Looks like a great day of skiing 🤙. I hope you can get some more in before the season is over. Its looking like a powder weekend up at Hurricane Ridge for me🙏.

Snow looks amazing, Love Mount Bachlor cool double pole technique

Yeah, it was predictable, even if rough. My double pole work is a bad habit called Pole Breaking. It does help me control speed. Although, that outside pole has been known to trip me up.

I had forgotten I do that. Good Eye, I had to slow the video down to 25% to see it. I am an old school mogul skier from A-Basin, from way back when skis did not carve, and we did the jump turn. I see at 7:39 I use the double pole plant to take my body weight and lift my tails for initiation of a jump turn. It is definitely a security thing, when I am afraid the surface might grab my ski tail and prevent a turn. I also use it for speed control.

Nice job. That was some evil "snow" you got through there. I liked your comment under your breath at the end: "I did it." :-) Yes.

Thanks! That really was a great run with some super fun lines. I was very excited about finding that face above the catch trail, it had been a goal for a long time. The backside is so Very Big it is hard to know where you have been, much less how to find a specific location.

Rad video. Thanks for showing the whole trek down as well. Most folks stop filming higher up, so you never really get a feel for how finding the catch line goes!
Question: It looks like you referenced an app to determine your location towards the end of your video. What app do you use and why?

Thanks, I make these for me, for easy reference when I need inspiration. I'm glad when others enjoy them too. I was just using google maps to find that last pitch.

If you are asking about the app from a professional basis, I have very specific ideas about what I want and why, and would be happy to talk about it.
