Manny wouldn’t have been able to pay the ward on his tragic slip. He only had 2 mana and when he played dismember it costs 1 and 4 life. He only paid 4 life, so technically Larry’s commander should’ve been still alive lol
I have an Ezuri deck, but stalker of spheres was tried as the commander and it was not a good time, so I switched back to claw of progress lol. Claw Of Progress allows me to make those 1/1 unblockable infect creatures into huge threats with the experience counters
Sean what partially correct all the myriad tokens enter at the same time so before the two tokens die to the legend rule the champions would see 6 enter a piece not 4
Valduk veteran here. I actually cut bone saw. it doesn't do a ton other than come down early and equip for 1, most of my other cards do that AND... So bone saw becomes less appealing as you upgrade.

@ 45:24 when Sean plays 'Expand the Sphere', It's not a "You MAY put 2 lands", he HAS to put 2 lands on the field IF there are any. And it seems he didn't check for lands, only counted the cards as he was looking at the back, then flips the entire pile into the gy and declares 'no lands', when he should've at least checked and put 2 if there were any, then proliferate accordingly. I'm surprised that nobody has pointed out that the last-turn profilerating shouldn't have worked on Larry. He had protection from everything from The One Ring, and proliferate targets. (But commander is complex, so don't sweat it!)

hi, i appreciate the show but in this episode 1 point disturb me: dismember cost 4 life and 1 mana tragic sleep 1 black mana and ward 1 mana and manny have only 1 island and 1 swamp so i don't understand how he gets the third mana (time 29:25)

Only the ring bearing Nazgul is legendary, the other nazguls have the same name but are not legendary. Some cards that create copies have similar effects where they create “non-legendary copies” of a card to get around legend rule.
For the record, this is the exact rule: "704.5j If two or more legendary permanents with the same name are controlled by the same player, that player chooses one of them, and the rest are put into their owners’ graveyards. This is called the “legend rule.”"

I thought it might be an interesting idea to mock up a list based off of color so as to be fair in solving what I consider to be a Meta-game in need of balance. Turns out a lot of the really busted Commanders just happen to be Bi-colored and Tri-Colored. You guys need a judge or better understanding of rules or to pay better attention to the game. One example, @22:10 Why does Cacophony Unleashed attack? Everyone at the table needs to call out a bad play like that. The ancient tomb was like a smaller issue earlier. Makes watching the rest of the video harder to watch as bad plays pile up, but I do love the fun and energy and legal plays within the rules of the game. In the end it didn't matter, so keep up the good work!

It reads up to 2 lands which means it could be a total of 0 lands 1 land or 2 lands so he didn't have to play any lands with it

One mill instance, but he does trigger for each nonland, so it doesn't really matter unless you have a very specific interaction in mind.

Tragic slip play should have been countered. Valduk had ward from his leather armor right? I don't see any extra mana to pay for the ward cost.

No. The legend rule only cares if you control two or more legendary permanents with the same name. The ones that aren't a Ringbearer aren't legendary.
They both have to be legenedary. There isn't another legendary permanent called Nazgul on his board

Anikthea exiles it and makes it a 3/3 zombie in addition to its other abilities. It’s always a creature because of Anikthea.
