He could get steady work as a voice actor in a heartbeat. Picture him calmly delivering exposition or quickly listing off features and benefits of a lawn mower
I love Tevesh, such an underrated commander; I use them in a Voltron/Aristrocrat strategy. I like that playing a Planeswalker commander can cause your opponents to play a mini game to kill them while Tevesh happily makes Thrulls, equips them, sacrifices one next turn to draw 2 cards (Does not care about token creatures= sort of broken) and getting to that ultimate, stealing all commanders while bringing back Tevesh from your command zone= PRICELESS
Lynch, I love your outlook man, watching you has honestly helped me pull some of my salt from my reactions. I used to get heated when I would get targeted by the table and watching how you react in the same situation has shown me a better way to take it and I've found I really do enjoy playing more, even when getting my face stomped, if I just smile and say "yeah, that happens" and just moving on. Keep up the great work man, you are honestly a great role model, even to people your own age.
I feel like I'm really winning, or must be doing something right when I get heavily targeted. Used to irritate me badly, but now I love getting to be the boss monster at the table. The challenge of playing out from under that pressure is exhilarating. Hope you're having fun out there, friend!
I don’t usually comment on videos but lynch, your intros recently have been helping me get less angry when I lose or get board wiped. I mostly play with my dad with pretty high lvl edh decks. We are competitive but you are right. It’s about having fun and GATHERING with your pals
42:30 Couple things: KZE needs to target a creature so that has to be chosen as you cast it. After you cast it and pass priority you won't be able to cast Reverberate before KZE resolves. You need to cast KZE (picking a valid target), maintain priority, cast Reverberate (picking KZE as the target), Then you pass priority. If Reverberate resolves you copy KZE (picking another valid target). After priority passes the copy KZE will resolves, you can cast a 2 cmc or less spell from hand for free, priority passes on the free spell, it resolves. Then priority passes again and then KZE resolves, letting you cast another free spell.
Like high power level games like this as long as everyone is upfront as to how brutally they can go off and murder each other. Syr Konrad and the mill triggers were so gross.
This was a great game. Larry is great, and this group had great camaraderie :D Minor mistake: Larry kept using the +2 of Tevesh which isn't the sacrifice, it's for the 0/1s.
Your mission statement of being less salty is great, Lynch. I've been showing my LGS your videos; lately, our games have become more jovial and less antagonistic. It's working, man. Life is way too short to get pissed off when we're trying to have fun. Thanks, dude.
Love the episodes with more average joes. Gives the show the LGS feel that it started with. Love to play a game with Larry, he's hilarious. Hope he learns to read the cards thou.
Small rules thing. When you sack Yavimaya Elder, you actually tutor the lands then draw. Yavimaya elder says when it hits the graveyard, you tutor the lands. Since you are sacrificing it as part of the cost, that will resolve before the "draw a card" resolution. Little thing but it's useful to know. It's the same thought process for Krosan Tusker. (Edit) also noticed Larry did not mill anything due to mindcrank from playing his shock land around 30 mins. (Edit, edit) and when big D took 4 off Sylvan library around 38 mins
Grimório Silvetre was for sure a highlight for me! Born and raised in Brazil i've started playing back in 95 when 4th Ed was released in portuguese cause back then, at 10 years old my english wasn't good enough to read the cards without someone helping me. Definitely Magic was a big motivation to start learning it! And yes, I still have my original Sylvan Library 4BB PT-BR ;)
Strixhaven's mystical archive cards are so gorgeous. I really hope they fit another cycle of that kind of art where it would flavorfully fit... Brother's war maybe?
I have the full set of mustical archibe cards. Faithless looting is the oddest of them all. I bought them because I love the look. I also hope they rocket in price similar to invocations or kaladesh
Loved this game, ihyd brings such handsomeness to EDH. Thank you so much guys. Speaking of stealing your friends wincons: I once used etali to steal niv mizzet and tandem lockout off the top of my friends deck, assembeling his infinite combo and winning. It was hilarious.
Since your channel is all about having fun with your friends, I think it would be cool if someone played a deck that was completely proxied. Wotc has said that they're fine with people using proxies as long as they're not trying to use them in a tournament or sell counterfeit cards. It's a great way for everyone to play the deck they want regardless of what they can afford.
i really really like this idea, me and my friends all had proxy decks we'd all play at the same time so it was fair. That and pure mill no life whoever runs out of cards first loses. It was fun
@@Diadin22 Yeah, everyone using proxies is a fair way to do it. I've also tuned down proxy decks with limited budgets. Definitely something to bring up in the rule zero talk. Ooh I'll have to try that no life variation
Very important rules thing here, if you are holding priority for the sake of say "copying a spell" you can't go around the table and ask if they have responses. That would be passing priority already. As soon as you ask for responses and nobody has anything. The spell resolves wether you still want to do anything else or not. So you can't just check for counterspells before you go copying a spell. If you are holding priority you have to do so before passing priority to others.
There was a guy at my old LGS who said "a horse of a different color" all the time. It's an old phrase from what I can gather. I've heard a few other people say it before too
Before every plane flight, the flight attendant goes over the safety manual. Before every commander game, we should listen to Lynch’s intro speech to realize that this is only a game with the purpose to have fun
I hate your Deck is a great show, that I enjoy very much but this Episode, not so much... Uff. How do I start. This Episode is just Awesome!!!! Wow, my favorite Episode so far. (Got you ;-) Keep up the great work.
Small rules thing; you cannot maintain priority after you’ve stated that you passed priority already (43:00). When Larry cast the KZE and there were no actions by all players, the spell would have resolved and he would have been unable to cast the reverberate.
Really lovely to see the way this show has evolved into a more wholesome concept, I feel like we might be finally ready for the Prof's special "I love your deck" episode
I like to see the pain in my friends eyes when I play Temporal Extortion while having Syr Konrad and Mind Crank out. It reads any player can pay half their life to counter the spell, if they don’t I take an extra turn.
I took a break from watching and playing magic. Come back to find Joe is not in the games and they are actually alot more pleasent to watch. Lynch you are awesome dude! Hope to play against you one day. Best regards from Denmark
Larry is just the perfect addition to you and sky. I wouldn’t mind seeing you 3 every other week. A side note : I really do like ihyd more since there‘s no more „magic personalities“. Just friends having a good time. Hands down my favorite commander show.
Love everyone on this one. I want to see Skylar play Ur-Dragon again but I'm a little biased because I have an Ur-Dragon deck...with the same sleeves. 😂
I know it's late, but Larrys proverbs are pretty on point - from a german perspective. Snake-tongue is the word to word translation of "Schlangenzunge" wich would mean silver tongue. Its also the last name of lotr's Grima in german.
Don't know where you came from Larry, but you are the MAN! Best episode yet! Nothing feels better than making the guy who always builds a target on his chest shoot himself in the foot! Lynch never learns to build fun, always tries to have the meanest deck at the table. We had a player in our pod who did that and he always cried cuz everyone ganged up on him from the get. Still Lynch is a great host and always in good spirits.
Please have Larry back, he is hilarious.
Absolutely! That was great, plus ending a game with a death cloud is just my style
Larry was my favorite lol 😆
He could get steady work as a voice actor in a heartbeat. Picture him calmly delivering exposition or quickly listing off features and benefits of a lawn mower
Hi. Larry. Us.
@IsaacSB literally made 0 difference. Sky always had 2 mana up for firebreathing anyway
"I 100% have it"
"You might not tho"
"I promise I do"
"Im going to attack"
"I have it"
"Oh. You had it"
yes, thats the concept of bluffing. glad you caught it.
@@ParadoxPie it was obvious he didnt bluff tho
🤣👌
HOW DID HE HAVE IT
This was definitely my favorite episode this season Larry and Sky had great chemistry. It was good to see Big D back as well :-).
Skylar is always a hit, but Larry for sure was a very nice addition to the show
Tevesh +1 is sac a creature...+2 is create 2 thrill tokens.
Lucky for us it didn't change the outcome of the game.
@@IHateYourDeck 100%
I was gonna comment this but it’s still good to know how one of your commanders work lol

