When he started out, he suffered from mild stage fright. One evening, circumstances had him performing without shoes and he discovered it made him feel more comfortable on stage. And, let's face it, he's a comedian.
Calling him a comedian is an insult. He a brilliant artist with a gifted mind. He ain’t up there for 90min do in g 1 liners. Comics make you laugh when good. Those who are above that make you think
@@troystewart7730 Tony, your admiration of Tim is commendable but I can do without the hyperbole. Someone who performs with the intent to make their audience laugh is a comedian. Tim might even be a great comedian but don't give me that "calling him a comedian is an insult" crap. He is what he is. How good he is at it is another matter.
Number 1: dark humour is the BEST. Number 2: how again is that song sexist? I mean he did say that he loves her a lot and that love is built on by empathy and shared experience. Isn't that what love is rather than destiny pulled me to you? Number 3: to quote the man "it's obviously a song about maths"
having a sense of humor about everything is good, it means he's coping, that he moved on, it means he's not hiding what happened under the carpet, bottling it all up and scaring himself for life. humor is one of the greatest coping mechanisms we have.
He's totally right about the creepy breathing. The first time I was put in charge of babysitting, this little girl was just snoozing happily with her head turned halfway around like the exorcist and blowing spit bubbles as she snored and gurgled like a bathtub draining, I was just standing over her stroller looking horrified and thinking "Fuck what if it dies, what if they blame me, what if she really is possessed, how could I live with myself?!"
love it. that really is how it feels to have a newborn. a little dark humor helps and if u don't kill ur own they grow up and give u grandchildren. if only there were a way to get to the grandchildren w/o the crazies u get having kids
Oh that is grand. I totally had that same thought when my daughter first stopped being the thing that woke us up in the moring. After a few days of waking her up by looking at her, I had to retrain myself by thinking, "fine, if she is dead, then I might as well do the dishes, since I sure won't be doing them after I find out..." etc... it helped me get things done, and it helped her get the sleep she needed.
This makes me so happy, that something like this exists. When my wife discovered Tim, she showed me his stuff and we would spend hours laughing and enjoying his incredible talent. She passed at the end of 2020, but when I watch his vids, it makes me feel like it did when we watched them together. "She might like pussy" LOL ! Life is so weird man.
thank you so much for this intro to Tim!!!!! how have I survived this long without Tim to cheer me up, and make me feel like a slightly not so bad parent?! very fuckin' barely, that's how! Legend, mate, you are a legend.....for a pommie bastard!
Jamie Darren You thought he was good? Guess that means you fall into the he overdosed so he was so amazing group. Name one other movie you thought he was as good as you think he was in that.
I didn't know how old his kid was. Glad to know his little one made it to Kindy. Hope she takes after her dad. I wonder what the remake of 'If I didn't have you' would be like if sung buy his daughter in 20 years...

Thanks, I always wondered if it was more comfortable for him, poano-playing wise

💯 I Agree 😇
The baby breathing was brilliant
Sam McKinlay my little sister did that and its the scariest fucking thing ever
As a parent I can tell you it is true...and scary as fuck :D

"she MADE me like this"
That line NEVER get's old.
It’s what brought me here today.
I don't know how often I've seen this. A hundred times easily. And it's still hilarious.
"She made me like this!" Well done Sarah!
I've never seen any comedian impersonate a sleeping baby before!
Billy connolly did the same joke in the 80s
Not as well

Dark humour is like food, not every one gets it.

He had me in tears with the breathing routine LOOOOOL
I really hope I end up in a marriage like Tim's. XD
Jelena Vulić we all do
#lifegoals
Thank you Tim Minchin for helping not freak out at my newborn's breathing
The breathing part broke me...
Huge talent this guy. Funny comedian and brilliant actor/musician
"Awwww, are you studying feminism at uni?" OH GOD SO MUCH TRUTH

😂😂😂 12 years later here I am hoping this never happens to me💀⚰️
In her little cot
in her little room
in our little house
in our little *LIVES*
Underrated line.
His wife's reaction to him wanting to check on the baby was even funnier than I remember and I frequently think back to it!
"So don't worry about my sick fucking wife!"
Tim Minchin
I think his wife sounds awesome! The Minchins- what a couple! xD
Yeah i'd rather hear about them then the royal fucks in england.
We're expecting our first baby, and I can't stop thinking about this clip 😂

brat pickens One can always be that single uncle.
That is a reallly good point.. Unfortunatly one of my daughers figured that out. She has lots of grandchildren by proxy

Fuck me. I cracked up and nearly choked at the end when Tim was talking to his daughter. Shit, it's truly 3:25am. I hope I didn't wake anyone ^_^
Still love this after all these years 🤣 his wife sounds like the kinda woman I would have a pint with lol
Love the end especially. His wife is awesome, and she said exactly what I was thinking :D

