got mine from museum replicas .my order shipped 3 hours after i placed my order. that's lightning fast in my opinion. i use to go through K.O.A but the new owners / management have a bit of an integrity issue....

Nice review as allways! Can the Bosworth longsword compete with the 15th cent longsword? Regards!

Thanks! In regards to performance or general handling, yes, I think it would compete if you're aiming to stick around the $300-$400 range.

Thanks for all your reviews! Have learned a lot about swords im interested in from them. Right now i am thinking about buying the deepeeka milanese (with the idea of grinding some distal taper in the blade). I have recently seen some og the alexandria swords in person and that has awoken some desires in me. Whats your current opinion on the deepeeka milanese?

It's not bad and definitely a sword that would be perfect for customization and DIY upgrades. I mean for its price which I think is still well under $200, even if you messed up it would be a low cost learning tool. Did you check out my review on it yet? If not it's on the channel. Also sorry for such a late reply, surprised I missed this one as I'm usually pretty prompt on replying to commentors.

@@DynamoSwordChannel Yes i bought it. Shortened the blade to 75cm and added distal taper (it’s like 2mm in the tip section). Sharpened it to razor sharp. Weighs ca 950gr with a PoB of 10-12cm. Handles more like a dueling saber now. Steel is very well tempered. It flexed to more then 90 degrees and came back to true. However due to the grinding the blade warped in a scooping fashion. Cutting performance isn’t inhibited (interestingly) but it’s an eyesore. Note also that the same occurred when I put distal taper in my deepeeka Feltwell spatha. I don’t know why it keeps happening only with deepeekas.

@@r.h5550 might have to do with their forging techniques, not really sure why they'd scoop like that either. Sounds nice as far as handling goes! You're steps ahead of me as I haven't done any customization to mine as of yet.

Yea, those are hit or miss.

Yea I've heard that from a few buyers who got a lemon. Then again every sword in the production market, even Albion and A&A can be hit or miss too. Biggest fit I've ever read was on SBG Forum when a poster got a bad sword from Albion! He basically went full panic felt "everyone" was in on scamming him $2,000.00 for the sword and Albion were frauds! And that was all before asking any questions and or getting back with Albion for a return/refund/repair/replacement which he got after he calmed down and listened to a bit of reason lol.
Point is the benefits of buying this Windlass sword or even the Albion is the level of customer service both companies offer customers when there is a lemon or "hit or miss" sword now and then.
Based on mine when it's a hit its definitely a hit!

i planned getting one from this lineup. but for me living in Germany, after seeing the price, i give it a pass...there are enough european bladesmith that can make me one for the same price, but even nicer...

Yea good point, definitely a lot more custom options on your side of the water. They're nice though regarding they're to spec replicas of historical originals. But if that's not your focus then yea custom is a great option.

@@DynamoSwordChannel hi! take Krieger Historical for example. ine of the Longswords with scabbard would be around 650€....if the Windlass was 100-150 cheaper wouls be better...

Yea I've seen their work they make nice swords. You know it's kind of ironic because your issue with the Windlass regarding pricing and shipping is the same I have with European smiths as the price and shipping is usually too high for me to commit to a custom.
