Great interview! I'm one of the world's biggest Lindsey fans. He seems like such a fascinating guy. To me he IS Fleetwood Mac because of his creative genius. We need artists like Lindsey who is totally into the music.
I really enjoyed watching this interview! Kudos to the interviewer for keeping the questions flowing and even making Lindsey laugh which is so rare for me to see on camera! It's nice to find interviews of Lindsey where he can give his views on questions that aren't the same old tired questions that he's been asked for the last 30+ years. Lindsey is a prime example of doing what you love because you love it, not solely for the commercial a$pect of it.
The thing about Rumours and Fleetwood Mac is that they did what everyone in music was - and is - trying to do. They wrote it and we got it. We felt it. What they were saying and what we received matched so well that it's hard to move past that and focus on his next project. And yet, Lindsey shows such grace and patience answering questions about what happened a lifetime ago. Cudos Mr Buckingham.
This was so great, I love Fleetwood Mac, they were a magical Alchemy that made Amazing Music that touches you deeply in your soul. I hope one Day they come to Melbourne Australia. The will sell more tickets then P!Nk did with her Record 50 sold out concerts. I don't know anyone one here who doesn't know their music. Love Lindsey Buckingham's Passion playing Guitar abd singing.
They were all key. Chris and Stevie and Lindsey together made a sound that was amazing, and Chris and Lindsey composed really good stuff spontaneously. And there is no rhythm section anywhere like John and Mick. It is the foundation without which there is no Fleetwood Mac.
@WatchYourAttitude - oh I am one of them people as well that would love Lindsey and Stevie go get back together again but, unfortunately, I don't think that will ever happen now. Although it pains me to say, I think Lindsey really loves his wife very much and only has great affection now for Stevie. I think there could have been a chance way back in '97 in the Dance Tour but then his wife got pregnant and that was that.
@WatchYourAttitude - he never discusses his wife in great detail in any interviews. Fleetwood Mac, although a fantastic band and one of my favourite, rely heavily on the chemistry between him and Stevie Nicks and a lot of people still hold the hope that him and Stevie will get back together again and the band/Lindsey realise that if he tells everyone how much he loves his wife, people will give up on the great dream of him and Stevie together - that's my take on it anyway.
awesome interview. it does kinda gets my attention that when he gets asked about his family live he talks most about his children. not so much about his wife. but well, that might just be me being suspicious :P
