem like a better deal. Earrise stuff looks great but if you need to spend 80% of the price of the figure just to make it look complete I would just get the higher end stuff. That is why I collect MP, you get what you pay for and for the most part the figures hold their value better than CHUG.

It's not so much they miss small details. By taking out that tiny bit of plastic on thousands of figures saves so much money.
On video the color is not even noticeable, unless you are really looking for it, I like it.