Also Larry should have also discarded three cards from the next spell he played, it said each player not each opponent
as a brazilian I loved to hear you guys speaking portuguese. Skylar's portuguese is very good and Larry has good pronounciation too!
In time: it would be "O grimório silvestre", not "El", "El" is Spanish...
Obrigado irmão!
Came here to say this

Just be glad you have a father that plays mtg with you.
Getting killed by your own Syr Konrad combo is pretty epic.
Larry is a very chill dude awesome to see someone chill lay back , and doing what he said he was going to do …
He was VERY upset the first three turns LOL
Homie, just mill the cards. You literally have a way to take advantage of it with the Top...
42:30 Couple things: KZE needs to target a creature so that has to be chosen as you cast it. After you cast it and pass priority you won't be able to cast Reverberate before KZE resolves. When David does the take back and pays 4 life for the extra card he would’ve had to mill because of mind crank
i caught that too
I'm definitely going to use the "I'm swinging at you out of respect" line.
Lol great game. Loved Larry.
This was a great game. Larry is great, and this group had great camaraderie :D

Bruh Larry is the GOAT! Please make him a semi regular 🙏 this episode was wholesome af
this was a very entertaining episode. Love the interaction and banter throughout the game, it just makes the episode that much more enjoyable.

Love the vibes around the table in this episode, would love for another with the same players. Keep it up!
Love this dudes matter of fact personality. And the skylar David banter is hilarious
Killing it this season♡. Another amazing episode
"Mill faster"
Shouldn't of laughed as hard as I did at that 🤣

Yep, was going to point that out too, always have to take a sec to remember the order on Elder.
28:00 the guy has a card in portuguese, fico feliz! And Skylar did a great job reading the card!

One of my favorite matches in the channel so far, great chemistry between you all and amazing plays with Mindcrank et all.

Lynch's combo added some great suspense to this game. Everytime people were milling and hoping not to see any creatures was hilarious.
Strixhaven's mystical archive cards are so gorgeous. I really hope they fit another cycle of that kind of art where it would flavorfully fit... Brother's war maybe?
They should totally do a cycle like the mystical archive but with cards significant to dominaria and the brother s war

Larry is the only reason I joined the patreon, his decks make no sense when I look at them on moxfield but he keeps winning. The goat

Dragon tribal is fun. I use Ur-Dragon as my commander, I was sad when I saw gnawbone being milled lol

These decks are sweet, thank you for adding hot sauce to the party,? First takes back, wow that was 🔥
I wonder what Larry’s planned win con was that he briefly mentioned during deck intros.
The take backsie shot is such a great addition. Bring back Larry to another episode.
