    In the Farm and Ranch areas (I know in Kansas), many farmers need these to haul cattle to various pastures, add a bale bed to feed animals off the farm and to haul the family.

      They could have put a better stick shift in there to handle higher torque; Eaton-Fuller and Spicer still make great transmissions.They could have made it a stand alone option factory order only. Looks like I’ll be keeping my ‘16 Ram w/stick for some time.

    Something rather vital to me was left out. Are they going to have a mega cab configuration with the 4500/5500 chassis?
    Some of us use the cab as a sleeper. I personally took out the seats in the rear of my F-350 and constructed a comfortable sleeping/storage area.
    However, a larger cab configuration with a heavier chassis... I would switch brand loyalty if that was an option.

      @@matthewschiebout7384 I absolutely have checked out the new 2020 too and it's a beautiful truck no doubt about that. And you can't beat that 10-speed transmission, Ram fumbled, as you perfectly put it, there for sure. However, we still don't know what the numbers are. And though I'm certainly not against owning a loaded truck absolutely packed full with all the technology that the new 2020 Ford has in it, I also want one that's capable. If the new 2020 Fords outperform the new Rams than I'll absolutely stick with Ford. In the end I'm in the market for a tool not a toy though.

    All the bells and whistles are nice and the interior is pretty but what's important to me beside the towing and payload capacity is how comfortable it is to sit in the driver's seat for 9 hours. I don't want to do a long haul and physically feel beat up with my back back stiff and my ass hurting because the ergonomics of the seat wasn't designed correctly. Or the foam padding in the seat is too stiff. What wasn't mentioned in the sales pitch was what I just talked about, which should be just as important as payload capacity.

      Christopher Hallinan aisin or g56 either one honestly is fine I wish they’d keep the g56 around or bring the nv back. Everybody has admired a Manual in-line Cummins Diesel for as long as I can remember

      @@brianrobson3183 it's not ram,. It's everyone. C&c trucks are detuned for longevity, most of them are company fleet trucks that have to run 24/7

    When I heard the new 3500 had a 35k towing I started looking for a 5th wheel hitch with the capacity to match. Closest I could find was a 32k hitch. With the 4500/5500 having a 43k capacity where do I find a hitch to match? I am not interested in a gooseneck.

    They ruin the look with the antennas mounted with the roof lights. Roof lights are cool and retro but two "bulges" in between the lights is ugly, sorry. They should place the antennas at the rear of the roof!!

      I agree I think it looks tacky having antenna in between cab lights on the roof of the truck. Looks too busy.

  • @htrmacdonald
    @htrmacdonald 5 лет назад

    Really love the truck! This will have to be something that you like at for you future truck wont it. I really think that Ford still has the edge on this by offering a "light duty" pickup with a bed and fewer back leaf springs. I think if Ram came out with a similar design it would be spectacular. Not everyone wants such a harsh riding medium duty truck. I know that you use your truck for more than just towing constantly I think it would be hard to give up that softer suspension in the Ford. Also do you know if it has a wide track front axle. Another major selling point for Ford I mean the F450 has a tighter turning radius than some F150s.

    Chevy just released max tow of 35.5. And Ford just came out with a new 7.3 gas engine on heavy duty and their old engine 6.7 power stroke but hp and torque along with max tow is still on the hush hush for now.

    These engines are designed with less power output, because they're designed to pull heavy, constantly. If they put the 1000 lb ft. In this truck, it would add strain to the transmission, heat up the oil, the coolant, and they would have more warranty issues, and you'd have a less reliable truck. I don't know about this 6.7, but the older ones were designed differently, and weren't reliable when tuned. You can't just throw an intake, exhaust, computer, and turbo on these. That'll break it.

    How come viewers here are only interested in Ford recalls? Ram has had a bunch of dangerous recalls on their trucks recently. Including this interesting gem recall for roughly 222,000 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickups that are equipped with adjustable pedals. The company found that certain adjustments may cause the brake pedals to detach. Isn't that a strange one!!!!!