Wow! This guy is totally awesome! I'm watching a bunch of his You Tubes and so far, they're all fantastic!

does anyone else think that this guy would make an amazing joker? maybe even as good as heath was
batman the musical!
or a more crazy jack sparrow!
Since Heath was terrible and people only think he was good because he overdosed I would say he would easily be better.
if you think heath was terrible your opinion is void.
Jamie Darren You thought he was good? Guess that means you fall into the he overdosed so he was so amazing group. Name one other movie you thought he was as good as you think he was in that.
He imitates a sleeping child that snuffles very well... it's so cool!!
That is exactly how babies sleep.
One of my favorite videos ever..
he is a great comedian lol. I am glad with some people and I can share a sense of humor lol.
I fucking love his wife!! XD
Am I the only one who stopped breathing in 3:09?
"So don't you worry about my SICK FUCKING WIFE." Ah I love you :')
One of the funniest men I have ever heard. Tim Minchin is a genius :-)
This needs to have more views!!!!!!
On another note: I now love Tims wife as much as I love Tim.
I laughed so hard that now I can't breathe, m cheeks hurt and I have tears coming out of my eyes. ROTFL as never been more appropriate.
The last part xD
I'm not even kidding when I saw RFT in Melb I l cried laughing at this bit. I love it.
God he is so fricking funny. I laugh every single time I watch this
*'Bags of comedy oranges'*
🤣🤣🤣
this will never ever not be hilarious
I can't imagine how great it would be to grow up in that family!
I had the exact same thoughts about checking on our baby, too...nice to know I'm not the only one.
verylittleknowledge omg same!! 💓
Was babysitting a couple of my nephews, I could not stop hovering over them. I was soooo paranoid.
Never gets old.
He always sounds like he's doing a brilliant comedy impression of Christopher Walken :-)
Hahahaha, oh my God, you've just made me laugh out loud!
Holy shit...! I knew the other shoe was gonna drop, but even so I nearly killed myself laughing when it did XD
Oh. my. god. Sleeping baby! Tears running down my face! lmao
SPOT ON!!! Love it!
I had to pause the video from laughing too hard
LOL, he's hilarious in a sick kinda way... He's freakin awsome!
I think I found a new favourite comic
I didn't know how old his kid was. Glad to know his little one made it to Kindy. Hope she takes after her dad. I wonder what the remake of 'If I didn't have you' would be like if sung buy his daughter in 20 years...
How have I not seen this!
his wife sounds utterly brilliant
Wow, Tim's wife is brilliant XD
So. Funny. I was actually laughing the *entire* time.
I like the way Tim says wife.
Minchin's wife sounds very funny!
I could stop laughing at the "fuck you baby" part
Yep. He's brilliant
his wife... I could kiss her that is amazing. I wish my family thought that way!!
:O
I must buy this dvd!!! =D
p.s. I'm Christian and I LOVE Tim Minchin, I know him through a friend and the man is hilarious on stage and off.
My sister thinks her baby when she's sleeping looks like she's just fallen off the balcony. We laugh, her husband doesn't
this guy looks like jack sparrow
so brilliant!
Studied bell curves in stats recently. Made me giggle :D
I can so see myself saying shit like that... damn he's hilarious.
I have no line in my black sense of humor.
LOL this makes me cry every time its so damn funny XD!
This is the 500th comment on this very fine video.
I'm crying THIS IS TOO FUNNY
"she MADE me like this...."
*rewatches this video 16 times just for the sake of it having more views*
Still laughing my ass off.
O melhor
@Bak3dB3an
what on earth do you think the "Later On" is for ?
In all honesty, I really hope, and believe, that me and my other half will be this way xD
sometimes I think it's an in joke between comedians to see how long they can literally do nothing on stage and keep the audience still laughing.
I've almost choked myself at 3:47
He never wears shoes, except when he's singing "The good book", because that song requires a boot.
He must have the best damn wife ever...!
Sitting through this and liking the top-rated comments as they appear in the video.
@aimee22h this is the Australian version its called Ready For This Live instead of Ready for this
damn brilliant! :)
@xXMessedKrisXx Which version of the DVD do you have? I have the one filmed in the UK and it doesn't have this bit :(
Comedy oranges hurt. LOL
To which song is he referring to at the beginning of the video?
Thumbs up if Tim's awesomeness sent you here.
What a lucky guy! lol
Oh I'm OUTRAGED! I'm gonna write a shit letter to a BAD newspaper(:
She might.... HAHAHAHA **imma goin' red inna face** HAHAHA
could you give me the 9 gag link?
What song was he talking about in the start?
F**K YOU BABY!!! Hahaha... Brilliant!
