This park is filled with nostalgia!!!!!!!! I grew up going to Old Orchard Beach!! And I was also so excited to go to Palace Playland!! I can't believe some of these rides are still there! Like they are so old! But they are putting in new rides. But still the NOSTALGIA MAN!!!!! 🥲😭😭🤣🤣 LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!
I used to live two towns over from OOB, and I'd come here when I was able to drive to hang out and play in both arcades (now just one). When I got older, I'd go drinking up on the pier, when I wasn't drinking in the Old Port of Portland. The bar at the end of the pier had some nights where they did foam dance parties.
My brother and I go to this park every year with our Grandparents. We stay at a hotel not far from the park and stay for a week! So much fun! My favorite ride is Adrenaline! (the claw ride) Sadly you came after the Fried Dough stand by the swings left. They had the BEST fried dough!
I visited this park back in 2014 and the Sea Viper actually wasn't even built yet. They still had the old Galaxi coaster built by Italian company SDC. Thinking back, it's a pretty cool coaster credit to have considering how few of those models still exist today. Great park review though! I love this park so much and can't wait to go back one day.
After I Watched This I Wanted To Pack My Bags & Go For A Weekend. I Am Shocked That There Closed For The Season All Ready. No Oct Hrs OR Halloween Feast WOW
This is my favorite park of all time. As you know, its nothing special in terms of coasters. My familys gone to old orchard annually for generations, probably around the time the park itself was established. My grandmothers grandparents went. So i grew up going here. Sea viper is a decent replacement for galaxi, and perfect for the park. but the enthusiast in me wishes there was an inversion or two lmao
Also--adrenalin used to have a much longer ride cycle. Did it only go to max height once or twice when you rode it? I noticed my trip there this year the cycle was so short! Its a really good claw ride
@@samjaymes1911 Not many U.S. Americans have family in the same spot for five generations, though I get the impression that might be a little more common for Mainers.
My New England friend that has 2 credits and because Im an enthusiast he rode sea viper on his trip to Maine. He thinks he was so brave, I have to give him credit for being his first non-kids coaster. We went to Santa Cruz some time and he was like “imma ride all the coasters, sea vipers way scarier” we get there and I ride undertow without him wile he sits by the exit
Strange all the positive comments as this place is dirty, outdated, always lacking the full gamut of rides which lacks variety anyway & I refuse to let my children ride here. We enjoy the beach & ambiance but I've been horrified at the amount of dirt on our shorts after just one ride making it unacceptable nevermind their safety standards operation in the hot 🔥 temps with Many French visitors making it very clostraphobic, an undertow & lack of lifeguards or life jackets permitted due to the false sense of safety it gives. I've jet skiied and ridden the long blow-up hot dog jet skiis & the sky is full of advertisements making it a very busy & unsafe beach for kids who aren't strong swimmers. I like swimming here as I body wake board & the waves can get huge without going very far out, this van get dicey as any small children could easily get flattened by teens or people not focused on small children. When riding waves often your on top of the beach before you even know it. Watch your kids & have fun. I will not be taking my teen children here & we go everywhere & ride it alll!!!!
I hope he comes back there are two new rides

Glad you enjoyed it!
I live in the area and whenever folks ask for recommendations in the area, this place is always up there!
That coaster looks awesome.

Great video! Sounds like a nice park!
2:50 I rode one of these drop towers.
It's deceptively intense and the drops are so awesome. Great airtime and better than some bigger drop towers.

The drop tower sounds like so much fun!
Nice review of a traditional community park, and I like the inclusion of the ride op interview.
Thanks! 😁
Dude great job!!! Best video of oob I've seen on here thanks! ❤

The Galaxi Coaster is PAINFUL it slams you into the cart😭
Good review,
Been going to old orchard for 8 years,
I’am currently on vacation there right now so that’s cool~!
That looks like a really fun park! I've never been to Maine, but if I ever do go, I'll definitely check the park out! 😊

Your grandmother’s grandparents used to go to this park? That is amazing.
@@StamfordBridge old orchard as a whole! Im not sure if they started going before or after the park was established
