Random fun fact: in final fantasy XIV, the boss brute justice is based off of bruticus from transformers. Oh and brute justice is also made from combining robots. The names of the robots are slightly changed due to copyright of course. They’re names are swindler, brawler, vortexer and I literally just forgot they’re name lol anyway you should go check it out

You can use the dead alternate optimue prime with the grey roller. And when the weapons pack /centurion comes out, just use the blue one for earthrise prime.

Lesson learned. If I ever get this Optimus and the upgrade kit, get a round file for the holes.
I usually used a closed pair of scissors and just scrape out the sides that way-

This is why I love this figure. It is the best masterpiece/G1 style Optimus we have gotten in a mainstream transformers show in a long while and not only is the figure fantastic on its own, but these upgrades really show just how much of the original G1 figure this Optimus resembles. (One neat idea for an upgrade would to replace the wheels on the trailer and a prime with Wheels that use rubber tires.)

For less future hair-tearing, I recommend picking up a mini hand drill for model kits. Super cheap on Amazon. Either that or a set of drill bits and use them like you would a screwdriver. Unpleasant to hold, but with a drill bit set, you’re almost guaranteed to have a bit to fit the holes/pegs you need.
Also, a proper X-Acto knife/hobby knife and small metal files could help as well.

Dunno anything about these aardvarks, they sound quite vicious. but I got into a scuffle with some rats the other day that were chewing up the wires of one of my moose coolers at me camp eh. I barely made it out alive.
@@petehenderson668 LOL Rats are vicious for sure, glad you're safe bro. But Arrdvarks barely has any teeth. Just some vestigial molars in the back. They mainly use their tongues to lick up insects. I don't know what the hell Emgo was doing to an aardvark to get that injury LOL.
I'm honestly not sure how that can even happen in the U.S. As far as I know, Aardvarks live in Africa. Unless what Emgo means by "Aardvark" is a giant rat.

You can also slot the shield between the back wheels to prevent them from bowing inwards after you tighten down the screws!
THANK YOU EMGO!!! I've been looking for a upgrade kit for my Earthrise Prime and I finally have one. You are right so of the holes are SUPER TIGHT, I used my Dremel with a stone tip to bore the holes smoothly without warping them. The kit is not perfect but its looks so much better.
I want to see the struggle he had with that red button.
This is a very nice channel since he shows great kits and builds them to show you what you need to do and basically does a review too so 100/10 for that effort.
All these additional Parts make the earthrise Optimus Prime look very G1.
I picked this up myself, and yes, you need a small round file to make the ports work, and you can also us the file on the inside of the wheels to make them spin freely.
While this is tempting! I think I'll just wait for the Centurian Drone Weaponizer set. This Roller is just too big and I don't really care for the other stuff, but it is nice to have the option.
Also, the ending with the turntable, I just imagine Prime saying "Behold! Now my trailer has risen!" before questioning if that's the right word.

I really enjoy your channel man. When something new comes out I always wait to watch your reviews. Since watching this video I went out and purchased this kit for my optimus prime. I cant wait for it to arrive as I think it looks like a definate need for optimus.
Hey! I just got my kit and assembled my roller! Used your video as reference! Now before you put on roller's wheels you can carefully carve out the holes with a scalpel or a very sharp knife! This way the little guy can roll eventually! Worked pretty well on mine! Thank you so much for your reviews! They're really fun to watch!
Thank you emgo. Because of this video, I got my set from nonnef's website. Still super tight, but rather have that to shave off than where I have to "add" material to fill the post. My Earthrise Prime is so ready to "Rise"!!!!!!!

I like it and Nonnef's customer service is great. They messed up an order and a couple of emails later, it's all fixed. Missing items arrived roughly 5 days later along with several extra weapons kits.
I wanna give a little tip for roller: you can file down the axels and even the interior of the wheel so that he is able to roll freely. It takes a while, and I just had one of those wooden cheap files, cut it down to a skinny length and it worked out incredibly well!
The upgrade kit did the trailer look much better..and that bloosh thing again😂..nice one man
Hasbro Trailer still looks small with upgrade kit. I am better off using the fansproject Or bts trailer, its more proportional but theres no 3d printed adapter yet.
Great video! As soon as you said “build video”, I thought “welcome to ‘This Old Trailer’...”. As for the fit of the pieces, I think you aim for “plastic-block-tight”. Maybe a small round/rat tail file, or even a drill bit, held in hand, can fine tune the holes? Or extra fine sandpaper to lightly trim pegs? This kit restores so many great G1 features. Wonderful kit.

There are two nice additions for this kit on Shapeways that Nonnef put out there. One is an upgrade to the trailer stands that come on the trailer to account for the added height from the side rails, and another is a spacer to go under the wheels to support the other side along with the side rails. Definitely help complete this already amazing kit.

It’s cool how they give you color options for the kit, thinking of getting it myself, not sure what color for roller I want, grey is cartoon accurate, and blue is g1 toy accurate. So idk

Just put my kit together. You weren't kidding about the tightness. Still a very nice set. Even got one for Dead Prime and plan on getting the black set (not yet released) for the WalMart Nemesis trailer because even an evil Prime deserves a Roller.

I can not lie, after adding the reprolabels - and now this the truck is muuuuuch better looking.
It's amazing, after watching this, the trailer just seems like they released it unfinished...
I also like that they made the new parts compatible with the smaller figures, since the original Optimus had all those little seats that we could never use from the G1 days. I do see some room for improvements, like the black feet on the legs that swing out should be on a hinge that can fold them under the trailer instead of having to remove them and flip them around. Just my opinion, but nice that it makes the trailer more "full" and complete :D
i took tooth picks (cut to size) under the wheels on the inside to keep the wheels from towing inward
This kit fixes every gripe i had!!!!
When I get this set, if the wheels on roller are to tight to roll I intend to take a round file and shave out the inside of the wheels so it rolls.

Ok so they must have heard you, because the colors on mine lined up with my trailer perfectly. I also went with Blue Roller, but yes those tires do not roll unless...you carve them out too...
With a micro rat tail file, and a micro flat file i dealt with the tolerances.... had to shave my trailer ramp on the bottom by the hinges just a little as it was getting stuck when you would open the ramp...an rollers wheels roll now as rolling things should ;)

Try getting the extended trailer upgrade that is sold on Ebay for earthrise prime. It makes the trailer longer and more g1

Dagnabbit! I just received and installed the ZXB-brand trailer upgrade kit & roller to my rig early last week, only to find out today that there's a superior, more complete upgrade kit! And at a much lower price, too! But by golly I'm gonna buy it anyway-- even if it is on backorder as of this writing-- 'cuz I'm just that big a degenerate addict of change-y plastic robot warrior dudes. I'm sure y'all can relate...
I think Roller is kinda to big for earthrise figures but in MP scale is pretty well

I love how the trailer connect-ability with roller makes it unnecessary to use Prime, and since the G1 bio had each as an autonomous part of Prime they can go off and have there own adventures, while prime forgets all about them.
Roller was gray on the very first release. He was gray in the cartoon. So gray was a good choice. I would have the same thing.
