Here in California, Smart & Final sales the Gold Medal Monster Mushroom, and Glaze Pop, usually just caramel flavor. I love your videos and the passion you have. I have been doing kettle corn, selling from my home, but am looking into getting a machine and start doing events. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, and I look forward to your flavors and spices video. Thanks.

I am starting kettle corn in Oklahoma. Live in a very small town with a great recreation lake. Seems like a good idea. Thank you for the information. Would love to talk to you before I start. I am looking for equipment.

For our business, Gold Medal Monster Mushroom is the standard. We also have a Pop Weaver Mushroom Popcorn available, and it’s second.
Thanks for the video, and good luck!

I am interested win trying Magic Mushroom. Locally the price Monster Mushroom has always been 10 to 15 dollars more than Magic Mushroom. Plus the price went up $15 last year.

      The butter flavored oil?

@@DanielSchmidt94521 that’s the one. It was made with coconut and canola oil. I’ve experimented with some others but that one is still my favorite by far.

@@danthecnctoolman8024 I’ll try it out. Do you use it for butter or just kettle or what flavors do you do it with? Many of my customers are Vegan so I don’t use butter when making plain kettle corn.

Thanks for the great videos and info. When buying popcorn in bulk how long is it good for and does it need to be stored any particular way or temperature.

It stays fresh for a while if you keep it in a dry cool environment and you have to worry about keeping it away from rodents.
I buy bulk for a week at a time. I am not making millions of dollars (yet) to where I need pallets and pallets of popcorn stored. But my former company kept them stored in a ware house and tried their best to keep them away from the rodents.

You just need to keep the bags (usually 35lb or 50lb) stored in an air conditioned dry environment off the floor. Most health departments require you to keep it at least 12" off the floor. If you can't keep rodents away, then you should not be storing it there...... We keep ours (50 - 50lb sacks at a time) stored in our family room where it's cool and dry. It will keep there for months....but remember, the seed you are buying is simply coming from a warehouse, that is airconditioned and dry. The seed you are buying was hopefully processed from 2021 crop (it's now summer of 2022). So the seed has been sitting there stored since last October. And it makes no difference if it's in that warehouse or in your own storage area - as long as it's cool. We keep ours at about 72 degrees. It's probably best to keep it at 40. But nobody does that. I've been doing this for six years and there is no difference in quality from the freshest, just harvested, to those sitting in bags for 9 months. I know the farmer and field where my seed comes from. So I know when it was grown. I suggest you nail down your own seed company for the age of their seed. Many are a few years old. The stuff you buy in the store (1lb bags for home), are often more than a year old. Our 2022 seed will start arriving in November or December.

There’s no such thing as a different brand or off brand Coke or Pepsi. Things like cola, dr wham, Mr pibb, does not taste like the sodas they represent. Say for instance soda pop that say “Cola”. What is that supposed taste like.
