- Just 22 miles west of Bend, Orgeon is Mt. Bachelor. Home to some recognizable names like Ben and Gabe Ferguson, Austin Smith, Josh Dirksen, and more, it's a true snowboarder's mountain. Located about 20 minutes from the nearest city, it's become a hub for those who enjoy the outdoors and some of the best riding in North America. Boasting over 4,300 ridable acres of lift-accessible terrain, it's also got the highest rideable elevation in all of Oregon and Washington. In the latest episode of Mountain Recon, Eddie Wall links up with some locals to ride the mountain, take in some aprés, surf a river wave, check in with SnoPlanks, take a tour of the 10 Barrel Brewery, and more.

Traveled a total of 16 hours to ride here, just to break my collarbone in the first 4 hours falling off the wall ride. Still had the best 4 hours of my life, can’t wait to go back.
where you driving from?
Matthew Mitchell I flew from Orlando to LAX and then to Portland, and drove from Portland to Bend
Fuck yeah dude!

My word I love my mountain
my grandparents live in this town and i go skiing with my cousins on my bachelor every year
This was such a sick series
You showed more about beer than shredding... you NAILED the vibe of Oregon. I think its funny most the people I know go to the mountains to ride for an hour or 2 and then spend the rest of the time drinking. LAME! I'm a Hood local but have spent many days at Bach. Its a great MT. you should have had a part showing the cave.
Loved this. Mt. Bachelor really is a "skate park." That Butte? Volcano? was created with snowboarding in mind. I spent a couple winters there and that place is just so much fun. The perfect place to ride. Especially when the snow is good. And Bend is awesome. Such a cool city...err...town. Oh, and those fresh-off-the-line 10 Barrel brews looked amazing. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything that I've tasted of theirs. Didn't they create a beer for Deftones? Anyway, my only complaint is that this segment wasn't longer. Good stuff right here.
Wow Great video
Feel blessed to only be 2 hours from bachelor
This was a sick video!! Gives me a lot of ideas for my snowboard vlog!!!
Well done!
Yewww! Bachelor is on my LIST looks sooo fun!!
Sucks if the top is closed plan enough days to get the top
Right on homie ill keep that in mind!!
It's not that good and the top is never open go to a real mountain
@@kylepowell_sbs1653 it was not that good of a hill. I will agree. It's really not steep enough and they close the top way too often. If you want a 360 mountain you want to go to big sky.
Thats sickkk I was planning on hitting Big Sky THIS SEASON!!
Sweet!
Editing got better, and good to see focus on apres ski activities. But still would be nice to put most focus on the mtn and best runs, hidden gems etc. Either than that, solid concept
I live 15 minutes away from it I go a lot during the winter
What is that mini volcano by Mt. Bachelor?
Plan enough days to get the top. It's not open all the time. Kinda weak without the top open
I really enjoyed the video! What's the song at 3:47?
Is a helmet not necessary anymore for 10+ years of riding?
You guys hitting up revelstoke for a mtn recon episode?
I want to get lost in that brewery.
Come to mount Washington in comox bc
I go to mountains to snowboard not to waste time with fancy après.I believe there was only 2 minutes of snowboarding or anything about snowboarding at this mountain during this video. Good concept, horrible execution.
Après-ski can be pretty awesome. The Après-ski in this video is just really bad
This place is riddled with hipsters lol
