Larry is easily my favorite guest on any Commander RUclips production. This is by and far one of my favorite channels. You guys are the best and this stuff proves it! What an epic game.

i coincidentally discovered the mono colored ascendent flip creatures today. They're all pretty fun and I'm happy to see the green one being piloted.
I think I just love the obscurity I see from Larry's decks as well. I'm a newer player (2-3 yrs), but still, many of Larry's commanders are either new to me or they are commanders that I've always thought are rare but would be really fun to build.

awesome to see a Sasaya deck on here. Was the second deck I've ever built. I've turned it into a combo deck with Wakeroot Elemental and it pretty much wins once I flip it.
FUN FACT about Sasaya you can reveal your hand again in response to someone targeting her with creature removal and she will flip before the removal resolves turning her into an enchantment thus causing the removal to fizzle
Sasaya: 710.1c A flip card’s color and mana cost don’t change if the permanent is flipped.

I love all of Larry’s decks. When he first came on the show I was like “hmm weird commander doesn’t seem too good” then proceeds to dominate the game in an unexpected manner. Now I saw 7 lands in hand weird gimmick I’m sure Larry is gonna find a way to abuse this

I love Kamahl Fist of Krosa, being able to turn my opponents lands into creatures has come into use many times. My favorite play is when Kamahl, in mono green, proceeds to kill opponents lands with a Walking Ballista or Triskelion.
I kind of wonder if Constant Mists would be great in Larry's deck instead of Fog

When Ayli mentioned the Vorinclex/Cumulative upkeep interaction it made me want to share one of the coolest cards in Magic, Solemnity. It is an enchantment that prevents counters from being given to players, lands, creatures, or enchantments. This means that it combos incredibly well with some powerful turtle cards such as glacial chasm, delaying shield, and phyrexian unlife. It even creates a two card lock with decree of silence, making it almost impossible for your opponents to play the game.
What a game! Larry's cookie duster is legendary and his decks are pretty sweet as well.

44:40 @ayli according to the official gatherer page for sasaya, sasaya’s essence (as well as all of the other kamigawa flip/transform cards styles that way) still has a mana value of 3.
My assumption is that since it’s still face up, it retains all characteristics of the top half, and simply changes the name/rules text/type-line in flipping.
Kind of. A flipped card has the characteristics of its flipped half, but the mana cost specifically is the same as before.

I've watched this video 4 times already just to study Larry's playstyle 😂 When he builds I know for a fact he holds back a ton and even with that he is still doing big brain power plays. It's so easy to go infinite with this commander but he's inspired me to not include those pieces in mine (Wakeroot Elemental being an easy one).
The games are always so good because of the work yall put in for the rule 0 to make sure things are balanced. More people should do it this way. Also, we love Larry

Why are the cards with Mystic Forge being Exiled face down? Am I missing another effect that makes them go into exile facedown? Because all exiled cards are exiled face up unless another effect says to do otherwise.
