Ram has come around to a reliability similar to Ford & GM. Every OEM has problems or recalls. Some more than others. I’ve noticed lately that Ford has started to slip up in reliability in my opinion. GM has their own set of problems.
My 2015 Ram 3500 hasn’t had any issues at all. The only things it’s had are several recalls. No of which have caused any problems with my truck. I still have 2 open recalls on mine. Drag link jam nut and shift interlock recall. I’m not worried about those on mine so I’ll deal with them on my own.
I’m a Cummins guy for sure. I may actually go Ford for one reason. The F450 has a wide front axle which makes the turning radius much much tighter. For anyone manuvering trailers, that’s huge. Now if RAM offers that option, I’ll go RAM for sure. I know the RAM 5500 gets the wide front axle.

Really love the truck! This will have to be something that you like at for you future truck wont it. I really think that Ford still has the edge on this by offering a "light duty" pickup with a bed and fewer back leaf springs. I think if Ram came out with a similar design it would be spectacular. Not everyone wants such a harsh riding medium duty truck. I know that you use your truck for more than just towing constantly I think it would be hard to give up that softer suspension in the Ford. Also do you know if it has a wide track front axle. Another major selling point for Ford I mean the F450 has a tighter turning radius than some F150s.
Chevy just released max tow of 35.5. And Ford just came out with a new 7.3 gas engine on heavy duty and their old engine 6.7 power stroke but hp and torque along with max tow is still on the hush hush for now.
These engines are designed with less power output, because they're designed to pull heavy, constantly. If they put the 1000 lb ft. In this truck, it would add strain to the transmission, heat up the oil, the coolant, and they would have more warranty issues, and you'd have a less reliable truck. I don't know about this 6.7, but the older ones were designed differently, and weren't reliable when tuned. You can't just throw an intake, exhaust, computer, and turbo on these. That'll break it.
How come viewers here are only interested in Ford recalls? Ram has had a bunch of dangerous recalls on their trucks recently. Including this interesting gem recall for roughly 222,000 model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickups that are equipped with adjustable pedals. The company found that certain adjustments may cause the brake pedals to detach. Isn't that a strange one!!!!!

Really nice looking with cool tech. Ford gotta step up.
Does it have the wide track front axle with better steering or just bigger spacers like before?
Put a regular dually truck bed on the Ram 4500 and I'll kiss Ford goodbye.
1st time i heard that they put active grill shutters on an HD truck!! 1500 has had it for 5 yrs.
Did they add it to the 2019 2500 and 3500?!
Chevy just released max tow of 35.5. And Ford just came out with a new 7.3 gas engine on heavy duty and their old engine 6.7 power stroke but hp and torque along with max tow is still on the hush hush for now.
You spelled Ram wrong,,,,,,Chebby does not have any med duty pickups that tows 35k.
Nice looking truck. Love that blue paint. But does it have the wide track front end?
Judging from the flares on the front end, I'm gonna go with yes.
I 2nd a yes
Isn't that a strange one!!!!!
they all have there share of recalls. . gm will b next
No 1,000 ft. lbs. of torque?
get a 5500 limited I'm still surprised they didn't put the 1000lbft engine in it
It's the same engine and well capable of 1000 ft lbs but it is tuned for lower for longevity of fleet vehicle
Great video as always 👍🏻👍🏻
It would be nice to have the same power and TQ ratings the 3500 has.
Well I know what my next truck purchase is! Absolutely beautiful!
Will "the green new john mcshame deal" allow this truck?
Beautiful truck.
Does it have a similar turning radius as your F450?
Yes
Badass truck!!
Man that is a handsome truck
Beautiful! What is the turning radius compared with the F450?
Yes
What would be the mpg when not towing?
